Hockey with benefits. That was what Mara proposed, and I was down. She said no feelings and she meant it. Just benefits. No strings attached. Nothing else. Not even friendship. College was her escape, including us. I didn’t have time for a girlfriend. I had classes, the team, my family, and the game. It was all working too… Until somewhere down the line, things got messy. Until somehow we were dealing with threats, secrets, rivals, and so much more. Until I began to want her in ways that weren’t part of the deal. Our agreement didn’t just get checked into the wall, it got obliterated.

Tijan is a New York Times Bestselling author that writes suspenseful and unpredictable novels. Her characters are strong, intense, and gut-wrenchingly real with a little bit of sass on the side. Tijan began writing after college and once she started, she was hooked. She’s written multi-bestsellers including the Fallen Crest series, Ryan’s Bed, Enemies and others.
She is currently writing many new books and series with an English Cocker she adores.
Hockey with Benefits is Tijan’s newest standalone and she nails this college sports.
Cruz and Mara have a no-friends with benefits agreement that works for the both of them. It’s just as unique as they are; these two are very complex characters in their own right.
I enjoyed getting to know them both as individuals and together as their agreement became more convoluted as the school semester moved along. These two definitely were hot between the sheets but as they let their walls crumble, they could see there was possibly more – but did either really want more?
These two plus their college roommates, friends and teammates rounded out this book so well. I enjoyed all the banter between everyone and could easily see each scene play out before me. While certain scenes were more emotional and heavier to go through, I found the lighter ones blended in perfectly to give this book a very well-rounded story.
Tijan delivers a very heavy plot that I will say could be triggering for some people. I loved that she kept it all real and authentic; no sugar coating from either side – just pure raw emotion. But at the same time, she gave us characters that we can easily relate to and would want as friends.
North Boston University’s star running back, notorious bachelor, and number one on my people I would murder if I could get away with it list.
And now?
He’s my new roommate.
I used to think I loved him.
But that was before I hated him.
He doesn’t remember who I am, or how he made my life miserable for years. And before I unknowingly moved across the street from him, I couldn’t have cared less. I was living my life despite him and what happened that summer, chasing my dream of becoming a tattoo artist.
“The Pit,” as the university so gracefully nicknamed the house he lives in with three other football players, has served as nothing more than a pain in my ass and a constant reminder of the boy who broke my heart. Watching him parade his one-night-stands in and out of it never helped, either.
But with rent this cheap and so close to the tattoo shop, I’ve learned to ignore him — no matter how he’s tried to get under my skin.
At least, until this summer. Because when a water and mold disaster leaves me with no choice but to vacate my house, I have nowhere to go. And Leo Hernandez offers me a deal I can’t refuse.
Live at The Pit with him and the guys, free of charge, until my landlord fixes this mess.
Ignoring him was easy when I lived across the street, but in the same house, with him shirtless half the time and watching me with his cocky grin and searing gaze? It’s impossible.
Still, I have to try. I have to push him away, even when he makes it infuriatingly difficult to do so.
He’s broken my heart once.
I won’t let him do it again.

Hail Mary is the final book in the Kandi Steiner’s Red Zone Rivals series and she truly delivers a Hail Mary – pun absolutely intended.
Kandi has nailed the college sports romance with this series. I cannot say enough amazing things about each book. And they’re all so different and yet so damn consuming.
Mary and Leo’s story was one my favorite ones to read. Mary and Leo end up being roommates, much to Mary’s dismay. Mary has always been apprehensive about football players, but she been quite mean and rude towards Leo is particular. He has no clue why but he does everything he can to make suer she’s comfortable during her temporary stay.
Kandi has this knack for writing characters that are uniquely strong and know how to hold their own. I loved Mary so much. And Leo – that man surprised me!! Their story was superb!!
I have loved every single one of these books int this series. First series that I have ever given 5 stars to every book.
Truly, a MUST READ!!!

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson comes anenemies to lovers, forbidden standalone romance.
Look but don’t touch…
She showed up at my bar with a fake ID, I kicked her out. On her 18th birthday, the following week, she showed up again. Except this time, she was demanding a job. Willing to do whatever it took to get it.
Against my better judgment, she got her way, but I’m not going to make it easy on her. Neither are the guys at the bar.
I have two choices: Pretend she’s mine to protect her. Or deal with the consequences when her five older, overprotective brothers find out what their little sister is up to.
Either way…
It’s going to be hell on me.
Because the enemy is my temptation and like a sinner, I just can’t stay away.
The lovely Ms. Robinson truly knows how to start a series off with a bang!!!
Tempting Enemy was different than I anticipated and I loved it!!
Haven is the youngest amongst her siblings and the only girl. So she’s had enough of her overbearing brothers. She’s learn to be feisty and fight for what she wants. And she has sights set on Hayes.
Hayes does his best to keep Haven away from him. He does everything in his power to keep her safe too. He may not her to get tangled up with him, but he also protects her from others.
I loved everything about Haven and Hayes story. The chemistry is undeniable but that underlying drama that threatens to crush it, is what adds another layer to this story.
Monica – you have outdone yourself with this one. This is going to be one awesome series!!

There was a sadness in her clear, gray eyes that I could see she tried to hide. A fight with her inner demons she didn’t want to show anyone…
Camden Collins Life was going well for me. I was on the right track: captain of the soccer team, grades were passing, and I had the respect of my team. Girls threw themselves at me. It was every twenty-year-old’s dream. Then I saw her… One look at her, and it all changed. Something about her drew me in. A sense of protectiveness to guard this small, sad girl. In her eyes, I could see the fight she had within herself…and I wanted to be there for her. To protect her and be someone to lean on while she fought whatever it was. Nothing else seemed to matter but the dark-haired, beautiful girl I couldn’t stay away from.
Blaire Wentworth I wasn’t the same girl I was four years ago. My life was stolen from me one night and I’d never have the chance to get old me back. Now I was just existing, not living. I went through the motions of my everyday routine, staying quiet and keeping to myself. Trusting and letting people in was a constant struggle. Until he showed up… I’d never seen someone like him before. Not once had I described a guy as beautiful, but that’s what he was. He struck something in me, and I didn’t know how to handle that. I was chasing nightmares no one knew about. Ones I kept to myself for a reason. Could I let this new person into my life that I had kept closed off from many for far too long? What if I let my guard down and he ended up destroying me? And that became my greatest fear…
I waited a few days after I finished this one to write my review. I really wasn’t sure how I felt about it and wanted to give this book justice.
The Act of Trusting is a college romance. Camden and Blaire have a very awkward, not-so-cute meet-cute and things just go from there.
The blurb gives you the perfect background to know what you are walking into. Camden and Blaire are complete opposites on the college campus – she likes to remain unseen and he’s the center of attention.
I enjoyed the time frame that this story played out. It wasn’t too fast and it wasn’t too slow; things play out naturally and are fairly realistic. I say fairly because there are a few situations that just felt out of sorts.
I enjoyed Camden and his ability to see past the surface along with his innate need to protect Blaires.
Blaire – girl has been through a lot. She’s strong in so many different ways. However, there is one scene that irks me and I feel that it wasn’t given the proper attention and therefore, showed Blaire as weak.
Overall, it’s not a bad read. It’s right down the middle for me. As much as I enjoyed the characters, there wasn’t anything endearing that made either of them standout from others. Again, not a bad thing, just right down the middle enjoyable.

Lexi Bissen is a new adult/young adult romance author who aspires to write in all genres, including paranormal–which started her obsession with words and fictional characters she cares about more than real people. She’s also a coffee snob, reader, far too sarcastic, and dog rescue advocate.

Echo Adler hates Reign Davidson. He’s the reason the love of her life left her all alone and broken hearted two years ago.

It should be easy to not dream about his dark and mean eyes, or his cruel but sexy smirks. It should be easy to not think about the guy who ruined her happily ever after.
Only it’s not.
Sometimes his intense stares make her heart race, and those smirks of his make her breathless.
But it needs to stop.
Because she has a mission: to get back together with her ex-boyfriend. And Echo will be damned if she keeps dreaming about Reign.

Fresh out of a breakup, I don’t really trust him, and why should I? Knox is the ultimate player. When I become his English tutor, I tell myself we need to keep things between us strictly business. Yet Knox is impossible to resist. Next thing I know, we’re getting hot and heavy in the library—and that was never part of the plan. When Knox admits he can’t stop thinking about me, I have a realization.
I can’t stop thinking about him either.
Instead of keeping my distance, I pull him in closer. Until somehow, we’re spending all of our time together and I find myself falling for Knox. Hard.
Will this actually work between us? Or am I getting played?

Playing Hard to Get is the first book in Monica’s next series, The Players.
This is a spin-off from her other series but you need no prior knowledge to start this series. Knox Maguire is the so of Owen (Four Years Later) and seems to be following in his dad’s footsteps.
Knox is in his final year of college and not only does he need to stay at the top of his game with football, this is also his toughest year in college with his class-load. So he chooses to focus less on the player lifestyle, choosing to be celibate in hopes it’ll help him focus on his courses. Knox knows that he has his struggles with schooling and finally comes to realization that he is going to need a tutor so he doesn’t fail.
Joanna Sutton is one of the few tutors that works with students who have learning disabilities and excels at helping them overcome their obstacles. Joanna has recently come off of a long-term, long-distance relationship and has no interest in any sort of relationship right now.
I absolutely adored how Joanna and Knox’s whole relationship came to me. It is a slow-burn but so worth it once they decided to take the leap. The chemistry is off the charts with these two and it never slows down once they’re together.
Monica wrote a very sweet, sugary story that has zero drama in it. There isn’t a lot of the typical college drama and I love that she has these characters stay true to themselves and not doing something out of character just to create unnecessary drama. One thing I wanted more of was the family dynamic on Joanna’s side but it does not take away from the overall story.
A great start to a new series!!

Monica Murphy is a New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling romance author. Her books have been translated in almost a dozen languages and have sold over two million copies worldwide. Both a traditionally published and independently published author, she writes young adult, new adult and contemporary romance. She’s also known as USA Today bestselling author Karen Erickson.
A native Californian, she lives on fourteen acres in the middle of nowhere with her husband, two kids, one dog, and four cats. When she’s not writing, she’s an assistant coach for her daughter’s high school cheer team, which is a two season sport. Meaning, she’s at practice with a bunch of teenage girls all the time. Or she’s at a football game. Or a basketball game. Maybe someday, she’ll even write about this experience.
That is until I realize I 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵’𝘷𝘦actually gone too far this time.
She’s there. I’m there. The scene of the crime.
It’s dark. The police show up.
We have no choice. We run. Down High Street, into Quinn’s bake shop, and I pull her through the entrance to the old speakeasy that everyone forgot was here decades ago.
The door locks, the cops circle the building, never knowing we’re right here, and I’m hidden in plain sight, indefinitely, with someone who’s awful.
𝘔𝘦𝘢𝘯. 𝘙𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩. 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘺.
A thief. A delinquent.
Until one night, lost in all of these rooms together, I don’t see any of those things anymore.
She’s smart. Daring. Soft.
Hot…
Everything’s changing. It’s this place. It does something to people.
We have a silly urban legend in Shelburne Falls about mirrors. They’re a gateway. Don’t lean back into them.
But we came through front first.
I don’t care what the county records say. This was never a speakeasy.
Falls Boys is the start of Penelope’s newest series (an apparent spin-off from another series) and it starts to this series off with a bang.
First and foremost, I have not read the series that this is a spin-off from and I can honestly say it didn’t hinder my understanding, enjoyment and love for this book.
I honestly don’t know where to start this and want my review to do this book justice.
Hawke isn’t the stereotypical 18yr guy – he’s got his life together and has a plan for this future. He’s also never had to struggle for anything.
Aro’s life is a complete 180 of Hawke’s. She’s pretty much done whatever to survive in the foster care system.
By happenstance, Hawke and Aro find themselves in a very complicated spot. And this where these two find themselves seeing more of one another than just the surface level.
Hawke is quite intelligent and his protectiveness really comes out when it comes to Aro. His thoughts on why he’s still a virgin and his thoughts on Aro – just makes readers love him more and more.
Aro is quite the complex yet fierce character. I’m not sure what I loved more about her- her ability to never stop wanting to overcome everything she is faced with. Her devotion to her siblings and wanting to protect them at any costs just speak to who she is.
I couldn’t read this book fast enough. As much as I wanted to know how things transpired, I also didn’t want it to end. I cannot wait to see what Penelope brings us next in this series.

ARO
We sit in silence, me forcing my eyes closed when I really just want to watch the door of the garage. He taps away on his phone before turning on the music.
But after a few, he’s antsy. “This doesn’t feel right,” he murmurs.
“It’s only been three minutes.”
“We shouldn’t have sent her in there,” he tells me. “Another fucking mistake. All I’m doing is making mistakes.”
I open my eyes, staring ahead at the garage down the street. “I’m going to remind you one last time before I beat it into you,” I grit out and then look at him. “No one needs you. Reaction is still action, and you broke the law too. Don’t put this all on me. I’ll use you like you’re using me, but make no mistake, I’d get it done without you.”
“You’d be in jail already or dead if I didn’t show up last night,” he says, looking down at me.
I just snicker. “This isn’t my first adventure, Pirate. I got along before you, and I’d still be kicking the shit out of your friends right now if you hadn’t come along and stuck your goddamn nose into everyone else’s business, like I’m quite sure you have a habit of doing because you’re a control freak who needs to insert himself to feel superior.”
He just laughs, shaking his head. “This conversation is tedious.”
I tip my head back, staring up through the sunroof as I mock back. “This conversation is tedious.”
“Stop acting like a child,” he growls. “And I’m not a control freak.”
I turn my head, gazing over at him. “You watch everyone in town. Like God.”
He can’t argue that, can he?
“Do you get hard when you do it?” I ask.
He goes still.
“Knowing where everyone is at any moment?” I go on. “Who’s skipping classes? Which spouses are cheating? Who stopped off at a liquor store, three sheets to the wind, before climbing behind the wheel of a car? Having the power to ruin a life whenever you want?”
He’s clearly smart if he knows how to gain access to that surveillance, but it’s still not clear what he’s doing with it. Or with that place. I searched the rooms. There’s only one bedroom with clothes, personal items, and a bed that looks like it’s been slept in. He’s not sharing the hideout. He stays there alone.
“I wouldn’t blame you,” I admit. “It would feel good to have some power like that. But don’t worry. I know it doesn’t turn you on.” I lay my head back again and close my eyes. “That’s not why you do it.”
It takes him a few moments, but eventually he speaks. “Why do I do it?” His voice is soft, like it was last night when he patched me up.
I smile, not sure I’m ready to play that card yet. Or that he’s ready to hear it.
When I don’t answer, he exhales hard and then I hear him open his door. “She hasn’t texted,” he says. “She’s supposed to text every five minutes.”
I open my eyes, immediately spotting something ahead.
“I’m going in there.” He starts to climb out of the car.
I grab his arm. “Wait.”
He looks back at me, but I’m looking out the front windshield. “There she is,” I tell him, sitting up.
She taps away on her phone, looking at ease like I told her to, and then she passes Hawke and climbs into the backseat.
“What’s the matter?” I ask her.
“Are you okay?” Hawke slams the door and turns in his seat, looking back at her.
She just nods, pulling on her seatbelt. “Yeah. It’s done.”
He and I exchange a look.
“Already?” I blurt out. “I told you to take your time. To relax. To blend in.”
“Are you sure no one saw you?” he questions.
She just laughs under her breath. “Most people don’t.”
We both stare at her, but I glance behind me to make sure no one’s following her. Hawke turns and loads the camera onto his laptop.
“Don’t worry,” she tells me, relaxed. “We’re good.”
But I’m still on the fence, looking behind me once again for any sign that she was followed. Just walking in and out like that is suspicious.
But then Hawke just laughs. “Well, shit.”
I follow his gaze, seeing the workroom appear on his screen, the camera positioned just like we told her. Two guys play pool, but the flood of activity that usually happens at night has quieted. It’s a pretty clear picture. I look up at Hawke. Where else does he have his own hidden cameras posted? I would post them everywhere. This is kind of fun.
Tommy clears her throat. “You’re welcome,” she sing-songs.
I smile, and Hawke flashes her a warm look in the rearview mirror. “Thanks, Dietrich.”
If that was this easy, we might use her again. One camera might not be enough.
“So, what do I get?” she chirps, doing an excited little bounce in her seat.
Hawke meets her eyes again, like he hadn’t expected her to demand anything other than the pleasure of hanging out with him today.
She looks at me. “I mean, I should get paid, right?”
“Yep.” I cast a look at Hawke.
Like the Joker said, if you’re good at something, never do it for free.
She grins, gazing at Hawke again. “I want to go to the Loop.”

I thought being the only girl on a college football team would be my biggest problem… until I find out my brother’s best friend is my new roommate.
Fair Catch by Kandi Steiner is now live!
As if things aren’t already tough enough as the only girl on a college football team, Coach had to go and assign Zeke Collins as my roommate.
A cocky kick returner and my brother’s best friend who should have been ripped of that title years ago, he’s as infuriating as he is undeniably sexy.
I hate him, and for good reason — reason I won’t ever let him forget.
He thinks because we grew up together that it’s his role to protect me, but all he does is get in my way, make me look weak, and piss me off more.
I tell him I can handle myself, and I’m hell-bent on getting that point across to him and the rest of the nation watching the only girl in collegiate football.
The pressure doesn’t get to me. The scrutiny? I’m ready for.
But sharing very thin walls with Zeke Collins? I wasn’t prepared for that.
And the more we’re forced together, the harder it is to distinguish that pencil-thin line between hating him… and wanting him.

OMG!!! I savored this book for as long as I could possibly.
Kandi truly knows how to deliver the angst in her stories. I could not get enough of it!!
Fair Catch is an amazing sports romance with the right amount of angst and steam.
I don’t know how Kandi does it, but I fall in love with every single one of characters.
I could feel the tension and angst spill from these pages. Riley and Zeke had me fanning myself, ALOT!
Riley and Zeke grew up together; Zeke was Riley’s brother’s best friend. And no, this is not what you think. Riley held some anger towards Zeke after an incident that changed their lives. However, you could always sense an underlying, unspoken bond between them.
I absolutely love how this story played out. It was completely natural and things happened at the right times. Nothing was over the top, no outlandish dramatics and the flow was superb!
Fair Catch is a phenomenal sports romance. It has the perfect blend of sports, angst, drama and whole lotta steam!! I devoured yet savored this story.

We were the ultimate example of that couple who can’t live with each other, but can’t seem to function without each other.
The minute I met Callum Strass at fifteen, I was a goner. We were the golden couple of our high school. The king and queen of prom, the sweethearts voted most likely to get married and have babies, and the absolute idiots who decided to attend the same college.
Because that’s when it all fell apart. The naïve, puppy love versions of ourselves couldn’t see the obvious cracks we’d had back in our hometown. But they sure revealed themselves when we started living in an off-campus house together with four of our other friends.
Within a semester, blow-out fights, jealousy, every-other-week breakups, and my abandonment issues had him bowing out. Not just on me, but on the house, too. Until our senior year, when his parents refuse to keep paying rent on two places.
So he moves back in, and I’m forced to live with my ex. The one who has ruined all other men for me. The one I still cry myself to sleep at night thinking about. The one who confesses, during a run-in in a dark hallway, that he hates how much he still loves me.
And when he starts dating again, he might as well plunge a knife straight through my heart. Despite our breakup, I’m on the verge of losing him for real this time, and possibly forever. The only option is to seek help for my deep-seated trauma, the thing that Callum always encouraged me to see someone about. The thing that eventually pushed him away.
Put two of the most driven, headstrong, and passionate people in any relationship and it’s bound to combust. We’ve always had that twin flame kind of love.
So, together we might burn. But we also might heal.
Author of romance novels such as Fool Me Twice and Love at First Fight, Carrie Aarons writes books that are just as swoon-worthy as they are sarcastic. A former journalist, she prefers the love stories of her imagination, and the athleisure dress code, much better.
When she isn’t writing, Carrie is busy binging reality TV, having a love/hate relationship with cardio, and trying not to burn dinner. She lives in the suburbs of New Jersey with her husband, two children and ninety-pound rescue pup.
You Keep Breaking Us is Carrie Aarons’ newest standalone college romance. It does feature some secondary characters from some other books, but you can easily read each one separately.
” ‘You are twin flames. Which means your relationship will be both healing and extremely challenging.’ “
We met Bevan and Callum in other books but we never got their fully story. Carrie does a wonderful job of introducing these characters as though readers are meeting them for the first time. Carrie gives these characters a lot of depth and readers will enjoy watching them grow.
” ‘And that’s what I hate. I hate that I love you even if I don’t want.’ “
Bevan an Callum have been raised in two completely different environments. Bevan’s childhood as hardened her in a lot of ways and she never truly dealt with a lot of her issues. Callum did what he thought was best but realized as they got older, that something had to give.
“Bevan has this sire-like pull over me; if I get too close, I’ll taste heaven, but then she’ll send me slamming back down to hell.”
You keep Breaking Us is so much more than a college romance. It’s about growth, maturity and learning to love yourself before fully loving someone else. Bevan and Callum mature and grow both individually and together in this book. Carrie does a phenomenal job of writing this story with as much authenticity while still delivering a beautiful romance.
