“Hey,” I whisper as I enter the room for what I know is going to be the last time. 

“Hey, beautiful.” His red-rimmed eyes shine with honest emotion, conveying so much without words. “Come sit with me.” 

I walk quietly to the window and sit beside him, memorizing the stunning view I have always loved. 

He takes my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. “I’m so sorry, Stevie.” 

“Me too.” 

“I never meant to hurt you.” 

“Nor I you.” 

“I was selfish and cruel and reckless with your feelings, and I won’t ever forgive myself for it.” 

“Forgive yourself,” I say without hesitation. “There’s been enough hurt, guilt, and blame.” I lean in and kiss his cheek with tears in my eyes. “I already forgive you.” 

“You shouldn’t.” 

“I love you and care deeply about you. That won’t ever change. A part of my heart will always belong to you.” Removing the jewelry he bought me for my last birthday, I place it on the coffee table, and it makes it final. Real. 

This is the last time we will ever see one another. 

As much as this needs to happen, it’s sad it has come to this. 

“But you love him more.” Pain underscores his words, and I hate I’m the cause of it. 

My inclination is to refuse to answer or deflect, but we’re not tiptoeing around one another anymore. “I do.” 

Agony flares in his eyes, and it hurts, but I’m not sorry I was truthful. 

“I will always love you,” he says as we stare at one another through blurry eyes. “It’s because I love you I am letting you go. We need to let what we had stay in the past and move forward along different paths. We’re very different people now.” 

“We are,” I acknowledge with a nod. “And it’s neither of our faults we have ended up here.” 

“I thought we would grow old and gray together,” he says with a sad smile. 

I’m not sure I did, but it’s hard to remember exactly what I was feeling at the time. “Things happen for a reason. Some lucky woman is out there waiting for you to find her. I hope she doesn’t have to wait too long.” 

He brings our conjoined hands to his mouth and brushes his lips across my knuckles. “I want you to be happy, and he’s your happy place. I see it now.” 

He is, and I hope it’s not too late to reclaim what we had. 

“I won’t ever forget you,” I say over a sob. “I will always cherish the time we shared. Be happy.” I swipe at the tears streaming down my face. “It’s all I want for you. Don’t ever stop fighting for that happiness because you deserve it.” 

I don’t protest or pull away when he leans forward and kisses me softly and briefly on the lips. 

It’s the only goodbye we can handle. 

I hug him for the last time, and then I get up and walk out the door and out of his life.

TRIPP!! That is all I am saying.

Brooke does this couple justice! I love this story unfolds and how their relationship moves and develops in a natural way.

There were a few areas that dragged for me (discussing certain movies felt like filler) but overall, this book moves the perfect pace.

Readers will trip over Tripp. He’s just so, EVERYTHING!!! Magnolia is a firecracker – that’s the best way to describe her. I love her and her personality.

Stay With Me is a book every romance reader will enjoy.

I absolutely love Ali’s writing style and after reading her The Love Hypothesis series and seeing this was a paranormal story, I did not hesitate at all to jump on this one.

I truly don’t know what to say other than what keeps repeating in my head, “THIS IS BOOK IS FUCKING AWESOME!!”

Ali delivers a very entertaining paranormal romance about forced marriage. I FREAKING LOVE Misery and Lowe and their entanglement. Everything between them unfolded exceptionally well and left me wanting more each time.

This is completely outside Ali’s normal STEM based books but she knocks this book out of the park. Her writing ability is uncanny and I absolute love that I am so easily able to picture each scene in my head.

Bride is highly recommended paranormal read that anyone will enjoy.

Eva wasn’t sure what she’d expected the inside of DART’s main office building to look like, but a modern, brightly lit headquarters with a jungle-themed fountain in the lobby wasn’t it. Although the demon and angel statues eyeing each other with suspicion in the center of the spray weren’t all that unexpected.
Keeley had thrown a coin into the crystal pool out of some sort of superstition as they walked toward the auditorium where they now sat, waiting impatiently for someone to show up and give them the scheduled orientation.
“Of course, they’re late,” Carlos growled. “Go figure that a bunch of Aegis traitors can’t be trusted to handle shit efficiently.”
“Idiots,” Sig said, kicking the stage in front of him, leaving a dusty boot print.
Eva wasn’t so sure they were idiots, but this was definitely not a professional start to the cooperative mission.
The door near the back of the stage whispered open, and everyone went silent as a figure emerged from the shadows.
“Holy shit.” Keeley sounded a little breathless as she jabbed Eva in the ribs. “No way that guy is a demon. Angel for sure.”
Keeley wasn’t serious…probably…but Eva understood where she’d gotten the angel thing. The man who’d just entered the chamber was stunning. Really stunning. His wavy blond hair gleamed like a halo under the harsh stage lights, and ropy, thick muscles in his forearms flexed under tan skin as he strode across the stage. The strike of his combat boots echoed through the chamber, making her heart pound with every step. His black DART T-shirt was tucked into midnight tactical pants that cut a shadowy figure against the dark curtain behind him.
He gave them all a bored glance as he walked toward the mic. Seriously, he was going to use the mic to talk to a whopping six people?
She felt a little foolish when he strolled past the mic and plopped down on the edge of the stage, his long legs dangling over the side.
“My name is Logan,” he said in a deep, rumbling voice that made heat curl in her belly. “Apparently, I drew the short stick, and now I have to give you the DART 101 lecture. You probably don’t want to be here any more than I do, so here are the basics. DART stands for Demonic Activity Response Team. We formed thirty-five years ago when we broke off from The Aegis because, I dunno, let’s go with philosophical differences. Now, we’re doing this prisoner exchange thing, where people from DART hang out at Aegis headquarters, and you guys hang out here—”

Scarlett is not your typical heiress. Yes, she realizes how fortunate she is, however, she doesn’t want to be known for that. She wants to be relatable to the every day individual. And when she is provided an opportunity to live outside the life of her Lancaster, she takes that opportunity, with a bit of hesitancy though.

Monica does a wonderful job of letting this story play out naturally. But with saying that, certain revelations seem quite fast and the characters address this very well. I found this story to be authentic in so many ways yet very entertaining for readers. There is very light drama and is all handled well.

Overall, another great read from Monica Murphy!!

Just when I thought this series would wrap up with this book, Monica delivers a cliffy like that and now I am not so patiently waiting for book four.

Mia seeks revenge. Mia demands answers. But her growth in this book is just as monumental as is her journey for answers.

Quinn, Quinn, Quinn. This man is unequivocally devoted to Mia. He will protect her with all that he is and burn down the world trying.

These two go through alot and we as readers get to see those walls come down with one another. And the way this unfolds into this story is perfect.

I am purposely being vague with this review. I thoroughly enjoyed this book because I truly had no idea what to expect, outside of the blurb (and obviously reading the previous two books).

Monica does a phenomenal job of blending the suspense aspects of this story with the romantic portions. It all flows wonderfully and gives the story those multiple layers we crave as readers that helps us empathize with the characters.

This series is phenomenal and while I hate waiting for a fourth book, I am so excited it’s not over yet!!
