Taylor reciprocated those feelings but after one night when she finally thought she’d be getting the guy she always crushed on, he crushed her heart.
Now, years later they both find themselves in a whole other country working for the same company. But an even bigger kicker is that he’s her boss.
Carrie did a brilliant job of writing these two characters. They’re both very independent and strong-willed but together, they’re absolutely amazing.
Jack has always been confident in himself, except when it comes to Taylor. She keeps him on his toes in various ways.
Taylor has a very determined personality but she’s also fragile. She’s had her trust broken and her safety shaken. She’s always been able to find security in Jack, no matter what.
Carrie delivered a heartwarming story with some mild drama that is quickly taken care of. The characters handle things (mostly) like the mature adults they are & when they don’t, there’s others to knock sense into them.
Once Forbidden, Twice Shy is a quick second-chance, romance that’ll readers will thoroughly enjoy, start to finish.
