Before Us is the perfect example of why I love reading Jewel’s books.

I don’t even know where to start but I do know that as a reader, I will not spoil any of the story line because the book needs to be experienced as you read.

Before Us was quite an emotional read for me and I knew it was going to be from the very beginning. And I was completely ok with that. However, it’s Jewel’s writing that puts this book on a whole other level. You experience everything these characters go through; I cried, laughed and just felt so much in between.

Jewel sprinkles some of the best advice about living within these pages – I practically highlighted the book!! I loved the dialogue and the interactions amongst all these characters. I LOVED EVERYTHING!!

I am truly at a loss for words to express how phenomenal this story is. Jewel’s writing is superb and it’s so unlike any other author I’ve read.

Nicola has popped my M/M romance cherry and it was the perfect book to do so.

William’s story is one for the books. I felt his emotions coming off the pages and just wanted to swallow him up in hugs and love.

I won’t give his story away because it’s one that needs to blind. The blurb gives you and idea of what his story is about, but it’s experiencing everything that he feels and goes through that makes this book phenomenal.

I have to say that Nicola creates some of the best characters and makes them so relatable and easy to love.

There is so much growth and self-reflection in this book and it just really seeped into my soul.

I cannot wait for everyone to read this one.

The lovely Ms. Robinson truly knows how to start a series off with a bang!!!

Tempting Enemy was different than I anticipated and I loved it!!

Haven is the youngest amongst her siblings and the only girl. So she’s had enough of her overbearing brothers. She’s learn to be feisty and fight for what she wants. And she has sights set on Hayes.

Hayes does his best to keep Haven away from him. He does everything in his power to keep her safe too. He may not her to get tangled up with him, but he also protects her from others.

I loved everything about Haven and Hayes story. The chemistry is undeniable but that underlying drama that threatens to crush it, is what adds another layer to this story.

Monica – you have outdone yourself with this one. This is going to be one awesome series!!

Knox is in his final year of college and not only does he need to stay at the top of his game with football, this is also his toughest year in college with his class-load. So he chooses to focus less on the player lifestyle, choosing to be celibate in hopes it’ll help him focus on his courses. Knox knows that he has his struggles with schooling and finally comes to realization that he is going to need a tutor so he doesn’t fail.

Joanna Sutton is one of the few tutors that works with students who have learning disabilities and excels at helping them overcome their obstacles. Joanna has recently come off of a long-term, long-distance relationship and has no interest in any sort of relationship right now.

I absolutely adored how Joanna and Knox’s whole relationship came to me. It is a slow-burn but so worth it once they decided to take the leap. The chemistry is off the charts with these two and it never slows down once they’re together.

Monica wrote a very sweet, sugary story that has zero drama in it. There isn’t a lot of the typical college drama and I love that she has these characters stay true to themselves and not doing something out of character just to create unnecessary drama. One thing I wanted more of was the family dynamic on Joanna’s side but it does not take away from the overall story.

A great start to a new series!!

Just when I think I can guess what Aleatha is going to bring us – she does nothing like I expect!!

Ruthless Reign is the start of Aleatha’s newest series and it’s definitely unlike anything I have read before.

Aleatha is known for her twists and suspense in her books, but now we add in secrets and who’s loyal to whom and who’s a traitor amongst them all.

Added amongst that suspense is one of the most passionate and extreme slow-burn romances I’ve ever read and that just adds to appeal and intrigue of this book.

Princess Lucille and Roman Godfrey’s marriage is one that has two very different sides. Roman isn’t who the people think he is and only Lucille knows the real him. When Oliver enters the picture, he adds another layer to this intriguing story and creating a very complicated relationship between him and Lucille.

Ruthless Reign was so unexpected and I loved every bit of this story. I read this book in hours; I could not put it down once I started it. And that ending!!

Definitely pick this one up and see why we all love Aleatha and her phenomenal books.

​Untying the Knot is Meghan Quinn’s newest release and my favorite-to-date.  

Yes, I said.  MY FAVORITE TO DATE!!!  And that is saying ALOT because I really love ALOT of Meghan’s books and she holds one my top ALL-TIME favorite reads.  And that is now replaced with this book.

Untying the Knot puts a whole new spin on second chance romance.  However, this book is extremely close to home, more than I ever anticipated.  And maybe that’s why it’s my favorite but I felt this story deep in my bones.

I don’t ever remember crying, full on tears streaming down my face crying, within the first chapter of a book.  Never happened before and truly did not expect that with Meghan’s book.​ 

Untying the Knot is real, raw and so authentic, readers will find it extremely difficult to not relate to parts of it. I can feel Myla’s hurt through her words, thoughts and actions. (hell typing this review up and thinking back on everything and tears well in my eyes). And Ryot, Lord that man is something else; I felt his sense of loss and utter fear of losing the best thing he caught in life.

“I might matter to him, but I don’t matter the most.”

Even after all these years together, Myla and Ryot still had a lot of self reflecting and growing to do. It was a true joy to watch these two fall in love with one another again and I can personally speak to that feeling so much. Falling in love with your spouse, again and remembering why that person is your person is such a heartfelt and passionate feeling.

This story is one for the ages.  It’s timeless and genuine in every aspect.  I could not put this book down once I started it. I had to know how they handled things, how things progressed and what the final outcome was.

Do yourself a favor and read this book. If you read any books this year, let it be this one.

Cupping my hands gently, I smile and hobble back over to Darcie.
Dropping to my knees before her, I say, “Open your eyes.”
When she does, she meets mine, then looks at my cupped palms. I open them, and her reaction is worth almost toppling over in pain.
“Oh my God,” she cries, steepling her fingertips over her mouth. “I thought they only came out during the summer.”
“Not all of them.”
We both watch as the firefly I caught lights up the space between us. It hovers between us, not appearing to be in any hurry to join its many friends.
“It’s beautiful,” Darcie says, her eyes glued to the firefly, and I know she sees the beauty in something so simple as well.
No matter what we’ve done, no matter what we do, we’re just a couple of misfits trying our best to survive.
I hook my thumb over my shoulder, and as the moon comes out of hiding, so do the thousands of fireflies, lighting up the night sky.
“Rev,” she gushes, coming to a stand and running toward the lake’s edge, her arms spread out wide like she too wishes she could light up the darkness. But little does she know, she lights up mine every single day.
Our little friend flies away, knowing his job here is done.
I join Darcie, standing by her side as we silently peer into the sky littered with fireflies. She reaches down and loops her fingers through mine. The fireflies soon pale compared to the fire burning between us.
As usual, the world fades into the background until it’s just Darcie and me.
“Thank you for bringing me here,” she says in an almost whisper. “It’s my first date.”
“Sorry I bled through half of it.”
She smiles, and the sight takes my breath away.
“Why do they light up like that?”
“Because of a chemical reaction caused by the organic compound, luciferin, in their abdomens,” I reply without thought.
“Luciferin,” she repeats softly. “Sounds kind of diabolical, which is ironic, considering it relates to something so beautiful.”
I can’t help but compare her analogy to herself—Darcie is kind of diabolical, but she is the most beautiful girl in the world.
I’ve always hated the word love. It gets thrown around so easily, losing its meaning. But luciferin, now that is a unique word. And this right now, this feels something like luciferin.

First and foremost, this book has ALOT of triggers. With a that being said, let the games begin…

This book is about us fucked up as one could get. It’s dark, full of gore and macabre weaved into a twisted plot that runs deep.

This book is a lot to digest and is definitely in its own niche. However, if you can handle true dark reads, this book is for you.

Monica and Michelle promised their best and they delivered on that and then some.

Down the rabbit hole we go…indeed.

I devoured this in less than a few hours and wish I would’ve savored this longer!!

If you’ve read none of the books in the Fallen Crest series or Roussou World….you can still read this one!! And join me in the ranks of “I suck for not having read them, but desperately need to now!” because it’s going to happen.

I absolutely loved Zeke & his “this is me, take it over leave it” personality. I love that he doesn’t apologize for who he was (he does apologize for his actions & that’s different) and he doesn’t care if you like who he has become.

Ava, oh sweet Ava. She may be shy & stay hidden but girl is not one to be walked on. She may hide from uncertainty but she also holds her ground.

I want to say so much more but won’t. Just read it – you won’t regret it.
