This book will definitely pull at your heart strings and not for the reasons you think. Just About Over You is a sweet friends to lovers romance but it also delves into some other issues that unfortunately arise in life.

Gannon and Amelie have been best friends since they met in fifth grade. They have gone through so much together and shared so much but one thing – how they both are in love with each other. And while this trope has been done a lot, I enjoyed how Carrie played this out. It felt natural; the pacing of everything, how certain scenes played out and how both Gannon and Amelie reacted to things.

One thing I can honestly say that happens with every book by Carrie, I get so swept up in the story and the characters, that I devour her books within a day. And Just About Over You was exactly the same. The story was honest and real and the characters are so palpable. It’s impossible to not feel what these characters feel and the story becomes very authentic.

Carrie gives her readers another genuine and heartfelt story that will pull you in from the start. She stays true to her characters, their personality and characteristics. The pacing is perfect and story unfolds beautifully. Carrie knows how to deliver a story that is filled with love, some humor and a bit of angst to keep things real.

Just About Over You is another phenomenal story from Carrie. You can never go wrong when you pick up a book from Carrie.

Enemies Abroad was a very cute and quick read. It’s an enemies to lovers story between two teachers and it’s quite entertaining from start to finish.

Rachel delivers a story about two teachers who are at odds with one another. Noah and Audrey end up being chaperones on an international trip with some of their students and it forces them to be more cordial with one another. However, things are never quite what they seem.

I enjoyed this story. It was riddled with some humorous and sweet moments along the way as these two venture through a new country. They cannot escape one another as they can back home and it forces them to endure one another in ways they haven’t before.

Overall, I did enjoy this story and these characters. However, there were parts that bored me a bit since they didn’t add much to the story and felt more like filler. But all-in-all, it was an entertaining read and one I know that many readers will like.

Another amazing mafia romance read from Siobhan.

Scared To Love is a standalone mafia romance buy does feature characters from other books within this mafia world. Each and every book can be read completely separately and read in any order. Siobhan does a phenomenal job of keeping things connected between the characters but the stories themselves aren’t interwoven, if that makes sense.

I won’t say anything in regards to the plot because even the smallest tidbit, gives away too much.

I will say that I had been looking forward to Alesso and Serena’s story from the very beginning and wasn’t let down at all.Their story is a slow burn and I expected nothing less. There’s nothing easy about each of their lives and Siobhan delivers their individual and joint stories beautifully.

Scared To Love was the perfect way for me to finish my 2021 reading list.

Kissing My Co-Worker is really sweet and fast read.

I enjoyed reading about Declan and Lily and how each of them is infatuated with the other but the other doesn’t realize it. I enjoyed the pace and execution of this story. I am not one that normally wants a story that lacks any depth to the story or characters but with this book, Jenn wrote it perfectly.

This book moves at a fast pace and keeps everything fairly surface level and that works out perfectly for this book. It’s truly a very light yet romantic read. It just give you happy, lovey-dovey vibes and puts you in the best mood after reading it.

Kissing My Co-Worker is a great holiday romance read.

Much to my surprise and annoyance, she laughs as she walks by me. Her elbow grazes my stomach in a move that I think is intentional. Before I can react, she’s down the hall and standing in front of Eliza.

“That dress is stunning on you,” she tells Eliza as if we weren’t in a strained conversation five seconds ago. “Where did you get it?”

“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” I grumble as I slam my door. The framed copy of the first building I ever designed shakes against the wall.

I lean against my desk and suck in a deep lungful of air. The scent of coconuts only intensifies my frustration.

I open a window and then sit down.

“Busy men always go through the motions and never have time to be creative. I’m not sure that fits my needs.”

What the hell?

Relational intimacy.

Loads of rubbish, just as it was ten years ago.

Instead of listening to spoiled, silver spoon-fed women who want their ridiculous projects handled, I have real work to do.

My heart pumps from the interaction with Dara, and I find myself replaying much of our conversation. It’s not until I get to relational intimacy do I realize how much time I’ve wasted—and am still wasting.
