Wow. I never thought I would say this about a Skye Warren book, but I feel like I was gipped. Sonata is the final book in the trilogy and well, it was a let down for me. And that really sucks.
I have been so pulled into this series with the suspense, the relationship between Samantha and Liam – all of it and I was so excited to get answers to so much – who is Samantha’s dad and why does he want her killed? Will Liam finally get his head out his ass and truly love Samantha like he knows he wants? Will they find out how deep these secrets run?
The only thing we got was Liam getting his head out his ass and professing his love, but a little all too quickly and out of nowhere. I mean, it gave me whiplash on how quickly he changes his tune. As for everything else – shit just gets wrapped up without knowing anything. WTF?!?
This book missed the mark completely for me. It took me way too long to read and then when I got to the end, I was left with this feeling of confusion and WTF did I just read? This is not typical of Skye Warren.
The writing was fantastic, which doesn’t surprise me – it’s Skye Warren! But this book felt like a novella to keep us excited for the finale and then she wrapped it all up within the last 10%. So disappointed and it guts me to say that.
Yea – nothing like the first two books and that is just heartbreaking for me.
