The first time I met Casper Hart, I turned him down despite his good looks and obvious charm. I’d only just arrived at university, and a man like him was the last thing I needed to make me lose focus.
The only problem? I had no idea who the hell he was. Rich, entitled, hot, and arrogant, no one walked away from Casper without paying a high price.
Unfortunately for him, he’d chosen the wrong girl to pick a fight with.
Unfortunately for me… Casper happened to live right next door, and he didn’t let up easily.
Three years of endless torture later, it’s no secret to anyone that Casper and I share nothing but hate towards each other, going out of our way to cause as much pain and annoyance to the other as possible. But when a series of break-ins break out on campus, and my friends are all otherwise occupied, Casper ends up being the only person I can call upon to help me get out of a nasty situation.
The only question now is at what cost?
Because nothing Casper ever does for me comes free, and despite everyone else seeing him as the superhero, I know the truth.
He’s nothing but a rotten Villain. One I can’t seem to stay away from no matter how hard I try.

Enduring rough living conditions became second nature. With her shield of sarcasm and a tenacity of amour, Rory’s gut had never failed her. That was until she landed in a small town with a passion for bourbon, horse-racing, and the Jordan brothers.
The walls of her new foster home were abundant but brimmed with secrets of their own. She knew biding her time until her eighteenth birthday wouldn’t be easy. 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻.
The most paramount decision she’s ever been faced with was choosing between two boys. Each claiming a little bit of her heart for unique reasons. Amidst the chaos that surrounded her, she found beauty in the boisterous laughter one brought and the myriad of feelings the other made her feel.
“I love you more than I’ve ever loved anything or anyone in this world. It’s unusual, some might even say rushed, to fall in love so young and commit your life to another person. I say the world can go fuck itself. I’m tired of trying to please other people and be what society expects of me. All I care about is being good to you. Loyal. Protective. And respectful. I won’t make you promises that I’ll never screw up again, or that we’re going to be happy every day for the rest of our lives. That’s not real. Life is about embracing the chaos. I want to make the hard times easier. I want to give you the life you dreamed you’d have. I want to be your forever home. Not this town. Not even because we’ll share a last name. Me. I want to be your refuge just as much as you are mine.”
Beauty in Chaos is Nacole’s newest release and her first book in over eight years. Let’s just say that Nacole really knows how to make comeback into the writing scene.
Beauty in Chaos is such a unique and emotional story. The blurb truly gives you just a tiny glimpse of what Rory’s story is about.
Rory is just trying to survive foster care and find a way to get full custody of her foster brother once she ages out. What she never anticipated were the Jordan brothers.
One brother is fire and the other ice. I just can’t decided which one is going to burn me first.
Trice and Crew are complete opposites of one another. And Rory struggles with her reactions to each of them; she’s never had to sift through her thoughts and feelings like she does with each of them. But when a family secret is revealed, Rory is faced with an almost impossible decision.
I cannot applaud Nacole enough for how well written this story is. You sense what each of these characters are going through. You find yourself empathizing with Rory, understanding some of these teen’s life choices.
But eve moreso, Nicole delves into the in-depth issues such as foster care and adoption and the nuiances associated with those issues. All the grey areas surrounding our foster care system and how broken it is, and she does it with grace but keeps it real.
Beauty in Chaos is definitely an emotional read and will tug at your heart strings in so many ways. It is worth every penny.
Bones.

Before Samson McShane, I was merely Sable Cole, the oldest daughter of our town’s druggie. Multiple eyes were on me, watching my every action—waiting for me to mess up.
When I met Samson, we couldn’t be more different yet he became my escape. He took me out of the protective shell I created for myself and showed me what it meant to be free.
Our lives would drift apart.
I saw him, clashed with him, and loved him sixteen times.
My past should have shown me the error in loving him. It never did.
Samson McShane was my sin and my addiction. He was my sixteenth need.
It’s been a bit since I have read a book by Calia Read and I am pondering why that is.
The Sixteenth Need was so much more than a second chance romance. This story has so much depth to it, I don’t even know where to start.
Calia creates characters that have so many layers to them and you just can’t help but love them.
We meet the Cole sisters – Sable, Alba, Marren and Lennon. The Sixteenth Need focuses mostly on Sable and her second chance romance with Samson, but I absolutely love how perfect Calia weaves everyone into this story.
This story is told from both past and present and from Sable and Samson’s POV. I enjoyed watching these two grow in so many ways and learning about one another as their story progresses. It is a slow burn, but it absolutely so worth it.
Calia builds the perfect anticipation with every aspect to this story. It all flows seamlessly and comes together beautifully.
I purposely left out all details because this story needs to be read without any knowledge, just like I read it. I promise you won’t regret picking this one up.
I, Drake Colter, solemnly swear I do not want a girlfriend…
Carefree and ridiculously good-looking, I have the entire student body eating from the palm of
my hand—shouldn’t I let the ladies on campus have their fill rather than being tied down?
If only my brother Drew would take notes from my playbook. As identical twins, we share the
same voice, the same face, and the same physique; it’s virtually impossible to tell us apart—but
that’s where the similarities end.
Lately, my brother has been whining about wanting to settle down with. He longs for affection,
companionship and all the bullshit that goes along with it blah blah blah.
Problem is, he’s hopeless when it comes to dating. It’s seriously embarrassing to watch,
considering we’re identical; everyone thinks I’m him and everyone thinks he’s me.
Luckily I’m not intimidated by woman and have plenty of experience. I might not want to find
myself a girlfriend, but that don’t mean I can’t help him. Dude never needs to know!
And that’s the very thing that lands me in trouble…

I’ll Always Be With You by Monica Murphy is now live!
New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy returns to Lancaster Prep with a new enemies to lovers romance… Weston Fontaine is the hottest senior at Lancaster Prep.
And he knows it.
He’s gorgeous. Confident. Smart.
Too smart.
Everyone loves him. He could have any girl on campus, except for one.
Me.
I’m a Lancaster, meaning I’m basically untouchable–or so I thought. It’s my family who owns this God forsaken private school that I don’t want to attend. But according to my parents, I have to endure my senior year at Lancaster Prep before I can return to what I love the most: ballet.
West doesn’t make my time here easy. He’s arrogant. Crude. Insufferable. He torments me in the worst way, to the point that I can’t stand him. Yet he’s the only boy I’ve ever let touch me…
You see, West and I? We share a secret. On a hot summer night in Paris, we hooked up. And I never do that. Ever. I revealed parts of myself to him I’ve never shown anyone else. He’s seen me at my most vulnerable. I told him my secrets. And he told me his. In Paris, he was sexy. Protective. Even dare I say…sweet.
Now he’s the villain in my story, yet I can’t help but chase after that feeling only West can give me. Despite our hatred for each other, we somehow burn brighter when we’re together. So what happens when you helplessly fall for the one person you know is bad for you?
If you’re like me, you go ahead and fall for him anyway.

I’ll Always Be With You is the newest release in Monica’s Lancaster Prep series and is a second chance, enemies to lovers romance.
Monica crushes this story so well. She gives these characters depth and weaves the perfect layers to this plot.
Carolina’s mom is pulling her from her London Dance school to attend her last year at Lancaster Prep – the school her family owns and the one she cared to never step foot in. What she does not expect is come face to face with West.
West rules Lancaster Prep. But neither knew of the other when they had their tryst in Paris.
Monica delivers the perfect cat and mouse story. I love how Carolina tries to stay aloof with West. But West just loves getting under her skin any chance he gets.
I want to say so much but what I loved most was that I had no idea what was going to happen between these two and I will not spoil that for any reader.
You can definitely read this as a standalone, but I would recommend me reading all these stories in order to get the full affect of them.

Both a traditionally published and independently published author, she writes young adult, new adult and contemporary romance. She’s also known as USA Today bestselling author Karen Erickson.
A native Californian, she lives on fourteen acres in the middle of nowhere with her husband, two kids, one dog, and four cats. When she’s not writing, she’s an assistant coach for her daughter’s high school cheer team, which is a two season sport. Meaning, she’s at practice with a bunch of teenage girls all the time. Or she’s at a football game. Or a basketball game. Maybe someday, she’ll even write about this experience.
Aurora Bradshaw survived by her intuition. Bouncing from one foster care home to another throughout her adolescence left her with deep-rooted trust issues.
Until she found a semblance of solace in her new neighbors, Trice and Crew Jordan.
When a jarring family secret emerges, Rory is in the middle of an impasse.
The most paramount decision she’s ever been faced with was choosing between two boys. Each claiming a little bit of her heart for unique reasons. Amidst the chaos that surrounded her, she found beauty in the boisterous laughter one brought and the myriad of feelings the other made her feel.
Every decision she’d ever had to make had come with a price, but love has no boundaries. With nothing but misfortune plaguing her past, Rory has nothing to lose.

After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I’d find the cure for what ravaged her. And leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me.
Four years later, I receive an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest, most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it’s rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before. Those whose bones are said to make up the island’s white sandy shores.
And restless ghosts aren’t even its most daunting peculiarity.
Devryck Bramwell, known on campus as Doctor Death, is a brilliant pathologist in charge of the midnight lab. He’s also my devastatingly handsome professor, who seems to loathe tenacious first-years, like me. Except, his dark and enigmatic gaze tells me all the ways he’d devour me if given the chance, and his stolen kisses burn my lips with forbidden jealousy.
I crave his authority.
He aches for redemption.
Together, we’re toxic. Delicious fodder for the prying eyes hellbent on exhuming the rotted skeletons of our pasts.
For the dead have much to teach, and it’s only a matter of time before Dracadia’s most depraved secret is resurrected.
Keri Lake is a dark romance writer who specializes in demon wrangling, vengeance dealing and wicked twists. Her stories are gritty, with antiheroes that walk the line of good and bad, and feisty heroines who bring them to their knees. When not penning books, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and their rebellious Labrador (who doesn’t retrieve a damn thing). She runs on strong coffee and alternative music, loves a good red wine, and has a slight addiction to dark chocolate.
I have been a huge fan of Keri’s since I read her book, Somnium waaay back in 2011. And I have read every book since has published since then, without fail. To say she has grown exponentially since then, is an understatement.
Keri’s writing style is rare and extremely unique. She doesn’t fit into one genre and I love that she allows her characters to tell the stories. She doesn’t write to sell, she writes to tell stories that will stick with her readers for years to come. And they do.
Nocticadia left me speechless. Not only was I given the opportunity to BETA read this one, but Keri pushed herself to write a story that is like nothing I have read before. And I feel like I say that with every book she writes, but it is so true. Not one of her stories is ever the same but they are also so incredibly distinct in books in general. She’s like my Steven King in gothic, dark, fantasy writing.
I am not going to tell you what happens in this story because you, as a reader, need to experience this story firsthand yourself.
Keri delivers a story with characters that have depth and a plot that has many layers to it. Nocticadia is a slow burn, forbidden romance that has the best eerily vibe attached to it. I could not stop reading this book once I started.
Another smashing hit for Keri and I love that she continues to keep readers on their toes and guessing what will happen next.
Three years ago she ruined my life, now I’m going to ruin hers.
Until I Get You by Claire Contreras is now live!
My reputation at Fairview University preceded me. I was the projected number-one pick in the NHL draft and the fan favorite at the rink. People wanted to be me or be with me. Except for Lyla James Marichal. She didn’t look at me like I was her next meal. She eyed me with disdain. Instead of vying for my attention, she ignored me and pushed me away. She was completely unattainable, and I became obsessed with her. When I finally got her, it felt like I was on top of the world. I was going to help the team win another championship, going into the draft, and had Lyla by my side. And then, without warning, she left me. Vanished. It took me three bitter, angry, long years to find her, but I did, and now she owes me a lot more than just an explanation. Three years ago, she ruined my life. Now, I was going to become her worst nightmare.

As our world comes crashing down around us, loyalties are put to the test. Nothing should be able to shatter the promises we made, but there’s a fine line between tenacious and toxic.
Someone should’ve warned us that even a drop of pretty poison will spread until all that’s left are shattered pieces and broken memories.
Playing by the Rules by Monica Murphy is now live!
Camden Fields is the star quarterback of our college football team. Quiet. Smart. Absolutely gorgeous. He’s the man all the women on campus rave about. And while he’s had a few casual hookups over the years, it’s never anything serious. Cam doesn’t do serious. He also doesn’t do me. See, I’m his best friend’s little sister, and whenever we’re around each other, he’s always warning me that I’m off limits. That nothing can ever happen between us. But I see the way he looks at me when he thinks I’m not watching. The heat in his gaze. The hunger. He can deny it, but that man wants me. I want him too. I’m tired of always being the good girl and doing what everybody expects. For once, I’m going to break all the rules that have restrained me my entire life. I’m going after Camden Fields. And no one can stop me.

Playing By The Rules is Blair and Camden’s story and second book in The Players series.
The brother’s best friend trope seems to be a huge and popular right now and with every trope, I have certain expectations for it to work well for me. And this book definitely checks off the right things for me. It also helps that I love Monica’s writing style.
As with most of Monica’s YA reads, this is low in angst but the chemistry is off the charts. Cam and Blair definitely compliment each other well and I love that Blair has no qualms about putting Cam in his place a few times.
This story flows well and I enjoyed how everything played out.
Another great hit from Monica. I am looking forward to Ruby’s book next.
