What does this book have that makes it wonderful to read? Flawed characters that you can only love? Yes! Danger? Yes, there is! Stalker who is jealous, angry, and out for revenge against a once best friend? Why Yes! Two lovers entangled in a heist and a wine heist at that? OH yes! Hot sizzling romance? Oh hell yes! I am so excited to write a review for a book that is a hot romance all the while having the main characters being in a criminal ring! It is even has a smidge of Single White Female to it. Sounds like it could be a hot jumbled mess of a story but it is so far from it! Emily Bowie wrote Allure with so many different elements that the book is a serious page turner the whole entire time and just flows so beautifully. I found myself surprised, shocked, in love, heartbroken, panicked and even baffled at what was taking place, that I had no choice but to read it in a day in a half.

I love Rose and Kane as a couple who come together on purpose because of Castle, the main boss, and her very own mother. Yes, her very on mother is in the criminal circle and brings her daughter Rose into- what? See what I mean, things that I never expected to happen, happen in this book. The pure fact that Rose and Kane are the modern day Bonnie and Clyde is thrilling and exciting but to add hot scenes with moments of true love-makes my heart swoon. Without giving anything away, this book is such a nail bitter! Do these two finally realize how much they mean to each other before is it to late? I can’t tell you!!! You have to read this wonderfully written romantic thriller that will leave you guessing after every chapter. It is that good my friends!

I didn’t like the way his eyes traveled over my body. Like I didn’t have clothes on at all. I fought the urge to cover myself with my hands. Don’t let him see how he gets to you. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get the image of him shattering a man’s jaw out of my head. I noticed his big hands and wondered at the damage they could do when curled into fists.

“What are you thinking about?” he asked. His voice was just loud enough for me to hear it, but low enough that many of the others didn’t.

“Nothing,” I cleared my throat.

“I see you looking around.”

“So? I’ve never been here before, have I?”

He shook his head. “I don’t know. It seems like you’re taking notes with your eyes. Something like that.”

“Don’t you have something better do to than to bother me? I didn’t come here for Twenty Questions.” I stood, walking toward the bar—but to the other end of it. A girl was standing there, pouring drinks and uncapping cold beers for the guys. At lunch time. Classy.

“I was stupid and forgot to get something to drink. May I have a glass of ice water?”

The girl smiled. She looked a little rough, like a heavy smoker. Her skin was wrinkled and dry, there were yellow stains on her teeth. But it was a friendly smile, just the same. “Sure thing. I’ll give you a bottle. How about that?” She reached into the cooler and pulled out a semi-frozen icy cold water bottle for me. I thanked her, uncapping it to take a sip right away.

“Who are you, really?” I glanced over to find Drake staring at me just as he had been before. So I was going to be his project. He wanted to know all about me. Damn, he was dangerous.

Diane Alberts has done it again!!! She has taken me into the heart and soul of two characters, yes I felt everything they were going through: love, lust, torment, passion, sadness and happiness! I just adore this book…Just Adore it! Daisy and Mark are both widowers who just so happen to meet and connect in a bar on the anniversary of Daisy’s fiancés tragic death. Exchanging fake names as agreed upon, they both are there for each in a way that neither has experienced since the loss of their previous true loves. A passionate night and no strings attached is exactly what Daisy needed and for the first time in years she feels alive again. What makes this so great is that their friends have been trying to hook them up with each other the whole time. it is not until a mutual friends wedding do they find out who each other really are. Normally when you get to this part of a book, it is all sweet and cute, but not with a Diane Alberts book. It is funny, hysterical and immediately they find all the reasons why they should not be together. I just love it! The banter between them makes you laugh out loud one second and hold you hand over your heart saying “awwww” in the next. When they finally do get together, you will never want them to be apart. Did I tell you yet how much I love this book?

Mark Matthews(AKA- Chris (Evans)) will make you melt with his sweet words and you will find yourself smiling as you read the book. Not once, not twice but so many times. Daisy is written just as funny and more so feisty, so when these two are in a conversion it is priceless. They are undeniable a perfect match that sizzles off the pages! Without giving anything away, I am here to tell you that you that if you need a book that will melt your heart and you want to cheer on a couple to get and stay together, it is none other than this book! P.S.-I love the other books in the series as well and this one can be read as a stand alone.

My Review:

Searching For Disaster is the newest installment in author Jennifer Probst’s Searching For Series. I have loved loved loved this series since the very beginning and this latest installment really showcased all that I’ve loved about this town and the incredible characters who live in it.

This story was a decidedly different reading experience for me than what I’m used to from Ms. Probst. No, no, not in a bad way. In the best way possible. In this story, our heroine was a bit more damaged than the women I’m used to reading from this author and, in my opinion, really highlighted Ms. Probst’s talent and versatility as a writer. Izzy and Liam’s story was filled with high emotion and intensity that jumped off the pages and held me in rapt attention. Their story started out with a heated night that left a connection between them for over six years. Their lives went in different directions, both good and bad, and ultimately ended in the same spot at the same time. It’s hard to deny fate when something like that happens and even though Izzy was resistant at first, Liam is one hell of a determined man and won’t let this second chance slip away. It’s Liam’s determination that had me weak in the knees. That man fights for Izzy like no one I’ve ever read and holy moly, it was so damn incredible. The heat and pull between them is off the freaking charts and also one of the most intense relationships I’ve read in a while and it was delicious. I have some serious love for these two.

And once again, I have to give props to Ms. Probst for another stellar movie worthy ending! Not just with Izzy and Liam but with the ladies of this series. I was a crying blubbering mess by the time I finished the epilogue.

If you haven’t yet picked up this series, you really need to! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed! Thank you, Ms. Probst, for giving us the Kinnections ladies and then men who love them!

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady.
