Brit Benson writes real, relatable romance. She likes outspoken, independent heroines, dirty talking, love-struck heroes, and plots that get you right in the feels.
Brit would almost always rather be reading or writing. When she’s not dreaming up her next swoony book boyfriend and fierce book bestie, she’s getting lost in someone else’s fictional world. When she’s not doing that, she’s probably marathoning a Netflix series or wandering aimlessly up and down the aisles in Homegoods, sniffing candles and touching things she’ll never buy.

I am absolutely loving this next generation of Lancaster kids!
Keep Me in Your Heart is Rowan Lancaster’s book and does not disappoint.
Rowan is a senior in high school and is ready to enjoy his last year. However, the one person who’s been a constant in his school life, Arabella Hartley, unintentionally mixes things up for him.
This is a true YA romance as these navigate new feelings, opening themselves up to one another and coming into their selves. There was alot of growth in each of them both individually and together. Rowan is a harmonious blend of his parents while Arabella strives to be anything like her parents. It’s their opposing upbringings that allows these two to fully appreciate one another.
Monica really does these characters justice but keeping them innocent at times but also showing maturity in some of their life experiences in their young lives. There were certain areas that I wanted fleshed out more but it did not deter my overall love for this story and these characters.
This new generation is becoming just an enjoyable as their parents’ series.

A Deliciously Sexy Ex-Boyfriend’s Rival, New Adult, Hockey Romance by USA Today and International Bestselling Author Rachel Leigh.
Two sports collide when a feisty sideline cheerleader meets her match in an arrogant hockey player who is more than just his bad boy reputation.
I fell for the wrong Devil…
Hayes Madden was never on my dance card. He’s an egotistical jock who plays for the Devil’s hockey team —not to mention, he’s my boyfriend’s biggest rival.
His sculpted abs and charm do nothing for me. Besides, I’m a cheerleader, not a puck bunny.
When a very graphic video of me and my ex is sent to the entire student roster at Rosewood-U, rumors quickly spread and, to my surprise, Hayes is my unlikely knight in shining armor.
Before long, I find myself falling for the hidden side of him he doesn’t let anyone else see.
It’s time for me to learn if this is all a strategic act of revenge against his nemesis, or if Hayes really is the beautiful devil I’ve fallen for.

This title couldn’t be more perfect for this story.
Rachel starts this story off with a bang and keeps the storyline moving throughout the entirety of the book.
I really enjoyed how readers could see the relationship building between Hayes & Brogan – we are just told but can truly see this play out.
Hayes was quite the surprise. Readers get to see him grow and learn so much.
Brogan is force to be reckoned with. I loved her strength and how she took control of the narrative.
Rachel wrote a terrific story that’s engaging with characters that had some great depth to them. I loo forward to more books from her.
Meet Rachel
Rachel Leigh is a USA Today and International bestselling author of new adult and contemporary romances. She loves to write—and read—flawed bad-boys and strong heroines. You can expect dark elements, a dash of suspense, and a lot of steam. Her goal is to take readers on an adventure with her words, while showing them that even on the darkest days, love conquers all. Rachel lives in Michigan with her husband, three little monsters (who aren’t so little anymore) and a couple of fur babies. When she’s not writing or reading, she’s likely lounging in leggings, with coffee in her hand, while binge watching her favorite reality tv shows.
In this fun, sexy college romance, a transfer student finds herself living in a house full of football players—and falling for the one she knows she shouldn’t want.
Everleigh
Transferring to UC Santa Mira is supposed to be my ultimate college experience—until housing falls through at the last minute. So when I overhear a group of guys complaining they need another roommate, I jump at the opportunity.
They’re just football players. Even if one of them makes me weak in the knees, it doesn’t mean anything unless I let it. And I won’t.
We want different things. Wanting each other doesn’t change that.
Nico
It’s my senior year and final season with the Santa Mira Dolphins. The last thing I need is a distraction, but that’s exactly what this girl is. Ever is too leggy, too gorgeous, too thoughtful—and a whole lot of too much that gets under my skin.
I guess I get under hers too. I can’t help myself.
We live together. That alone makes it a bad idea…but I never could resist a little trouble.

Monica starts this new series off well and just in time for football season!!
End Game is definitely more on the slow-burn romance with very low angst and honestly, it was the perfect combination for Nico and Everleigh.
Everleigh finds herself as the fourth roommate with three guys; three guys who happen to be known as the Kings around campus.
Nico is the typical playboy but struggles with his attraction to Everleigh. But she’s the new roommate and off-limits.
I really enjoyed how this one played out. While some parts felt a bit too long, it helped build that tension and low angst. But also add in the roommates and friends, this was nicely paced story and great build-up for the rest of the books in this series.
A great college, sports romance read. I am looking forward to more from this series.

My life as a queen bee was always traced for me. I’m rich, I come from an influential family, and I constructed my personality to become the girl everyone wants to be. I rule Silver Falls University with bright smiles and the pretense of being everyone’s friend.
𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐧𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞. Especially when my family loses its power and someone threatens to spill all my secrets. In the blink of an eye, my life as I knew it crumbles, and to save the people I love, I’m forced to initiate into the one place I thought I’d never be—the same Secret Society who betrayed my family.
Powerless, I’m thrown into a world of men who want nothing but to use and break me, and only one person can save me.
My ex.
He wants to take care of me even though I hate him. He wants to protect me when he’s not allowed. And he wants to make me his even if it puts us both at risk.
I have no hope of surviving a secret society.
But if Christopher Murray makes me his…𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐦.
Consider me a new Lola King fan. This was my first book by Lola and definitely won’t be my last.
Where do I even start with this review?! Ok – I will do quick what did not work for me and why this isn’t a full five star book. This is a spin-off series and if you have not read anything by Lola (like myself) or did not read the series this is spun off from, you can definitely tell. There are some nuances that are glazed over that, for me, needed to be touched on a bit more to understand the background and history of who these people are. Did it hurt the overall story, no. But it did hurt the flow for me when I hit those parts in the book.
With that being said, overall, this book was really great. I enjoyed the characters, their characteristics and mannerisms and how they all interacted. Lola does a great job of not sugarcoating who they are and stays true to them throughout the entire story.
Ella is Queen Bee and has this image to maintain, all the while, behind closed doors she is anything but she portrays. She’s a complicated FMC with her own demons. She’s been pushed around but at the same time, knows when to hold her own.
Chris is her ex, but also her brother’s best friend, who never knows they dated. To everyone, he’s the perfect gentleman. But Ella knows better than that, or at least she thought she knew him. She comes to learn, that with her, there are zero boundaries he is willing to cross.
Loving the Liar is a dark academia romance with secret society vibes meshed in to deliver one suspenseful story. A story I highly recommend.

When I met British billionaire Kabir Spencer at Splice London, he promised me an unforgettable night and nothing more. One night turned into a string of encounters, each one hotter than the next.
As our dynamic evolved, Spence helped me explore a side of myself I didn’t know existed until the moment I uttered the words Yes, Sir.
Then my secrets and my sorrow became too much to bear, and I well and truly broke.
During my lowest of lows, Spence cared for me in all the ways I needed.
Now, he’s come to my rescue once again, though he dropped a bomb of a secret when he arrived.
I have a lot of explaining to do to my current boyfriend and my ex-boyfriend-slash-stepbrother, but I’ll have plenty of time to get to it while we’re trapped together in the mountains for the holidays.
As if that isn’t enough, my narcissistic mother is back in town, and she and my stepfather will be joining us, too.
Nothing more didn’t last. Nothing I love ever stays.
It’s for the best. It’s only a matter of time before the possessiveness and sizzling tension between the three men in my life reach a boiling point and start to feel too real.
So Real is the second book in the Boys of South Chapel series. It is a steamy second chance why choose romance that must be read in order. A full list of tropes and triggers can be found on the author’s website.

Another cliffy!? OMG – I need the next book pronto!!
I need to collect thoughts and get my libido under control after finishing this one.
It’s been a full week since I finished reading this one and everything is still fresh in my mind.
I thought the things between Greedy, Levi and Hunter were hot and heavy in the first book, but add in Kabir and instant combustion!!
Don’t get me wrong, my heart broke for Hunter as we got more of her background. But holy dang, Abby takes that heartache and makes your heart thump with this new dynamic.
I am not saying anything else – just go read this one. But start with book one, So Wrong, first.

I have started and stopped this review so many times, I lost count. So please bear with me as I stumble through this because my thoughts and emotions are everywhere.
I hadn’t expected this book to tear my heart apart in so many different ways and then glue those shattered pieces together again.
I was expecting this to be an angsty YA romance but the only thing YA about this novel is the age of these characters & where there story starts. I got my angst but I also got a whole lot more.
Jennifer truly knows how to captive her readers with her words. She creates characters with a depth and connection, that it’s impossible to not feel the emotions running off these pages. She delivers a narrative that is very raw and authentic, allowing readers to become the characters.
This story has many twists that I never anticipated and it just gripped my heartstrings even tighter. I flat-out bawled many times reading. I had to put the book down, walk away and regroup myself because I was so vested in this story.
And while I cried, alot, I had huge smiles too. I felt my heart sing and rejoice many times. My heart and soul ran the gamut of emotions with this one and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Jennifer Hartman – this is your best work, to date. Ella, Max, their family and friends are forever a part of my soul.
“Soul doesn’t see. Souls feel.”
Once the book releases, I’ll add more quotes (because there’s a crap ton) that I highlighted throughout this story.
If you read one book this year, let it be this one. This is the perfect example of why I read romance – the journey may be uneasy, but results are worth it.

My first book by Jennifer and definitely not my last one.
Older is an age-gap, forbidden romance that definitely took me on an emotional rollercoaster.
This story is definitely character driven and readers get to truly see these characters struggle and grow as time moves forward.
This story is a true slow-burn and while I wanted to see more of their connection and not just Halley’s day-to-day doings, I could still get an idea of how things developed.
Jennifer knows how write a gripping story and even though this one had some mundane bits in the middle, overall it was a great story.
Definitely a forbidden romance that any romance reader will enjoy.

From New York Times bestselling author and BookTok sensation Monica Murphy comes a swoon-worthy new adult romance full of love songs.
Young heiress Scarlett Lancaster is delighted when her father tells her he hired a famous pop star and former boy band member to play at her eighteenth birthday. But delight becomes utter disappointment when it turns out he wasn’t talking about Harry Styles. No, Scarlett’s dad hired Tate Ramsey, former lead singer of the band Five Car Pileup, who hasn’t been popular for years.
Tate, after years of alcohol- and drug-fueled partying, is sober and ready for a comeback. He is in top form at Scarlett’s party and blows the audience away with his performance–though Scarlett herself still isn’t impressed. But when they talk after he leaves the stage, their encounter ends in a kiss that surprises them both–and immediately goes viral.
The viral kiss and the video of Tate singing at the party do wonders for both of their burgeoning careers. So after some careful negotiation, the two of them agree to start a fake relationship. But before long they discover their feelings might not be fake after all …
This is a sweet, coming of age, with a bit of rockstar, romance read!!!
Read the blurb if you want to know what the book is about. I do my best to NOT summarize the book in my reviews or give details away that may spoil any parts of a book.
Scarlett is not your typical heiress. Yes, she realizes how fortunate she is, however, she doesn’t want to be known for that. She wants to be relatable to the every day individual. And when she is provided an opportunity to live outside the life of her Lancaster, she takes that opportunity, with a bit of hesitancy though.
Monica does a wonderful job of letting this story play out naturally. But with saying that, certain revelations seem quite fast and the characters address this very well. I found this story to be authentic in so many ways yet very entertaining for readers. There is very light drama and is all handled well.
