Western Waves was a book that I never knew I needed to read.
WOW. This book was mesmerizing. It was awe-inspiring moving in so many ways. I know fictional books are read so that we as readers can be taken on a journey that will never happen in our own lives. But every once in a while, we come across books that just speak to us in ways we don’t anticipate. Western Waves is one of those books for me.
“Give yourself the same level of love and protection that you give to the people you love.”
Authors write books that are character driven or plot driven. And I am sure that part of this book was one of those two reasons. But I can also say that this book was personal to Brittainy, without even knowing her or asking her. I felt this book in ways I cannot truly explain. This book also spoke to me on a level I had not anticipated nor did I know I needed right now.
Stella and Damian’s story is one about a forced/arranged marriage. They both led very different yet similar lives up until that arranged marriage. They both are closed off in different ways and show their emotions in various ways. Yet one thing lingered behind their walls that was very much the same – HOPE. And not hope in a way most think. It was their own Hope in something they thought was unreachable.

I enjoyed this story so incredibly much. From the characters, to the story line to the way this book moved me. I want to say so much about this story but don’t want to give anything away. This book must be experienced as you read it. Let the words sink into your soul.
Western Waves is so much more than a story; it’s a poignant and beautiful view on life. Highly, highly recommended read for everyone.

Washed Up is a slow burn age gap medical romance that will have your heart racing as you turn the pages desperate for more. Early reviewers are calling it “addicting,” “gripping,” and “phenomenal!”
Washed Up is the first book in the The Bayside Heros series. They are all complete standalones written by different authors but main characters from each book are mentioned throughout the other books. While they can read in any order, I would recommend reading them in order (they all come out within a week of each other).
Washed Up is very sweet and swoony with a twinge of angst that Kandi is truly known for. If you have read her previos books, you will gobble this one up quickly. And for those who are knew to her writing, this is the perfect taste of what is in store with her other books.
Amanda is in the midst of a bitter divorce and attempting to restart her life. All her life, she was a stay-at-home-mom and is now going back to school to support herself. Her adult son is supporting her in every way.
Greg is an anesthiologist a local hospital and finally has his roots settled at the hospital but something still isn’t making him feel “at home”. Greg has learned to keep himself in a routine since his job is so stressful and the routine allows him to find a calm in his otherwise very chaotic job.
I truly enjoyed watching both Amanda and Greg grow and change in this story. I loved how they brough the best out in one another. The best was watching their friendship blossom – the perfect foundation to what was to come between them.
Kandi wrote another amazing story with great characters that readers can relate to in one way or another.

This is a great introduction not only to this series, but to Tijan’s amazing talent. It honestly just gives you brief glimpse into her writing prowess and how she can easily pull readers into her stories.
I did not read the first book in this series and you don’t have to at all. Tijan gives you just enough to piece things together without taking away from the main characters in this story.
Jonah is one of four siblings in the Bennett family. And they are extremely tight; two have stayed in the family business and the other two have opted to say out of it.
Jonah is one of the two siblings who chose to stay out of the family business but he quickly realizes that just because you aren’t involved in it, doesn’t mean you can avoid all that surrounds their family business.
Tijan wrote a fabulous novella and was able to give the perfect depth to the story and characters, even for a novella. I loved every bit of this and will be going back to read the first book in this series.

I enjoyed this book so much. It’s an amazing rom-com with a lot of laughs and equal amount of steam. The story flowed beautifully and I enjoyed it immensely.
