It’s easier to forgive someone at fault than to forget.
Larken Maynard knows fear. Though not the kind she’s experienced while working as a paranormal investigator on the hit show, Haunted New Orleans. Her terror stems from the sadistic, manipulative group who held her hostage for most of her life. Those who condemned her for her natural-born gifts. The people she barely escaped with her life. And now, they’re back. Looking to return her to the fold and control her once again. But Lark won’t go down without a fight. And the man who used to be her friend and confidant is in for a rude awakening if he thinks she will.
Kholt Leroy has never really known anything but Balance of Light. They are his family, his friends. The ranch was his childhood home. He always wondered why his best friend disappeared, and he’s missed her greatly…for far too long. So, when he runs into her again, he’s thrilled. Unfortunately, he’s unprepared for what he finds. She’s not the person he remembers, and the stories she tells flips his entire world on its axis. Now, he must decide between the woman he has always cared about and the only family he’s ever known.
Rayvn Salvador is a lifelong bibliophile who left her eighteen-year IT career in Software Quality Assurance to live her dream: getting paid to read as a full-time editor (done as her alter ego), and to write when the mood strikes. She lives in Florida with three crazy cats and her incredibly supportive beau, dreaming about the Midwest’s changing leaves as she perfects her yoga poses on the beach.
Feeling completely sapped of life, Rain and her daughter move to the suburbs of Fairview, where white picket fences, welcoming neighbors, and immaculate green lawns make her forget the pain she’s running from. Settling into her new life, she can’t stop thinking about the guy who wrecked her car. He’s charming, says the right things, and crashed into her life right when she needs it the most. It’s only natural Mr. Handsome presents Rai with a big, shiny rock to make it picture perfect.
Then a new neighbor moves down the street. Menacing sleeves of tattoos, a permanent scowl, single with no kids—he doesn’t belong in this family-friendly community.
People are whispering.
Doors are staying locked.
Secrets are being shared.
Heart pleasing love doesn’t exist here. It digs a grave and lies in it, whispering untold truths. The quaint town of Fairview isn’t so safe anymore—and neither is Rain.

Miller just may become my favorite hockey player in this series!
Scoring Chance is the newest release in the standalone series, Carolina Comets from Teagan Hunter.
If you’ve read previous books in this series (which you don’t have to) then you’ll know that Miller is known to be a flirt and quite the playboy.
However, we get a deeper understanding of Miller in this book & it absolutely made me love him more.
Scout is the owner of the donut truck that a good chunk of the team visits on the regular. However, she’s been giving Miller some heated stares ever since he didn’t recognize her when they were a mutual friend’s house.
Scoring Chance is fully character driven with very minimal plot and surprisingly, that didn’t bother me one bit. I loved getting to know both Miller & Scout on a deeper level and seeing what made them tick. What I enjoyed even more was watching the growth.
Teagan definitely allowed these two to tell their story and it played out beautifully. Another great story to add to this series.
TEAGAN HUNTER is a Missouri-raised gal but currently lives in South Carolina with her Marine veteran husband, where she spends her days begging him for a cat. She survives off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When she’s not writing, you can find her binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. She enjoys cold weather, buys more paperbacks than she’ll ever read, and never says no to brownies.
Holden Moore can have any girl he wants… except the coach’s daughter.
Quarterback Sneak by Kandi Steiner is now live!
Quarterback Holden Moore can have any girl he wants. Except me: the coach’s daughter.
With piercing green eyes, herculean biceps, and irresistible dimples, Holden is the number one target for every girl on campus. But according to his teammates, football is the only love of his life.
He’s their leader, their QB1 and team captain who is all business and no play.
But when I’m with him? Mr. Serious isn’t serious at all. He loves to push my buttons, to pin me with those sexy eyes of his and tease me until I bite back.
I remind him I’m off limits. He can’t have me, and I don’t want him—or anyone else, for that matter.
I’m here for one reason: to show my father I’m more than his greatest disappointment.
But when an old injury flares up and I’m forced to work with Holden every day as his athletic trainer, his attempts to get under my skin start becoming harder to resist.
We can’t give in, no matter how much the air crackles between us when we’re close. I’m the coach’s daughter, and if Holden Moore wants to go pro, he’s got to play by daddy’s rules.
Otherwise, he’ll be off the team. And he’s not the only one with something to lose.

Quarterback Sneak is Kandi’s newest release in her sports romance series, Red Zone Rivals and she keeps delivering touchdown after touchdown with each book.
These books can be read as full standalones as each book features a different couple. Quarterback Sneak is Holden and Julep’s story and it’s quite the angsty one.
Holden is the captain and QB1 for his football team. It’s his last season in college and they have a new head coach. The day they meet their new coaching staff, they are also introduced to the coach’s daughter who is joining their athletic training team. But one thing coach makes clear to everyone, his daughter is off limits to all or they will suffer the consequences.
Julep traveled with her dad to a new state and college for various reasons, but her number one reason being she wants to prove to her father that she’s ready to do things on her own. Julep is very closed off to everyone but her father. The last few years have been rough for her and he’s been there every step of the way.
Julep may have moved with her dad, but her biggest step is living in her own place with a roommate, which also just happens to be across the street from The Pit – the place in which a few football players reside and where all their parties are at.
Holden and Julep are both focused are their goals and doing their best to avoid any distractions that could deter them. But neither anticipated each other and Coach’s rule just adds another layer to that attraction.
Kandi wrote this story beautifully. I was invested from start to finish and loved every bit in between. These two definitely toe the line and the angst level is really up there. I loved every bit of their story – the characters, the plot and the writing. All of it just made for an authentic read and a story to remember.
Kandi Steiner is an Amazon Top 5 bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.
An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.”
She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.
When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, planning her next adventure, or pole dancing (yes, you read that right). She enjoys live music, traveling, playing with her fur babies and soaking up the sweetness of life.

Crew Madigan is a snowboarding legend. He’s gorgeous, rich, famous and every woman’s dream. Well, except mine. I’ll take a nerdy guy with a clumsy streak who wouldn’t know what to do with a pair of skis to save his life. Superstar athletes? No, thanks. World champions? Hard pass. Crew? Definitely not. It’s been over a decade since Crew set foot on Madigan Mountain. Instead of sitting with his family during his brother’s wedding, he takes the chair beside mine. ESPN really doesn’t do that chiseled jaw justice. The cameras miss the flecks of gold in his eyes. When he invites me to his hotel room after the wedding, I break all of my own rules for just one night. But here’s the problem with just one night. Crew is impossible to forget. And he’s not the only one who loves a thrill. The crash, the broken bones, are inevitable. Because together, we’re a little too wild.

A little Too Wild is the third book in the Madigan Mountain series and each book is written by a different author. While the books do surround a particular family, you can read them in any order and not miss anything.
ALTW features Crew Madigan. He’s a snowboard legend and hasn’t returned home since he left over a decade ago. He’s now returned for his brother’s wedding but doesn’t intend to stay longer than needed. Too many memories and no reason to truly stay.
Raven is Crew’s best friend’s sister. They’ve never seen the other as anything more than friends. But on the night of his brother’s wedding, they decide one night won’t kill them and give into this new attraction they seem to have discovered.
Devney does a superb job of giving this story some great depth and keeping the characters authentic and real. I love that she blends the snowboarding aspect beautifully and it all just blends wonderfully. Devney delivers the right amount of angst, drama and spice to keep readers turning the pages.
Another great story that readers will love!

Find out what happens when their perfect image breaks in #1 New York Times bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken’s steamy new adult romance.
Everything was perfect. Until it wasn’t.
Until my family took on a foster girl and placed her across the hall from me. A charity case to look good and a person who should have never existed in my world. I kissed her to get her to stop talking, and then I kissed her again because I liked the taste of her words–I liked her. It was our secret until we got caught–that night changed everything.
We became strangers living in the same house, seeing the same ghosts of our past mistakes, but I can’t stop thinking about us, about those forbidden moments. I pretend to hate her, I tell her I’ll never forgive her, and then Quinn, my ex-best friend, steps into the picture. I can’t tell if he actually likes her or if he has a death wish and just likes pissing me off, but what do I say? Stay away from my foster sister? She’s mine? I’ve already had her? Saying that to him would expose what we were and ruin everything. We’re all three of us living multiple lies, and eventually, I know our ivory tower of perfection is going to come crashing down.
He knows my secrets. I know his. And now she knows both.
She wants. He wants. But I always—always get what I want.
And what I want is the girl, no matter what it may cost me.

The Perfects is RVD’s latest standalone mature YA romance.
RVD definitely knows how to deliver a unique take on stories that keeps readers right at the edge the whole time.
Ambrose seems to have to it all on the outside. Afterall, his family needs to look perfect. And when they take in Mary-Belle after a family member passes away, it’s just another notch of “perfection” to everyone watching them.
However, Ambrose and MB push the boundaries of their attraction until everything starts chipping away. And then in steps Quinn to help prevent their entire world from imploding around them.
RVD delivers an usual take on the love triangle and adds in a lot of angst, tension and suspense to the mix. While I don’t care for the insta-love aspect of it in this story, RVD definitely made up for it throughout the story. This story moves at a fast pace and there’s not a whole of slowdown at any point.
The Perfects is definitely another entertaining story from RVD that you don’t want to miss out on.
