A new stand alone enemies-to-lovers romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

I was wrong.
The only thing that changed was ending up in his bed.

I hate him at first sight…but I also want him at first hate.

Things I Wanted To Say (But Never Did) by Monica Murphy is now live!
Whit Lancaster burst into my life like a storm. Dark and thunderous, furious and fierce. Cold, heartless and devastatingly beautiful, like the statues in our prep school gardens. The school with his family name on the sign. He can do no wrong here. This is his domain.
He’s a menace on campus. Adored and feared. Hated and respected. His taunting words carve into my skin, shredding me to ribbons. Yet his intense gaze scorches my blood, fills me with a longing I don’t understand.
When I stumble upon him one night alone, I find him broken. Bleeding. My instincts scream to leave and let him suffer, but I can’t. I sneak him into my room. Clean him up. Fall for his lies. Let him possess every single part of me until I’m the one left a gasping, broken mess.
When he leaves me alone in the dead of night, he takes my journal with him.
Now he knows all my secrets. My hate. My truth. And he promises to use my words against me. I’ll be ruined if my darkest secret gets out.
That’s when I strike a bargain with the devil.
I’ll let Whit Lancaster ruin me behind closed doors instead.

Who knew that Monica Murphy could write a book that would leave me shocked. LOL
Monica Murphy’s newest standalone, Things I Wanted to Say (But Never Did), is a YA bully romance and she knocked this one out!!!
I have read plenty of books my Monica and know that she can be sweet and endearing but also write some heavy subjects. But she’s once again shocked me (I truly should not be surprised any more) that she can also write and deliver dark characters with dark undertones.
I think what threw me the loop was that I have been reading her college and YA stories for quite a bit now and to read something that is a 180 of those plot lines and characters, it’s almost as though I am reading something by a new author. But I am not!!
Anyway – I digress. This book and these characters! WOW!!
Whit is a dick. He is and he knows it too. I hated him for the majority of this book and loved it when Summer would keep him check unintentionally. In the end, I absolutely loved him but he’s a dick. LOL
Summer is Whit’s equal in so many different ways. Yes, I wrote that correctly. She’s his equal in opposite ways and I love it. She does annoy me at times with her back and forth. I wanted her to not contradict herself so much.
Overall, I thoroughly loved this book. I devoured it quickly. My only reason for not rating this higher was the length. I felt that it was drug out too long and there too many instances that felt repetitive without any development in the plot or characters. Other than that, this book was amazing and hope to see other characters get their books in the future.

Carrie Aarons has revealed the cover for Then You Saw Me!
Releasing August 12, 2021
You know what’s guaranteed to send your heart into your throat? Opening the front door of your off-campus house to find the boy you had a crush on all through high school telling you he’s the new subletter.
Of course, he barely knew I existed back then, and still doesn’t even though we attend the same university. But in a house of six college kids, it should be easy to remain invisible while carrying a torch for him. After all, I’m skilled at being overlooked and playing second fiddle.
Except Austin Van Hewitt, my hometown’s golden boy, doesn’t get the memo. After we throw our first party of the year, I’m on his radar and somehow my lips miraculously end up on his. The budding romance is one I’ve always dreamt about. As he shows more and more interest, I push aside the plaguing insecurity of never being good enough.
But then a letter shows up in our mailbox. A time capsule I wrote to myself when I was fifteen. You know, the kind where a teacher sends it to you years later? Guess who opens it by mistake and reads all about how I plan on marrying him and having his babies one day? Did I mention I signed it using his last name?
Mortifying would be an understatement. After he starts pulling away, I’m once again the girl in the background hoping that someone will understand me enough to pay me all of their attention.
The old me, the one conditioned to settle for what she’s given, would back down. This time, though, if I want everything I almost held in my hands, I’ll have to speak up. I’ll have to admit exactly how I feel, fight for the love that was blossoming. And I’m not sure what’s scarier; voicing my inner thoughts or facing his ultimate rejection.
Author of romance novels such as Fool Me Twice and Love at First Fight, Carrie Aarons writes books that are just as swoon-worthy as they are sarcastic. A former journalist, she prefers the love stories of her imagination, and the athleisure dress code, much better.
When she isn’t writing, Carrie is busy binging reality TV, having a love/hate relationship with cardio, and trying not to burn dinner. She’s a Jersey girl living in Texas with her husband, daughter, son, and Great Dane/Lab rescue.
From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel.
The one that got away. Every girl has one, right?
Mine was a charming, British aristocrat who turned my world upside down one summer.
From the moment I first spotted Leo in the distance through my binoculars, I’d been captivated. I certainly never expected to find a man showering outside of the property across the bay in his birthday suit.
Then I noticed his housemate staring back at me with binoculars of his own—watching me watching Leo.
That made for an interesting conversation starter when I inevitably ran into them.
Turned out, the handsome Brits were only renting that house for the summer in my seaside town.
Leo and I formed an instant connection, even though we were technically opposites by all appearances. I taught him how to dig for clams, and he taught me that not all wealthy and powerful guys are pretentious.
Despite knowing he was totally wrong for me, I couldn’t seem to stay away.
It was a wild and crazy few months. And before I knew it, we’d fallen in love.
We both had one wish: more time together.
But Leo had obligations back home. He lived a life I’d never fit into. And I was going to law school. So, we decided to end it and never look back.
A part of me always felt like I’d let my soulmate walk away.
I believed our story was over.
Until five years later when he sent me a letter that shook me to my core.
I’d thought my world was turned upside down that first summer?

The Brazen is Willa’s newest installment in her Calamity Montana series. You truly do not need to read any of the previous books in this series to read this one.
If you have read the other books, Kerrigan has lived in Calamity her whole life. And now she is taking her love for interior decorating and construction and building Calamity up building by building.
Willa gives readers everything you need to know about this book. This is definitely an enemies to lovers romance and it’s riddled with lots of heat and passion.
Kerrigan is a very strong woman and never backs down from anyone. She knows what she wants and goes after it. I love her determination and confidence.
Pierce has taken over his grandfather’s business and just wants to wipe it all clean. But Kerrigan is more than what he is expecting. While Pierce too does not back down from anyone, he is finding it quite difficult to walk way from Kerrigan.
While some of the nuances of this story might sound too cliché, it’s Willa’s writing and her characters that set this story apart.
Willa kept me on my toes and had me very much engrossed in this story from start to finish. I am quite intrigued to see what happens in the next book….
Meet Willa
Willa Nash is USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry’s alter ego, writing contemporary romance stories for Kindle Unlimited. Lover of Swedish Fish, hater of laundry, she lives in Washington State with her husband and two sons. She was born and raised in Montana and has a passion for writing books in the state she calls home.
There are some people in life who know exactly how to push your buttons. For me, it’s Rye Peterson. We can’t spend more than ten minutes together before we’re at each other’s throats, which makes working together that much harder. Rye is the bassist for Kill John, the biggest rock band in the world, and I am his publicist. It doesn’t help that the man is gorgeous, funny, talented, and…never takes anything seriously. Avoidance is key.
But everything changes when he overhears something he shouldn’t: a confession made in a moment of weakness. Now the man I’ve tried so hard to ignore is offering me the greatest temptation of all—him.
Rye
Brenna James is the one. The one I can’t have. The one I can’t get out of my mind. Believe me, I’ve tried; the woman loathes me. I managed well enough—until I heard her say she’s as lonely as I am. That she needed to be touched, held, satisfied. And I could no longer deny the truth: I wanted to be the one to give her what she craved.
I convinced her that it would just be sex, mutual satisfaction with nothing deeper. But the moment I have her, she becomes my world. I’ve never given her a good reason to trust me before. Now, I’ve got to show Brenna that we’re so much better together than we ever were apart.

Exposed is the fourth book in Kristen’s VIP series. This series is one of my favorites for Rockstar romances and I have been oh-so-patiently waiting for Exposed to release. And it was damn well worth the wait.
Exposed is Brenna and Rye’s book. While you don’t need to read any of the previous books to read this one, I would still highly encourage you to read them in order.
Brenna and Rye are like water and oil. They do not get along; they are always ripping into one another for one thing or another.
One night, Rye overhears Brenna’s situation and wants to help her out. Not only does the offer for help throw Brenna off-kilter, but it’s what he wants to do that truly knocks her down.
Callihan wrote this story beautifully. I loved how things just seem to progress so naturally and real. I loved the honesty from both characters; how raw and real they were with one another and themselves. I can’t say it enough – this story progress so naturally and real, I forgot I was reading a book.
Callihan’s words just floated off the pages. Her writing is like a balm to my soul. As soon as I started reading this book, everything from the previous books came flooding back and it was as though I just read those (don’t need to read them but it helps give you an overall feel for the dynamics of secondary characters).
Exposed is another reason why this series rocks. I really hope we get one more book and it is Whip’s!!!

He’s a player. I’m a virgin. Yet, I can’t seem to stop myself.
The Rulebreaker by Claire Contreras is now live!
Maverick Cruz and I started off as pen pals and became besties when we went to the same sports camp at age twelve.
He rooted for me at my soccer games. I cheered for him at his hockey tournaments.
Through heartbreaks, new relationships, and failed friendships, we knew we could always count on each other.
That’s why no one is more surprised–or panicked– than I am when I start to develop different feelings for him. But Instead of telling him the truth, I agree to help him find a girlfriend.
Someone who is not me.
Someone who is so opposite of me that I have to make a list for the charade. The problem is, he wants to practice his dating skills with me. The corny pickup lines, the hand-holding, the door opening, the staring.
Before this, I thought sharing a house with him was an excellent idea. Who wouldn’t want to room with their best friend? Now, the close proximity is killing me. What’s worse is that I can’t stop looking at him like he’s a Greek god, and he can’t stop seeing me as his virginal little sister. Still, I push it aside, until one night, when he’s lying beside me in bed and I’m the one who forgets the rules and crosses the line between friends and something more.
It’s a horrible idea. He’s a player. I’m a virgin. Yet, I can’t seem to stop myself.
New item on my list: DO NOT FALL FOR YOUR BEST FRIEND.

The Rulebreaker is Claire’s next sports romance that focuses on Maverick and Rocky. I love Claire’s ability to blend the sports aspects beautifully with the romance and deliver an entertaining read. Mav & Rocky are best friends and are both very dedicated to their sports. They’ve been extremely supportive of each other and always there for another with everything else. Now that they’re older and in college, things are starting to blur, but neither wants to ruin their friendship. I really enjoyed how this story played out. Mav & Rocky are both mature college students and Claire stays true to that. She doesn’t sacrifice characteristic changes to fit a particular narrative to develop the story. The whole plot plays out naturally and real. I really enjoy Claire’s writing style. I can sense she pulls alot from her own experience and that just adds another layer to the stories. It also makes them more authentic and real. The Rulebreaker is another great sports romance from Claire that I’d highly recommend.

Two strangers. Two words. One unforgettable summer…
When you’re an artist, everything has to be perfect.
Or so I thought, until my professor told me my perfection was boring and unoriginal. Studying abroad in Florence has taught me one thing: I know nothing when it comes to what makes art truly beautiful.
So, with my professor’s words in my ear, I step outside one evening and decide to say yes to any and everything I’m faced with until the sun rises.
Of course, I didn’t expect him to show up.
Liam Benson, the broody, sexy, tortured artist from my class who I can’t stand. He’s got a sour outlook on the world and an ego so big no one could properly stroke it to his satisfaction.
When he finds out what I’m doing, he hijacks my “yes” night. And after just twelve hours with him, I’m desperate for more.
But Liam is running from more than I could ever understand, and with his heart guarded and mind made up about life, I don’t stand a chance.
I convince myself that we can keep it casual. But walking away from him at the end of the summer is as impossible as painting outside the lines.
I used to think when you’re an artist, everything has to be perfect.
Turns out everything has to be painful, and messy, and fleeting.
If only I’d known that before I fell under Liam Benson’s spell.

Say Yes is Kandi’s newest standalone romance. However, what makes this story standout from her others is that this one is set in the 90s era. I love that she wrote a story that readers today can still relate to and yet set in a time that many of us lived through. It was very nostalgic.
Kandi is truly known for her angsty stories. However, Say Yes, shows a more softer, romantic side of Kandi. I really enjoyed experiencing Italy during the summer months of 1996 through the eyes of Harley and Liam. These two are in Italy for a three month art course but for very different reasons.
There was so much about this book that I truly loved. It was very reminiscent of the Atlanta 1996 Olympics, the 90’s nostalgia and watching two budding people appreciate Italy and find themselves. Even though Harley and Liam are taking the same art course, but for different reasons, it’s how these two end up interacting with one another, that adds another layer to this story.
They always say people come into our lives for different reasons and this story is all about that. This story will take you on a journey in so many different things. It is about healing, living life in the moment, and overcoming fears. Liam and Harley were exactly what each other needed for one another in order to overcome their own obstacles in life. I loved their story so much.
Say Yes is a remarkable romance story that readers will thoroughly enjoy and love experiencing the 90s all over again.
Meet Kandi
Kandi Steiner is a bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.
An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.
When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys live music, traveling, anything heavy in carbs, beach days, movie marathons, craft beer and sweet wine — not necessarily in that order.
As the most hated player in baseball, I had two options: either clean up my image or pack my bags. Being traded wasn’t an option which only meant one thing, I had to become compliant.
That’s how I found myself sharing a small bistro table with Kate Chapman, the Chicago Bobbies newest PR Manager. Devastatingly beautiful, vastly intelligent, and incredibly cunning, she knows exactly how to handle my grumpy demeanor.
It was supposed to be simple. Book some PR events, show up, smile for the camera, and be done. But one massive mistake on my end sends me into the trenches with Kate, forcing me to open up to her.
Innocent glances turn into cordial encounters.
Secret touches turn into tempting invitations.
And dangerous nights alone turn into consuming desperation.
I’ve never wanted a woman as much as I want her. And I know she wants me, but there’s a no fraternizing with the players rule. Neither of us can afford to lose our jobs, but we also can’t seem to keep our hands off each other either.
I slip on my clothes, going for a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved Henley. I push the sleeves up, still heated from the shower. I leave my hat in my locker, opting for a quick swab of styling pomade through my hair. I couldn’t care less what I look like, but Coach always likes us to be somewhat presentable after a game in case we run into any press.
Hungry and ready for my bed, I head out of the locker room and am making my way toward the players’ exit when a throat clears behind me. I glance over my shoulder to find Kate Chapman standing against the wall, her purse draped over her shoulder and a beautiful smile gracing her delicately freckled face.
She quickly gives me a once-over and says, “It was the socks.”
I can’t help it, I let out a low chuckle while slowly shaking my head and turning toward her. Hands in my pockets, I say, “It wasn’t the socks.”
Her mouth drops open in disbelief as she approaches me. “It was so the socks.” She points her finger at me.
“Don’t even deny it.”
“It was all my practice.”
“Yeah, practice with me. Just admit it, Rockwell, you had fun last night, the socks were a good luck charm, and you played your ass off tonight.”
I don’t believe in superstitions, which is unheard of when it comes to a baseball player, but I’ve never geared my play around being a habitual player, either. Instead, I do what feels right. So, believing in socks having a special power and helping me gather some hits tonight—nah, not real. But I will say this—having my socks up reminded me why I was behind that plate. It reminded me of being small again and taking joy in the little things.
Was it the socks? Maybe.
Was it the thought of the girl standing in front of me?
Maybe a little more.
“It wasn’t the socks.”
Her head falls back as she groans. “You’re so stubborn.” She makes eye contact with me again. “Do you realize that?”
“Yeah.” I rock on my heels, trying not to stare at her too much.
Just picture me pitching to you.
When I said that would be too distracting, I meant it. With her softly curled hair and her gorgeous smile that doesn’t seem to ever falter—unless I’m a total dick and walk out on her—she’s caught my eye.
She’s starting to imprint herself on my brain.
She’s starting to make me feel shit I shouldn’t be feeling.
“Well, I’m—”
“What are you doing right now?” I ask out of the blue, surprising myself, and her.
“Uh, I was going to give you a hard time and then go home?” she says with a hint of question at the end.
I nod at her. “Hungry?”
She eyes me suspiciously. “Starving.”
“Want to get some food?”
She chews on her bottom lip, thinking about her answer, and I know it’s not in a joking around way, but more so she’s afraid. Afraid of me, possibly. Afraid for her job, most likely.
So, I add, “You know, to discuss business.”
It’s against team policy to fraternize with the players. I know that, she knows that, but, for the life of me, after seeing that infectious joy on her face, I had to ask her. I had to try to spend more time with her.
“Well, if it’s business . . .” She smiles brightly and then nods behind her. “Follow me.”
