And if the truth about their union comes to light, it has the potential to set off a full-blown mafia war, putting everyone at risk, particularly Teagan.

From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new forbidden, enemies-to-lovers story…
It all started with an unexpected phone call.
Two years after my fiancé passed away in an accident, his father died suddenly, leaving Brad’s adult, special-needs brother with no one to care for him.
The next thing I knew, I was on a cross-country drive to New Hampshire where I’d be moving in to look after Scottie until I could get him into a group home.
The last thing I ever expected?
I wouldn’t be taking care of him alone.
Josh Mathers, my fiance’s best friend—who also happened to be my sworn enemy—insisted he was the better person for the job. He told me to go back to California, and I told him where he could stick that demand.
Our disdain for each other wasn’t anything new. It dated back to a text I’d accidentally read years ago.
We hated each other. But we both loved Scottie, so neither of us budged.
Now we were living together in a tiny house—with one available bedroom. Thank goodness it was only temporary.
Over time, I realized the broody jerk I thought I knew was different than I’d imagined.
I found myself slowly growing attached to someone I once considered the enemy…and growing attracted to him.
Sure, both of us were guilt-ridden over Brad. We were also two grown people with pent-up frustration toward one another—stuck in a cabin in the woods.

Ward is a New York Times, USA Today and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling
author of contemporary romance.
She grew up
in Boston with five older brothers and spent most of her twenties as a
television news anchor. Penelope resides in Rhode Island with her husband, son,
and beautiful daughter with autism.

As the eldest son of Austin’s most prominent preacher, I’ve lived my life on the virtuous side.
No scandals. Flawless image. Clean reputation.
That’s the way it must be if I’m going to take his place someday.
But everything changes when I find out my father is a VIP member of a local kink club.
A liar. A cheater. A hypocrite.
Now, I’m done being righteous.
And when the club owner’s jaded girlfriend comes to me with a proposal, I can’t resist.
Sage is nothing like the women I’ve dated before. Pink hair, tattoos, piercings. I know it’ll burn my father’s reputation to the ground when she and I are seen together.
But our fake dating scheme isn’t enough. We need videos—dirty videos.
The more we film these scenes, the more I like it.
She wants me to degrade her, hurt her, violate her.
And God help me, I want it too.
But it’s hardly fake anymore, and before long I don’t recognize the Goode man I used to be.
Anti-hero is Sara Cate’s newest release and first book in her The Goode Brothers series.
Anti-hero is also my first book by Sara Cate. And I’ve gotta admit – I picked a damn phenomenal one. She earned a fan in me immediately.
I don’t even know where to begin on my love of this book. I loved everything about this book from the plot, to the characters, to the impeccable writing that just brings this story to life.
Sara Cate truly knows how to give not only her story many layers, but her characters. I love how this story flowed and how everything played out in the most natural and realistic way. Her writing truly breathed life into these characters and their story.
Sage and Adam may be complete opposites in every single way possible, but they also brought out the best (and dirtiest) in one another. The revelations (pun intended 😉) that each of them had as this story progressed was another layer to discovering who they were and what they wanted.
Sara blends everything in this book (suspense, spice, angst, drama, rollercoaster emotions) perfectly to deliver one hell of an intriguing and authentic story. You will love Sage and Adam’s story and be begging for more once it’s over.
Just go read this one already!
Meet Sara Cate
Let’s skip the boring About the Author bit where I tell you how I’m a USA Today bestselling author who lives in Arizona with her kids, husband, and dog and enjoys baking in my free time. Boring.
Instead, I’d like you to know I strive to be a taboo and forbidden romance author who dares to tell stories with heart-wrenching plot and toe-curling heat.
My passion in life is to normalize a reading experience that pushes boundaries and empowers women to own their sexuality. Things that trigger my soapbox rants are discrediting the romance industry or belittling its readers by calling it “trash.” You’ve been warned. I could quite literally go on for days.
I like to take risks and write from the heart. And I want nothing more than to be an author readers trust to deliver books that are steamy AF but with a strong storyline and well-rounded characters.
What is The Sara Cate Experience?
The Sara Cate Experience means being pulled into a story and escaping reality a little bit for romances that are as emotional as they are arousing. The feelings are strong and the steam is scorching. There is never one without the other because when sex and love come together, it’s fireworks.

Breaking News: Rugby’s bad boy marries his best friend’s little sister
If Renn Brewer would’ve asked me to marry him, I would’ve said no.
Why?
One, his reputation precedes him. His name is in the headlines at least once a month. Two, he’s not just my brother’s best friend. They’re teammates. And three, I’m in my self-care era.
Unfortunately, a version of me equates self-care with bad choices.
The cocktail in my hand—similar to the one that got me into this situation—is the prettiest shade of pink. It’s almost the same color as the giant rock on my left hand. And instead of discussing an annulment, I’m considering a 90-day marriage of convenience to the man I accidentally married in Las Vegas.
Renn didn’t propose marriage. But he does deliver a proposal I might be unable to turn down.
USA Today and Amazon Charts Bestselling author, Adriana Locke, writes contemporary romances about the two things she knows best—big families and small towns. Her stories are about ordinary people finding extraordinary love with the perfect combination of heart, heat, and humor.
She loves connecting with readers, fall weather, football, reading alpha heroes, everything pumpkin, and pretending to garden.
Hailing from a tiny town in the Midwest, Adriana spends her free time with her high school sweetheart (who she married over twenty years ago) and their four sons (who truly are her best work). Her kitchen may be a perpetual disaster, and if all else fails, there is always pizza.
Second-chance romance only works out in movies. In real life, it’s …messy.
I don’t need a man for anything.
Love and romance? Pfft. No thanks. Never again.
Between my career as a wedding planner and being a single mother, I barely have time to think about men.
I wasn’t looking for a hero when I ended up locked outside a hotel that was engulfed in a blazing inferno, wearing nothing but a robe. I would’ve eventually saved myself. Too bad he didn’t give me a chance.
Yep, you guessed it. Luke Incendio, the sexy firefighter who came to my hotel rescue and the man who had caused me to swear off love years ago is one and the same.
Now, he says he wants to make amends. He says he’s never stopped wanting me. His words are laced in regret as he says he made a mistake.
But talk is cheap—and the tingly feelings he inspires in me are not to be trusted. Because this time around, I’m not the only one who’ll get burned if he proves to be unreliable.
Jeannine Colette combines humor and angst in her sexy, stand-alone romance novels. Her stories feature dynamic heroines, and swoon-worthy heroes, who have to abandon their reality in order to discover themselves . . . and love along the way.
A graduate of Wagner College and the New York Film Academy, Jeannine went on to become a Segment Producer for television shows on CBS and NBC. She left the television industry to focus on her children and pursue a full-time writing career. She lives in New York with her husband, the three tiny people she adores more than life itself, and a rescue pup named Wrigley.
Jeannine and her family are active supporters of The March of Dimes and Strivright The Auditory-Oral School of New York.

The Dandelion Diary, an all-new heartwarming Maysen Jar novella from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Devney Perry is available now!
From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Devney Perry comes a new story in her Maysen Jar series…
Dear Diary,
My dad needs a girlfriend, and I’ve already picked her out.
Miss Adler would be perfect for him, right? She’s super pretty. She has the best smile and she gives the best hugs. And she’s, like, the most amazing teacher in the world.
Dad is my hero, but I can tell he’s lonely. He tries to hide it from me, but sometimes at night, when he thinks I’m asleep, I’ll sneak downstairs and find him sitting on the couch, staring at nothing. He’s never had a girlfriend, not since the divorce. Mom messed him up. She’s good at that.
He’s smart and funny, but he doesn’t laugh enough. I’ve seen other moms at school check him out so I guess he’s handsome. (Eww.) And he makes up the best nicknames. He calls me Dandelion. I bet he’d give Miss Adler an awesome nickname too.
They’re perfect for each other. I just know it. Now I only have to show them I’m right.
Wish me luck.
Katy

Jeff stopped just beyond the patio, turning to face me. I stopped too, standing just within arm’s reach. He reached up, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear. “I’m stalling.” “You’re stalling.” “You gotta tell me what you want. It’s your job. It’s your life. You want to wait until summer, then I’ll walk you to your car right now.” I inched closer. More of that bravery bubbled to the surface. Was this a stupid idea? Yep. So why couldn’t I leave? “What if I don’t want to go to my car?” A growl came from his chest as he dragged a hand over his jaw. “You’re sure?” “Is Katy asleep?” He nodded once. “Out like a light.” “Then I want you to kiss me.” The words were barely out of my mouth before his lips crushed mine, his strong arms sweeping me off my feet as he hauled me into his chest. Yes. Whatever doubts I had vanished. I melted against him, sinking into the feel of those lips against mine. Never in my life had I been this bold. Never in my life had I told a man to kiss me. Worth it. So fucking worth it. His tongue swept against the seam of my lips, demanding entry. A mewl escaped my throat as he slid inside. Then he plundered, fluttering and tangling and swirling his tongue with mine until I was breathless. This man could kiss. Thank the stars in the sky, he could kiss. He nipped at the corner of my mouth, then sucked my bottom lip between his teeth. He slanted over me, delving deeper, leaving no corner of my mouth untouched. My entire body went up in flames, my pulse thudding in time with the aching throb in my core. When he broke us apart, my lips were swollen. He latched on to my neck, sucking and kissing as he left a trail down the column of my throat. “More.” I fisted the material of his shirt, holding him to me. “Fuck, Della.” His voice held an edge of restraint, like he was trying to press the brakes. He pulled back, setting me on my feet. His eyes searched mine and his Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed hard. Then he shifted, taking a step away. No. “Don’t,” I panted. Maybe it was the years of rejection from Luka. Maybe it was this all-consuming need for Jeff’s touch, his skin against mine. If I had to beg, I’d beg. Tonight, I wanted to be craved. Worshiped. And if that kiss was any indication, together, we could be dynamite. “Della—” “Please don’t pull away from me.” There was a vulnerability in my voice that surprised even me. Jeff’s eyes softened. “I don’t want to, beautiful. But if I don’t put this space between us, I’m not sure I’ll be able to let you go.” The air rushed from my lungs. He wants me. Deep down, I knew he wanted me. That kiss was a kiss from a man who wanted a woman. But to hear the need in his voice, well…it meant I didn’t care about the rules. Not tonight. I’d risk it all, just once. “You said I had to tell you what I want,” I said. “And that’s you. Kiss me again. Take me inside to your bedroom. Or if all you want to do is sit at the table and play cribbage with me, I’ll take whatever I can get. We don’t even know each other but the idea of me leaving right now…” I shook my head. “I don’t want to leave.”
This is how you write a novella!!!
The Dandelion Diary is a novella in Devney’s Maysen Jar series and part of the 1,001 Dark Nights 2023 collection.
If you’re a dummy like me and haven’t read any of the books in this series, this is the perfect book to get a peak into this perfect small town. And it’s also a perfect way to get a glimpse into Devney’s phenomenal writing.
I cannot rave enough about this novella. It’s set in this quaint small-town and has adorable little stores. The Dandelion Diary features a divorced, single dad and he’s incredibly sweet daughter and his daughter’s teacher. Yep – a forbidden romance.
Jeff helps manage a local landscaping business and his main focus has always been his daughter, Katy, whom he also calls Dandelion. I absolutely love the father-daughter relationship between these two.
Della Adler is Katy’s school teacher. She and Jeff have a meeting one day at Katy’s school after Katy has a bad day and there’s this immediate connection between one another. And from there – things take off.
There’s reason this is called The Dandelion Diary – and you must read this one to find out why. The ending had me smiling the biggest smile.
Definitely a must read!!!

“You will go to Rathe University, live among the giftless and those of light magic. You, Knight Deveraux, will learn to coexist.”
I’ve never heard more wasted words in my life. Then again, the gifted counsel never did have much to say that wasn’t. The only members amongst them who speak a thing worth listening to are my parents, the King and Queen of the Stygian’s, the people of Dark Magic.
Unfortunately for me and my brothers, they’ve chosen to play nice instead of sinking their talons into anyone who dares demand a thing from their heirs. In this instance at least.
Every gifted is forced to leave our realm behind after graduation to spend the next four years in a world thaat isn’t ours, while pretending it’s enough for those with something deeper clawing beneath their skin.
It isn’t. Not by a long shot, and while it’s as boring as I thought it would be, we find ways to entertain ourselves.
A little Fae Dust, the power of persuasion, and it’s a party worthy of a royal … or four.
That was fun the first year, but it’s my second now, and the minute I got back to campus, I knew it would be worse than before. I felt it, that pull buried beneath my skin, the whisper of a warning deep in my mind I could hear but couldn’t reach.
It starts with a human party and ends with a fucking nightmare.
I five foot, white haired one.
With eyes like ice and a body begging to be bitten, she’s a problem.
A giftless one.
That’s right, she’s human.
Worthless.
And if the shadow circling my soul is telling me what I think it is … she belongs to it.
My new obsession … is my fated mate.
But there is no way the fates would give me, a Lord of Rathe, a heir to the throne of dark magic, a giftless girl.
Amo & Brandy have created a bookbaby together and it’s in a brand new genre for them!!!
First off, I’ll be honest & tell you that this one starts off slow, which is unusual for Amo. So please bear that in mind when reading this one.
Second, this isn’t what most PNR readers are going to salivate over. BUT, and it’s a big BUT, this is their first venture into PNR and they did a fairly decent job of creating their paranormal world and still maintaining their dark romance.
With that being said, here’s my two cents on things throughout the book:
As I said earlier, slow start. Sort of out felt all over the place at parts & you could tell two people wrote it as things didn’t flow seamlessly at times. I did receive a non-fully edited arc, so some of my issues were hopefully fixed in the released book. I was definitely intrigued and felt more engaged around 60%. I felt as though things were finally starting to make sense & scenes were blending together more.
In the beginning, I struggled with the dynamics between Knight and London. I had an idea of what the authors were trying to attempt, but it felt very jilted. It thankfully became more clear towards the end and that helped give some understanding of the dynamics in the beginning.
Paranormal stuff– definitely needs more world building; needed more depth about the light and dark magic, and the differences between them in their worlds. I needed to know more about their world, whereas as we got brief snippets; it’s enough to understand but for true paranormal, it needs more layers.
I’d definitely say the second half made up for the first half. A good first book by both authors in a new genre.
Readers of both these authors will probably enjoy their venture into something new. It’s an interesting take on PNR; I really enjoyed the dark undertones that were weaved into the paranormal world.
Overall, I’m excited to see where these two authors go with this story. If you love either of these authors, you’ll definitely enjoy this one.

Born and raised in California, she is a married mother of three crazy boys who keep her bouncing from one sports field to another, depending on the season, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Starbucks is her best friend and words are her sanity.
But that’s all in the past. I put my unrequited crush on Zach, my best friend’s grumpy brother, behind me years ago. My ex-fiancé, the jerk who left me at the altar, is also in my emotional rearview. Now, I’m focusing on my career. I don’t have time for romance.
Then my ex shows up and everything changes.
Zach comes to my defense in a big way, pretending to be my boyfriend. Then he suggests we keep up our mutually beneficial fake relationship for a few more months.
And it’s not long before I realize my crush on Zach might not be as over as I’d hoped.
It might not be as unrequited as I’d thought, either.
But as much as I’d love to trust him, to give him a second chance, I’m not sure I can. I gave him my heart once and he broke it.
This time, I’m afraid trust might be a luxury I can’t afford.
Broody Nerd, part of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s Cocky Hero world, is a light-hearted, contemporary romance standalone featuring plenty of mutual pining, a strong, curvy heroine, and a slightly nerdy, growly hero. Happily ever after guaranteed…along with a slow-burn romance.
Autumn enjoys writing angsty romance, featuring flawed and quirky characters and hard-won happy ever afters. When she’s not working as a nurse assistant, you’ll find her behind keyboard writing stories, or curled up on the couch with a book. Her work has been featured in USA Today’s Happy Ever After.
She lives with her two children and one fur baby, enjoys good wine and binge-watching TV shows whenever she can.
The boy who broke my heart is now the man who wants to mend it.

Tell It To My Heart is a second-chance rockstar romance and I am here for it!
This review (like most of mine) will not reword the blurb nor will I summarize what happens. The blurb is all you need to know going into this.
In true Siobhan style, she pulls you in from the beginning, keeps you transfixed the entire time, all the while, has you understanding and empathizing with these characters.
The story is told from both POVs and the story flows absolutely perfectly. It is a slow burn that is filled with angst, some suspense and heat.
A definite must read!
