The book I have been desperately waiting to read – Cayson’s story.
I truly don’t even know where to start my review. Blanket of Stars is hands-down my favorite book in this series.
Cayson is probably the most complex Bexley. While the whole Bexley family went through a horrific event, nothing gave Cayson a purpose til flying. And then when that was taken from him due to an accident, his world crumbled too. He’s now back home and trying to get back on his feet again.
Olivia is best friends with Cayson’s brother’s girlfriend, Brooklyn. These two have seen each other around but it’s not until they move next door to one another that things start to spark. However, she’s not looking for anything permanent so they make an agreement to be friends with benefits. And their love story evolves from that.
This story was absolutely so beautiful. It not only was filled so much more romance, but it was Cayson’s recovery and learning everything again.
I hate saying goodbye to these brothers but it’s been a beautiful journey watching them all grow and find one another again. This series is one of my favorites.

Title: Three Strikes And You’re Mine
Author: R.S. Grey
Genre: Contemporary Romance
About Three Strikes And You’re Mine:
Dear Past Me,
Future You here, coming to offer a little advice: hang on for dear life. This summer is going to be a wild one. I know what you’re thinking: Life’s going so well! I don’t have a care in the world! Wrong. That culinary career you love so much? It’s about to go up in smoke, and your boyfriend? Yeah…he’s a goner too. If only love were as simple as, say, actually adding yourself to the lease agreement so you don’t suddenly find yourself loveless, jobless, and homeless!
Did your five-year plan include moving back in with your family and sharing a bed with your Nonna? No? Well, hate to break it to you…it’s exactly as traumatizing as it sounds.
Have you had enough? Too bad. Buckle up—it gets worse. Your new boss is a professional baseball player, and he’s hot, like really hot, but you’ll pretend not to notice because he’s a single dad and it feels wrong to ogle him in front of his innocent child. Unfortunately, he thinks you’re sexy as hell too. Unrequited love is one thing; mutual off-limits pining destined to explode in the worst of ways? What could go wrong…wrong…wrong… (That’s me fading out because you have to take it from here, kid. Good luck! Don’t screw this up for me.)

I swear Rachel just gets better and better with each book she releases.
I absolutely loved this story. I know I seem to say that a lot, but when it’s true, it’s true.
Three Strikes and You’re Mine is a wonderful blend of sports and humor. There are very few authors who nail this combination and I have to Rachel to this group with this book. I am fairly picky when it comes to my humor and blending it with sports but this one just hit the spot for me.
Chloe recently quit her job (and her boyfriend who was her boss) and now finds herself in search of a new job. Chloe is a chef and finds herself being hired but a famous baseball player and is now a single dad to Harper. And I will let you read the book to find out what happens next.
The writing in this story flowed beautifully and I adored all of the interactions between everyone. Rachel definitely brought her A game in writing this story and she nailed everything!

Until You is Kristy’s first release in 2023 and the first book in The Redemption series.
Crew Madden is a police officer on leave after a traumatic event. On top of that, his wife chose to leave him and their two beautiful twin girls. When an opportunity arises for Crew, he jumps at it.
Tennyson West is Crew’s tenant and she too is hiding out, but Crew is not aware of that. She’s mysterious but sexy and something he’s not looking for.
Until You has everything I need in a great romance story. Kristy’s skills in developing the most authentic and real characters along with being able to picture this town, is the chef’s kiss. I connected so easily to these characters and watching them slowly fall in love was just everything.
I won’t go into details because I don’t want to give any scenes or details away but Kristy gave this book life and I felt it.
Until You is a perfect standalone romance and one you need to grab.
I’ve been told I’m the grumpiest goalie in the league, and that may be the case, but who cares when I’m also killing it this season? The Carolina Comets are currently on a record-breaking run, and I intend to keep it that way.
This means the last thing I need is distractions, but my mother didn’t get that memo. She’s getting married, and after the fiasco I caused at her last wedding, I’m required to bring a date.
That would be easy, except for one little thing: I don’t date.
So why is the only person I want to take a single mom who can’t stand me?
We’re a horrible match, and it makes no sense that I’d be into her. But the more time we spend together, the more it’s starting to look like this might be one game I can’t win.

TEAGAN HUNTER writes steamy romantic comedies with lots of sarcasm and a side of heart. She loves pizza, hockey, and romance novels, though not in that order. When not writing, you can find her watching entirely too many hours of Supernatural, One Tree Hill, or New Girl. She’s mildly obsessed with Halloween and prefers cooler weather. She married her high school sweetheart, and they currently live in the PNW.
Glove Save is the sixth book in Teagan’s Carolina Comet series and she continues to smash these stories!!
I have been anxiously awaiting this book since I knew it was Greer and Stevie’s. If you haven’t read this series yet, no worries. They are all standalones, but you get glimpses of characters throughout each book and Stevie has made appearances in other books. But Glove Save is when we really get to know these two.
I have to honestly say that Macie almost stole the show in this one. LOL I love her so much – her character is everything!
But I digress. Greer absolutely surprised me (and probably himself). I loved how Stevie and Macie were able to bring this man to his knees.
Glove Save is another fantastic book in this great series!! Please go read these books – you have no idea what you are missing out on.
Each beat hides a secret, and his voice now replaces the music, demanding I uncover the truth.
Heart Sick, an all-new edge-of-your-seat dark romance from International Bestselling author Monica James is available now!
Piano has always been my one true love.
So when the music stops, I do whatever I can to hear it again.
But when I wake, all I hear is his heart and the memories that come with it.
This is my body.
My mind.
But not my heart.
Each beat hides a secret, and his voice now replaces the music, demanding I uncover the truth.
I’m sent to a place to get better, and that’s when I meet her.
Every artist needs a muse, and Luna allows me to hear the music again. But when her secrets soon become mine, I realize it’s because I’ve lived this life before.
Or rather, he has.
The man whose heart beats within my chest knows Luna…and everything she’s done.
A panic overcomes me as I frantically scramble to take the tubes out of his mouth and nose.
“Ms. Huxley! Stop.”
But I will not.
The doctors and nurses don’t know my son better than me. He was born a fighter. He doesn’t die this way.
Strong arms pull me away, but I am stronger and fight with all my might. I may be slender, but that’s never stopped me in the past. I kick, scream and bite, but in the end, I am yanked away from Misha as doctors and nurses attempt to restrain me in a brown leather chair.
Spittle dribbles from my chin as I am a rabid momma protecting her cub.
Dr. Sterling crouches low as I thrash wildly. “I know this is very painful for you. I can’t even begin to imagine your pain. But we have a match for Misha’s…heart. Don’t let his death be in vain. Your son can live on by saving the life of another. Please, Ms. Huxley, honor your son as I know he would want.”
His heart?
Vomit rises and I turn my face, expelling nothing but bile onto the polished linoleum.
“You want to take his…heart?”I ask, horrified, my voice quaking when I can construct a coherent sentence. “You monster!”
The doctor doesn’t take offense. “Only with your approval.”
I know protocol is that the hospital can proceed even over family objection, and I am objecting very damn hard. But Dr. Sterling is trying to reason with me. She wants me to see this is the right thing to do.
But there is no right.
Why does this person deserve to live while Misha dies?
He walks around with the heart that is as much a part of me as it is my son’s. No, that isn’t fair. That is a cruel reminder that I will never get back the only person who I ever loved in this world.
“Think if it was me, Mom. If I had the chance to live…” Misha’s words ring loudly and I cover my ears, blocking out what I know is the truth.
“If I do that, that means you d-die,” I whimper, squeezing my eyes shut.
“Who are you talking to?” Joy asks, her concern clear. “I’m already gone. But I can live on. Every beat of my heart helps another live.”
Misha has always been selfless, and it seems even in death, it’s no different.
But how do I say yes? How can I live knowing I said yes to ending my son’s life so another can live?
“We don’t have much time,” the doctor says softly.
“Who is it?”
“We are not at liberty to—”
“If I am giving you my son’s fucking heart, then I want to know it’s going to someone who deserves it!” I remove my hands and blink back my tears.
The doctor peers around the room to ensure no one can hear. “It’s a young man, a little older than your son, and I can assure you…he will look after Misha’s heart.”
“What’s his n-name?”
The doctor appears torn whether to reveal this information to me, but she knows this will make all the difference. If I can humanize this match as not merely a number but a person, she knows I will say yes.
“Dutch.”
“What sort of name is that?”I ask abruptly, sniffing away my tears.
“It’s a unique name for a very unique man. He will honor Misha because his heart is theirs. It’s because of Misha that Dutch can live. Please.”
Peering over at Misha, I can’t help but think he would actually like Dutch’s strange name because Misha never judged. He accepted everyone.
I watch the rise and fall of his chest and memorize every single breath. But this won’t be the last memory I have of my son.
I come to a shaky stand and forget where I am as I climb onto the hospital bed and press my ear to Misha’s chest. I listen to the tender rhythm of his heart, the heart which was always too big for this world.
Wrapping my arms around him, I sob quietly. I don’t think I’ll ever run out of tears. “I’m sorry, Misha. I’m so sorry. You don’t deserve this. You deserve to live. If I could give you my life, I would, because I am nothing without you. Please forgive me. This is my fault.”
Clutching Misha, I remember his smell, the softness of his skin. I remember that no matter what happens, in life or death, he will always, always be my son.
“Okay,”I whisper, choking back my tears. “You can have his heart because mine is fucking broken.”
And those are the last words uttered as I succumb to the darkness, wishing to never see the light again.
BRAVO MONICA!!! WOW!!!
I am fairly new to reading Monica’s books but I can tell you, I have quickly become a HUGE fan of her writing.
Heart Sick is like nothing I have ever read before and I have read a lot of dark romance. There were so many twists and WTF moments, that my jaw practically became unhinged from how many times it dropped.
I could not stop reading this book once I started. It’s a wild, f*cked up ride and I was there for every moment of it. I had no idea what was going to happen next and I love that about this book. It was thrilling and filled with so much suspense. I love how she dribbled the romance aspects in and while the plot hints at that, it’s not all about that.
I want to say so much, but I can’t for fear of giving something important away. My only gripe was that the ending felt a bit rushed compared to the rest of the book. I wanted a bit more details on certain things, but maybe we’ll get those in the next book. Yes, this is a duet and continues on in the next book.
Monica – I applaud you for your raw and unique storyline and characters.
Readers – if you love a dark and twisted romance – grab this one now.

A mafia romance about family, loyalty, and love, Dissolution is the powerful conclusion to #1 New York Times bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken’s Eagle Elite series.
“There is always a beginning—I will be their end.”
For ten years the Cosa Nostra has ruled with an iron fist in Chicago—their reign is about to end, and I’ll be the one to bring them down.
One more job for the Italian Americans, and I’m done. Except this “one job” involves saving the boss’s brother and sister. When things go horribly wrong, and a price is put on all of our heads from my Family back home—I’m forced to stay in Chicago, offer not just my gun but my protective services to the young girl I saved while also making sure nobody touches her. Myself included.
My own Family has splintered. Half want me dead, half want me alive, and the only people willing to protect me are the very ones I hate—her included.
I’m the Grim Reaper of the Sicilian mafia, and I bow to no one, not even her, so when she asks me to teach her to fight, when she tells me she wants to be made, I give in just so I can piss off the bosses. Only I made one mistake.
I protect her from the world. But who protects me from her?
One more battle remains between the families in Italy and in the States. One more battle where I’m torn between both sides. And I’m left protecting the one girl who has the potential to wreck us all.
It all started a decade ago at Eagle Elite University—the beginning. It will end on the streets of Chicago—with me as the end.
I, Santino Sinacore, am their end.

North Boston University’s star running back, notorious bachelor, and number one on my people I would murder if I could get away with it list.
And now?
He’s my new roommate.
I used to think I loved him.
But that was before I hated him.
He doesn’t remember who I am, or how he made my life miserable for years. And before I unknowingly moved across the street from him, I couldn’t have cared less. I was living my life despite him and what happened that summer, chasing my dream of becoming a tattoo artist.
“The Pit,” as the university so gracefully nicknamed the house he lives in with three other football players, has served as nothing more than a pain in my ass and a constant reminder of the boy who broke my heart. Watching him parade his one-night-stands in and out of it never helped, either.
But with rent this cheap and so close to the tattoo shop, I’ve learned to ignore him — no matter how he’s tried to get under my skin.
At least, until this summer. Because when a water and mold disaster leaves me with no choice but to vacate my house, I have nowhere to go. And Leo Hernandez offers me a deal I can’t refuse.
Live at The Pit with him and the guys, free of charge, until my landlord fixes this mess.
Ignoring him was easy when I lived across the street, but in the same house, with him shirtless half the time and watching me with his cocky grin and searing gaze? It’s impossible.
Still, I have to try. I have to push him away, even when he makes it infuriatingly difficult to do so.
He’s broken my heart once.
I won’t let him do it again.

Hail Mary is the final book in the Kandi Steiner’s Red Zone Rivals series and she truly delivers a Hail Mary – pun absolutely intended.
Kandi has nailed the college sports romance with this series. I cannot say enough amazing things about each book. And they’re all so different and yet so damn consuming.
Mary and Leo’s story was one my favorite ones to read. Mary and Leo end up being roommates, much to Mary’s dismay. Mary has always been apprehensive about football players, but she been quite mean and rude towards Leo is particular. He has no clue why but he does everything he can to make suer she’s comfortable during her temporary stay.
Kandi has this knack for writing characters that are uniquely strong and know how to hold their own. I loved Mary so much. And Leo – that man surprised me!! Their story was superb!!
I have loved every single one of these books int this series. First series that I have ever given 5 stars to every book.
Truly, a MUST READ!!!
Meet Kandi
Kandi Steiner is an Amazon Top 5 bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.
An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.”
She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.
When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, planning her next adventure, or pole dancing (yes, you read that right). She enjoys live music, traveling, playing with her fur babies and soaking up the sweetness of life.

Twenty years have passed, yet not one thing in my hometown has changed … even the man I left behind.
I was the girl no one could touch because they all feared my father. He was a legend, the head football coach who had created this town’s Friday night lights. Only two football players dared to win my heart—the boy next door and the new guy in town. I grew up on this football field and fell hard for these two men, who loved me just as much as the game.
When my dad died, decisions had to be made, and I chose the one who held my heart.
As I sit here in the stands, watching the one I didn’t choose fill my father’s role, I can’t help but remember our fumbled past. Wondering if I followed the right guy or what my life would have been like if I hadn’t.
This is a tough one for me to review. It’s an interesting love triangle. And let me tell you – it’s nowhere near what you think.
This book is told mostly from past and builds to the present. I have to say that I enjoyed how Lauren was able to keep you guessing to the very end as to who Sadie ends up with.
I will tell you that there is no unnecessary drama in this and the love triangle isn’t as bad as it sounds.
This was a unique take on YA sport romance with a love triangle. That’s all I am going to say.

Before Us is the perfect example of why I love reading Jewel’s books.
I don’t even know where to start but I do know that as a reader, I will not spoil any of the story line because the book needs to be experienced as you read.
Before Us was quite an emotional read for me and I knew it was going to be from the very beginning. And I was completely ok with that. However, it’s Jewel’s writing that puts this book on a whole other level. You experience everything these characters go through; I cried, laughed and just felt so much in between.
Jewel sprinkles some of the best advice about living within these pages – I practically highlighted the book!! I loved the dialogue and the interactions amongst all these characters. I LOVED EVERYTHING!!
I am truly at a loss for words to express how phenomenal this story is. Jewel’s writing is superb and it’s so unlike any other author I’ve read.
Before Us is a MUST READ!!

Despite growing up without it, William Walker knows all about love. He loves his wife. He loves his children. He loves the cat. He has the perfect family, and all he had to do to get it was push aside one pesky little feeling.
Unfortunately, love doesn’t pay the bills.
Following redundancy, an opportunity thrusts the amiable electrician into a world he’s only seen on the big screen, a world he’s now a part of creating. As a spark on a movie set, William is enthralled by the challenge. The freedom. The possibilities. And, in particular, by one very charismatic actor…
Laurence Cole.
The trouble with Laurence is that he makes that pesky feeling resurface. Worse, the longer he sticks around, the stronger it grows, the more it changes. Into what, William doesn’t know. It’s not love. William Walker knows all about love.
Born in Manchester, England, Nicola Haken is an author of multiple genre-hopping romance novels, including Bring Me Home, Broken, and Goodbye Kate. She lives in Rochdale with her husband, four children, and a menagerie of pets, is addicted to Pepsi Max and chicken nuggets, and wishes Harry Styles was her best friend. Like one of her characters, Hugo Hayes, Nicola is autistic, and has battled with her mental health her entire life – winning every time…eventually. With two of her kids also on the spectrum, life can get pretty…interesting! When she’s not locked in her office playing with her imaginary friends, she can usually be found reading, binge-watching boxsets, or belting out great songs and pretending she doesn’t sound like a cat in distress. Oh, and if the kids ever ask, she moonlights as the Pink Power Ranger while they’re sleeping…
Nicola has popped my M/M romance cherry and it was the perfect book to do so.
William’s story is one for the books. I felt his emotions coming off the pages and just wanted to swallow him up in hugs and love.
I won’t give his story away because it’s one that needs to blind. The blurb gives you and idea of what his story is about, but it’s experiencing everything that he feels and goes through that makes this book phenomenal.
I have to say that Nicola creates some of the best characters and makes them so relatable and easy to love.
There is so much growth and self-reflection in this book and it just really seeped into my soul.
