A dark contemporary billionaire romance with a tortured hero, touch her and die, and secret society tropes from USA Today Bestselling Author duo P. Rayne.
My life changed forever the day I saved Obsidian Voss from drowning in the ocean.
When my father lands himself in trouble, I take a job working for Obsidian, one of the country’s most famous billionaires. It doesn’t take long for me to realize that there’s more behind the façade he presents to the world—a darker, more dangerous side.
Still, I’m drawn to him. As he introduces me to a world I never knew existed, I find myself falling for him. But I’m torn because I came to Midnight Manor with a hidden agenda, and I’ve been lying to Obsidian from the start. Eventually, he’s going to find out.
My secret will change everything. And if Obsidian really is the monster he thinks he is, what will he do to me?

Twisted Truths is the final, full-length novel in the Midnight Manor series and this duo definitely delivers it perfectly.
As with all the other books, this is a fairytale re-telling and this was my first one of The Little Mermaid. It can be easily read as a standalone but these books are so much better read in order as you get to the know the Voss brothers.
Ariana is now trying to live an honest life, one she never really had growing up and working with her father and brother as con-artists. However, when she finds out that her father has put their lives in danger by promising money he can never deliver on, she finds herself back in her old shoes again.
Sid has always been the most mysterious brother out of the four of them. He’s there but we never get to really know much about him except he’s quiet and keeps to himself. In this book, we get to see why and have a better understanding of this brooding man. Also – I got the tiny hint they threw in the book and it makes me love this man even more for it.
These ladies definitely upped the spice and naughtiness in this one and I loved it as it suited the relationship between Sid and Ariana. It was great to see things develop between Sid & Ariana in a natural way, giving readers more to their story.
A fabulous ending to this series and one I highly recommend reading!
Meet P. Rayne
The darker side of USA Today Bestselling Author, Piper Rayne.
Passenger Princess by Morgan Elizabeth is now live!
A sexy, Bodyguard, Grumpy/Sunshine, Celebrity romance from best-selling author, Morgan Elizabeth.
Who knew applying to be the next Miss Americana while you’re drunk on tequila would actually get anywhere? But that’s exactly what happened to Ava when she wanted an excuse to promote her best friends’ new businesses. She never even expected to get past the first round of auditions, much less win the beauty pageant, and now here she is, wearing a silk sash and a crown on her head, trying to picture what the next three months is going to look like. As the newly crowned Miss Americana, she’s off on a three-month press tour, visiting all 50 states as part of her contract.
For a girl who loves adventure, it’s a dream come true, except for two hiccups. The first one being the morality clause and long list of rules the organization is forcing her to live by while wearing the crown. And second, and probably the worst one, is the deliciously sexy, yet grumpy driver-slash-bodyguard assigned to keep her in line.
Jaime normally spends his days as head of security for the world-famous rock band Atlas Oaks, but when they take a break from touring, he’s excited for a change of pace. Until he learns his new assignment is the gorgeous and ever-frustrating pageant princess who gets under his skin in more ways than one.
When he learns Ava has made it her mission to drive him crazy—by constantly looking for a new hit of endorphins by toeing the line as well as by flirting with him endlessly—he realizes what he thought would be a simple assignment is anything but. Now if only he can survive the next ninety days keeping his hands to himself and off the woman he can’t get out of his head.

This was a very cute & sweet romantic story – sort of Miss Congeniality with some steam.
Ava was an absolute hoot in this story and I loved her so much. She definitely made this book all the more enjoyable.
Passenger Princess was my first book by Morgan Elizabeth, but definitely won’t be my last. This was a phenomenal romcom.
I loved how Ava and Jamie’s story went from pushing each other buttons to Jamie doing just about anything for Ava. This rough bodyguard surprised me at every turn with how sweet and soft his was with Ava but was an imposing figure with everyone else.
Just go but this one, you won’t regret it.
Meet Morgan Elizabeth
Morgan is a born and raised Jersey girl, living there with her two boys, toddler daughter, and mechanic husband. She’s addicted to iced espresso, barbecue chips, and Starburst jellybeans. She usually has headphones on, listening to some spicy audiobook or Taylor Swift. There is rarely an in between. Writing has been her calling for as long as she can remember. There’s a framed ‘page one’ of a book she wrote at seven hanging in her childhood home to prove the point. Her entire life she’s crafted stories in her mind, begging to be released but it wasn’t until recently she finally gave them the reigns.
I’m so grateful you’ve agreed to take this journey with me.
It was supposed to be a simple assignment: stake out the golden boy hockey player Cole “Mac” Mackenzie as he exited the arena after a Los Angeles Blades game. Follow him. Get dirt on his personal life–something salacious to please the money-hungry gossip rag I worked for. But I missed the moment Mac left the building. Or so I thought… Twenty minutes later, I saw actual Mac exit after the media left. Apparently, he’d used a decoy to throw off the press–waiting until everyone left to make his getaway in private. I started following the real Mac, and got more than I bargained for. He led me to a mystery building tucked away in the middle of the suburbs. Turned out, he was going to… a private club. A club that wasn’t for the faint of heart–as I’d soon find out after sneaking in. I wasn’t expecting to connect with Mac inside. Nor did I anticipate him to invite me back as his personal guest. What started as a simple assignment turned into something much more–my biggest fantasy I never knew I had. This wasn’t about the tabloid story anymore. I lied to my boss, told him there was nothing to see. Meanwhile, I kept returning to the club. I was addicted to unraveling the mysteries of Mac’s world. Addicted to the man who lit a fire inside me. But–with my own secret–it was only a matter of time before I got burned.

The Player’s Club is a sports romance with mild BDSM elements. Do not let those BDSM elements make you shy away from this.
This story had a great strong start and Fallon easily and quickly grabs readers attention and keeps them vested for probably 85% of the story. Starting around 60ish percent, the concept of the book started to shift and while I could get glimpses of the author trying to blend it altogether, things weren’t as smooth as the beginning.
While the overall story was entertaining and kept me intrigued, there were parts that definitely needed fleshed out more or didn’t fit the story progression; details that were sort of forgotten halfway through the book that were important in the beginning; and then that ending just didn’t fit the overall flow with the rest of the book – it was too fast and wrapped up too easily.
Mac and Elodie’s story is fast-paced and more on the intsa-love side of things. We do get to see them get to know one another outside of their original agreement and those dates were really cute. These scenes were a great way for readers to show their relationship growing, but it’s an example of how parts weren’t in the right progression of the story.
Again, I did enjoy this book overall. I gobbled the beginning of this book very quickly and needed to know where this story was going and how everything played out. And nothing in this book has deterred me from not wanting to read Brady’s book when it releases.
Meet Fallon Greer
Fallon Greer is a twentysomething lover of romance novels, coffee, and bookish t-shirts, of which she has far too many. She lives in Miami with her Persian cat, Mortimer, who loves to sit on Fallon’s laptop when she’s trying to write. Fallon first discovered her love of reading when she’d steal her mother’s Lisa Kleypas novels. That led her to start writing the types of books she loves to read. When she’s not daydreaming through conversations with people and pretending to listen, she’s putting those daydreams to good use, writing novels as hot as the Florida sun.
Trope: Best friend’s little sister, age-gap, forced proximity, summer fling to forever, small town
Synopsis
It was a simple promise—watch out for my best friend’s little sister the same way I would my own.
Turns out, Brenna is a lot more grown-up than I realized. And a lot more beautiful. Which makes sharing an apartment with her this summer tougher than I expected.
Until she shares something with me. Something she’s never shared with anyone. Something that makes me want to step in and help.
Something that changes everything.
Soon enough, my wanting to be with her has nothing to do with that promise I made and everything to do with the undeniable spark between us.
It doesn’t matter that I’m more than a decade older than she is. Or what our small town thinks.
But Brenna’s time in Hickory Hills is limited, making everything more complicated.
The more time I spend with Brenna, the harder it is to stay apart. The more I want to convince her to stay.
I already broke my promise to her brother. But I will keep my promise to her.
USA Today Best Selling Claire Hastings is a walking, talking awkward moment. She loves Diet Coke, gummi bears, the beach, and books (obvs). Amelia’s phone buzzed, interrupting her favorite Spotify playlist. The unobtrusive Siri voice told her she had a call from a number that was not one she immediately recognized. When asked if she wanted to take the call, she told Siri she did, then turned the volume up on her wireless earbuds. “Hello?”
“Hi! Amelia? This is Emily. Your neighbor.”
“Oh hi,” Amelia said, trying to recall what Emily looked like. She was easily the most forgettable of the women she’d met these past few weeks and at the party. Melissa she knew well, based on the time they’d spent together as Realtor and client. Janice was the attractively preserved older woman at the end of the cul-de-sac. A sort of matriarch for the group who’d hosted the party. Cassie was the gorgeous young woman with the bright-blue eyes who was pregnant and seemingly not too happy about it. Emily…which one was she?
“So, I was wondering if you’d like to come out to brunch with us.”
“Oh um…” She was preparing to beg off, not willing to change her plans for the next forty-eight or so hours. She’d been walking around feeling like a giant exposed horny nerve ever since she’d let Michael fuck her on the kitchen table earlier that day. She wanted more. A lot more. And she was about to get it.
“I mean, um, next weekend. While the boys are golfing?”
Amelia blinked then realized what she was talking about. The “boys” had invited Michael to golf. And she was going to lunch with the ladies. Part of her bristled at this. Why couldn’t they be in on the golfing? But she hated golf. So why not?
“Sure, that sounds like fun. Where?”
“Oh, at the club. I figured you guys had already joined.”
“No, not yet.” To be honest, she’d avoided it, although she knew they should do it. She’d done her research. And her mother had, too. They’d decided that Forest Hills Golf and Swim Club was the best one to join. And she liked to believe that the fact of her husband’s skin color wouldn’t matter in this enlightened, Midwest college town. But part of her wasn’t certain about that, and she was reluctant to put Michael through it. Perhaps going to a day at golf and lunch would ease their entry a bit. “But we have every intention of it.”
“Any of us can sponsor you. They still require that. It’s so…colonial, don’t you think?”
Amelia hesitated, wondering if Emily would realize the awkwardness of that question. She picked up her pace, nervous and yet somehow pissed off at the same time.
“Well, anyway,” the woman went on, not realizing it, apparently. “Why don’t you ride with me? The guys usually all carpool to their golf days.”
“Sure, sounds good.” She didn’t want to go now. In fact, all of a sudden, if she never saw or spoke to any of her immediate neighbors ever again, she’d not mind it one bit.
She shook her head at this ridiculous thought. One of the reasons she’d chosen this street was for the social opportunities. She was being paranoid. Her neighbors were just…a little enthusiastic and, well, touchy, when it came down to it. The memory of the women surrounding Michael, leaning in, hands on his thighs and arms as he sat in the midst of them like some kind of a sultan among his harem wafted through her brain. Even as she recalled the way she’d been the center of the male attention most of the night. How attractive they all were, those men, from brash contractor Ryan to soft-spoken, exotic-looking Sai, to the two older men, Barrett and Allen. All of them were rich, handsome, fit to the point of model-perfect. And they’d been all over her.
She stopped in her tracks, recalling something else from that night she must have been suppressing as a figment of her imagination, or something her drunken brain had conjured. The large bedroom window on the second floor of the Coopers’ house. The light, the shadows she’d taken for Janice and Allen at first in an embrace. Then the other shadows that joined them. The other people who’d been in that room and…and…
That is crazy, Amelia Elizabeth. Stop it. You’re pent up and horny and are taking care of all of that within hours. Get a damn grip on yourself. These people are inviting you and Michael to a snooty country club that has likely only recently allowed black people to be members. Keep things in perspective.
“Amelia? You still there?”
“Yes, sorry. I’d be happy to join you all. Looking forward to it.”
“Great! Super. We’ll…um…” There was a beat of silence that made Amelia uncomfortable again. “Anyway, if you need any tomatoes, you should stop by this week.”
“Tomatoes,” Amelia said, confused by the shift of topic.
“Yes. Between my garden and Cassie’s, we’re overflowing with them. There’s only so much sauce and salsa I can make. Talk soon!” She hung up before Amelia could say anything else.
OK – this was quite the interesting read for me. There are definitely some twisted secrets on Connelly Court.
Liz Crowe delivers a very intriguing story surrounding a swingers lifestyle and not just any one swinger’s lifestyle, but a community of swingers and the rules they set for all to follow. But with lies, betrayal and ulterior motives, things are never what they seem.
I will not go any further with what happens in this book. It’s a dark, twisted story that definitely keeps you right there in the thick of everything. But the pacing was what hurt this story for me.
The story has a very slow pace at the beginning, which was a bit of struggle for me. The characters aren’t likeable, but that fits the vibe of this story so that felt purposeful. Once the story hits the crescendo, everything moves at a much faster pace – almost too quickly in my opinion.
Overall, the story was entertaining and kept me intrigued, even at it’s slowest parts. And while I felt the ending was a bit rushed, I still enjoyed the overall story itself.
Author Bio:
Liz Crowe is a Kentucky native and graduate of the University of Louisville living in South Carolina. She’s spent her time as a three-continent expat trailing spouse, mom of three, real estate agent, brewery owner and bar manager, and is currently a digital marketing and fundraising consultant, in addition to being an award-winning author.
The Liz Crowe backlist has something for any reader seeking complex storylines with humor and complete casts of characters that will delight and linger in the imagination long after the book is finished.
Her favorite things to do when she’s not scrolling social media for cute animal videos is walk her dogs, cuddle her cats, and watch her favorite sports teams while scrolling social media for cute animal videos.
Absolutely amazing thriller debut from Vi Keeland!!
Most readers are used to getting some romance from Vi but this time she takes outside her usual genre and delivers an edge-of-you-seat thriller that keeps readers engage from start to finish.
I enjoyed how Vi wrote this one – it’s captivating and enthralling and just when you think you know it all and have it all figured out, Vi throws us curve ball and leaves readers with their jaws hanging wide open.
I really hope Vi writes more novels in this genre in the future. She definitely nailed the suspense, mystery and thrilling vibes throughout this whole book.
Definitely a highly recommended read.

Dishonestly Yours is the first book in the Ritchie’s newest series, Webs We Weave.
This story is told in dual POV and is definitely a slow building story. Please keep that in mind as this story is worth that build up.
Dishonestly Yours follows Phoebe, Hailey and Rocky as they try to separate themselves from their con artist families. As I said, it’s told from dual POV’s but also has flashbacks and this allows readers to better understand how these three are intertwined. This story mainly focuses on Phoebe and Rocky, but Hailey is strong secondary character and adds great value to this story.
My only main issue was the depth of relationship between Phoebe and Rocky. Yes, the flashbacks help, but I wanted a deeper level of these two in the now, more vulnerability. I won’t go into details as I do not want to spoil anything, but for me, I wanted more from them both.
Overall, a great start to this series. I cannot wait to see where series goes and what the Ritchie’s bring us next.

Welcome back R.K. Lilley!! I chose to skip her release last year, so it’s been a good 5 years since I have read her. Wings of Dusk is very different from her other books and this just proves she’s able to write in other genres.
I love fantasy reads and this one is different from others that I have read, but not in a bad way. It’s very fast paced and the world building isn’t as detailed and overly descriptive as most fantasy reads, but the way R.K. details everything, you can still easily visualize so much.
Wings of Dusk is told completely from Venefica’s POV, giving readers insight into her world and how everything works. Her guardian is Battle and he has his own rules to follow; they both do really.
R.K. delivers this story at the perfect pace (fast for fantasy) and she lays the groundwork for what is come perfectly. She leaves these little bread crumbs that has you gobbling them up and wanting more.
This story ends on a cliffy that has me desperately wanting the next book immediately. I highly recommend this to anyone, even those who normally don’t read fantasy. I will find it hard for any romance reader not enjoy this one.

“Ani, you’re my best producer. Do this for me and I’ll green-light your movie. The silly one about… What was it about?” “It’s the story of one of New York’s first woman firefighters. Her life and struggles.” It is my dream project, and it certainly isn’t silly. It’s about empowerment and the fight against discrimination in the workplace. Jess’s surgically perfected nose wrinkles slightly. “Could she be fighting aliens?” I growl. It’s an alpha sound I’ve worked on over the years since no one takes a small blonde woman seriously in my business until they catch sight of our three rows of teeth. Not that I’m like that in my normal life. I’m a regular young woman. I try to be nice and kind to everyone around me, and if they cross me, I will bury them and no cop will look in my anime eyes and think me capable of murder. Sometimes the patriarchy works in my favor. Not that I want to give up bodily autonomy and equal pay just so I can murder someone a little more easily. But for now I’ll take what I can get. “Fine.” Jess has her hard negotiator expression on. “What’s the budget?” I can do it for ten million, but she’s sentencing me to six weeks of dealing with women who think they are going to end up being queen. It will be spray tans and claws, and I will hear the words “the right reasons” so many times. “Fifteen.” Her eyes narrow like she knows exactly what I’m doing. I sit and wait. Like she taught me. Don’t show a minute of your emotions, Ani. “Fifteen,” she agrees. “And you’ll be fast-tracked. If you get this done, I might even be persuaded to tell publicity they have a slightly larger budget.” She really wants this. I wish I could talk to my friends, but I know what’s at the end of this conversation. I won’t be able to explain why I’m taking a crappy assignment. Ivy has her own issues and won’t question it. She’ll be all “rah-rah, girl power,” but Harper likes a mystery, and, even more, she loves to point out when things are going wrong. Still, I’d like their advice, but I’m not going to get it. I’m on my own. “I’ll do it.” Jess smiles like she would have gone to twenty. She wouldn’t have, but I give her a frown because it’s always good to let the boss think they’re still in control. “One more thing, dear,” she says, sliding a stack of papers my way. Yep. There’s the very long and binding nondisclosure agreement. My mouth is going to have to stay closed. But my eyes will be wide open.
What Lexi writes, I will read. LOL
My Royal Showmance was absolutely in adorable in a way I had not expected and I love reading this sweeter side of Lexi’s writing.
I am not a fan of reality TV – hell, I rarely watch TV. There’s a reason I read ALOT! But my lack of care for reality TV did not stop me from enjoying this story, if anything, I appreciated the behind-the-scenes even more.
This story is very fast-paced and alot happens. So while things moved quickly, my only “issue” was I wanted to see the more romance building between Ani and Luca. But I still loved their story and how it all played out, I just wanted more because that’s what I love in a romance story.
Overall, this is a great read with that fairy-tale element sprinkled in with the reality TV. Definitely a recommended read!

If love is an addiction, your first love is the first hit.
How many of you remember your first love?
Because falling in love for the first time…I remember that. And that’s the thing about your first love—we all have a love story.
But this isn’t a love story.
This is a life story.
The good.
The bad.
The heartache.
It’s all here.
Love is truly a battlefield…
Love is scary, and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. When you love someone wholeheartedly, you leave yourself open to being destroyed…and that’s what I did, what I still do even though I know better.
But it doesn’t make a difference.
The best kind of love doesn’t make sense. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.
This one-in-a-million story is mine, and if you take anything away from this book, it would be to never be afraid to love.
So, let me introduce myself. You may call me Z.
Buckle up, besties, because this will be a bumpy ride.
“Never rely on a man to make you happy because they come and go, but you have to live with yourself until the day you die. Never forget who you are.”
Love Hard is most beautifully chaotic and messy stories I have read and couldn’t love it more, if I tired.
“Love messy. Love Long. Love spontaneously. Love without regret. But most of all, love hard. Because most things come and go, but love, love stays.”
Monica delivers a very insightful creative work of nonfiction, yet fictionalized memoir. I could honestly feel the emotions of Z through each chapter. I love her for everything she has been through and yet continues to believe in love.
Love Hard is like nothing I have read before and I love this story even more because of that. It is raw, real and authentic. It’s love; it’s life.
“Love hits when you leave expect it…are you ready for the fall?”

Naively, I believed him. Now those three little words feel like a bad omen I can’t escape.
Every move I’ve made since I returned to South Chapel hurts my ex-boyfriend, Greedy. But it’s for his benefit. That’s what I tell myself. Intentionally hurting him is for the best.
It has to be. I said goodbye to the possibility of forever with him the moment my mom and his dad “introduced us” at their engagement dinner.
Three years have passed, but that doesn’t matter to Greedy. He’s hell-bent on making sure I remember it all.
On my darkest nights, the memories win. Since his bedroom is just two doors down, he’s the anchor I seek when it all feels like too much.
But now Greedy’s best friend is back in town, and he and I are “dating” to get his meddling mother off his back. Not only is Levi my new fake boyfriend, but he’s also our new roommate, too.
No wrong moves, Greedy assured me years ago.
What if there are no right moves either?

So Wrong is the first book in Abby’s newest series, Boys of South Chapel. It’s also the first book I have read by this author and she definitely earned herself another reader.
This book starts off in the present but as the story progresses, we are given glimpses of the past that help explain how they end up where they are in the present.
I love how the story plays out as it keeps readers intrigued and turning the pages. There isn’t alot of growth in the characters, even though three years has passed between the past and present and while that doesn’t hurt the story, I expected some maturity from them.
Overall, I am captivated by the story telling and the characters. Abby leaves readers on quite the cliffy, but thankfully we don’t have to wait long for the second book.
Meet Abby
Abby Millsaps is an author and storyteller who’s been obsessed with writing romance since middle school. In eighth grade, she failed to qualify for the Power of the Pen State Championships because all her submissions contained the same theme: young people falling in love. #LookAtHerNow
She’s best known for writing unapologetically angsty romance that causes emotional damage for her readers. Abby prides herself in writing authentic characters while weaving mental health, chronic illness, and neurodiverse representation into the fabric of her stories.
Abby met her husband at a house party the summer before her freshman year of college. He had a secret pizza stashed in the trunk of his car that he was saving for a midnight snack–how was she supposed to resist that level of golden retriever energy and preparedness? When Abby isn’t writing, she’s reading, traveling, and raising her three daughters.
