Doubt you’ll find me writing anything not erotic as you can barely get me to even read something out of that category, but then again, you never know what I might try next.

I back up until I hit the half wall beside the fridge. “We said we weren’t going to do this anymore, Hayden.” I hold my hand out, pressing it to his firm stomach to stop him from coming any closer. I want to walk away, but a larger part of me wants to stop thinking about Liam. And there’s only one way to do that.
Hayden sighs and grabs a piece of my hair. He brings it to his lips. “You look sexy as fuck, Rey. I like your hair like this.” He rubs the silky, dark strand against his lips. A playful smirk dances in his eyes.
“Nice key change, Hay. But you should take those fuck me eyes elsewhere.”
He hunches over and nuzzles his mouth into my neck, licking and kissing a trail up to my ear. “Now why would I want to do that?” he whispers, his voice husky.
I can feel him grinning against my skin as goose pimples flare out on my neck beneath his warm breath. I ball up a chunk of his T-shirt into my fist for some semblance of control. His hands move to grip tightly around my waist and I could scream at my body as it arches into his embrace.
This is exactly what Hayden does to me. He makes me lose all sense of thought and purpose. It’s part of the draw. He’s a freaking mess like me and I ache for the pleasure I know he can grant me.
“We say a lot of words,” he mumbles against my neck and nips playfully. “Let’s do less saying…and more fucking.”

My Review:

Teased is the newest installment in author Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors series as well as novella number 19 in the 1,001 Dark Nights 2015 line-up.  I am a huge fan of both Ms. Zantetti and 1,001 Dark Nights so to get my hands on this novella was über exciting and I loved every pulse pounding and intense second of it!

Never in her wildest dreams did Olivia Roberts think getting a good story would put her life in danger. Yet here she was, being shot at and running away from a kidnapping attempt.  As if that wasn’t enough, she’s caught in the clutches of a very dangerous and very sexy man who, even though he says he’s trying to keep her safe, she can’t help but shake the feeling there is something more going on with him.  She truly had no idea that reporting this story would not only lead her onto a path littered with supernatural beings but on a path to her fated mate…

Chalton Reese was used to all sorts of assignments but he certainly has never been on one so crucial to the Realm. Yet here he was, chasing after a woman who keeps running away from him and one who has no intention of revealing where she was getting her information.  This was certainly proving to be one of his most trying assignments yet.  Now he’s trying to keep this beautiful woman safe, get her to trust him with information, and trying to ignore the nagging feeling that she may he his fated mate.  If he only believed a man like him were worthy of one…

Fate has put these two together for a reason.  Now they both just need to put all their fears and disbeliefs aside and listen to what their hearts are telling them….well, if they survive.

From the very first page, Teased is non-stop action and I freaking loved it.  It’s been some time since I opened the first page of a book and was riveted to each page, beyond anxious to see what was going to happen next.  Teased did that and then some!

I was a worried mess for Olivia but knew Chalton would keep her safe.  I mean that man is like sexy mega protector extraordinaire and I just adore him and his alpha ways.  I’d certainly never turn him away from rescuing me! Olivia surely gave him a run for his money though.  She is a total spitfire and I loved her spunk and attitude when she challenged Chalton at every turn.  Her reactions were so relatable and it was refreshing to read.  No overly feminine pushover here! Together these two were delicious.  Their push and pull was off the charts hot and when they decide to throw some caution to the wind and spend a night together it was beyond smoking hot!

Adding to that there is a whole lot of drama with trying to find out who is after Olivia and also Chalton trying to find out who her source was.  Talk about non-stop! That drama brings in Chalton’s brothers and while they have been estranged for quite some time, they fall into a great banter that had me laughing out loud more than a few times.  I tend to find humor in most situations, especially when stress is high, so I loved that aspect!

Teased really is the whole package.  Heat, action, suspense, and even some humor….it all adds up to one amazing story!  I can’t wait to see what’s in store next for some of my favorite supernaturals.  Thank you, Ms. Zanetti, for an amazing read!

The honeymoon was over …

Not literally, of course. We never made it that far. Noah and I had two blissful years. Make that one year, five months, and six days of bliss.

In that time together, we’d done just about everything a (relatively) normal couple does.

There was college graduation—where, incidentally, Dad bawled his eyes out and Mom critiqued my wardrobe choice. Christmas in Illinois—where I had to prevent Noah from hunting down Thomas Richardson. Hanukkah with the Adlers. Weddings of distant cousins. Funerals for a great uncle and a beloved professor at the university.

There was the epic Jules and Foster break-up; an even more epic Noah and Foster make-up. Then came the new jobs and new apartments, and new challenges.

My Review:

Crashed Out is the first book in the all-new Made In Jersey series by Tessa Bailey. Ok, so I’m sure most of you know I’m a huge Tessa fan and I’m sure it won’t come as any surprise that I loved this book. Yep. Loved, devoured, and swooned over this book.

It’s been four years since Jasmine and Sarge have been in the same town together. Since then, a whole lot has changed. Sarge’s music career has taken off like a bat out of hell and he’s grown into every female fan’s wet dream. Certainly a far cry from the quiet and awkward teen young brother to her best friend Jasmine remembered him as. But as much that has changed, there’s a few things that have stayed the same. One being Jasmine still being stuck in this town with no hope of ever getting out. The other being Sarge’s unrelenting and enduring love from afar that he’s felt for Jasmine since as long as he can remember.

Now fate has put these two in very close quarters for a few days when Sarge heads back home and he sure as hell isn’t going to give up the gift that he knows this is. It’s time for Jasmine to get to know the man Sarge is…up close and personal.

Good. Lord. Upon finishing this book I have one question plaguing my mind: How in the hell does Tessa get anything done all day with these men running around in her mind? I would be just sitting on the couch, staring off into space, occasionally sighing and constantly grinning like a fool. I mean sign me up for Team Sarge, cause that man is sex on two legs and has a huge heart and ferocity when it comes to his feelings for his Jasmine that had me swooning like never before.

Sarge is intense and sexy as all get out but has a vulnerability when it comes to his long hidden feelings for her that just killed me. He has bided his time all those years he knew he was too young for her and now that he’s a man, he unleashes all his magic on that girl and my God, I wanted to grab him through the page and keep him for myself! One would think that I loved him so much that I wouldn’t like Jasmine. You know, territorial feelings and all that, but I really loved her too. She was trying so hard to keep thinking of Sarge as her best friend’s younger brother and that she should stay far, far away. She was so conflicted and I totally got her. She is a strong woman with immense pride and not wanting this town to see her as the cougar trying to ride Sarge’s famous coattails had her trying desperately to back off and keep him at arm’s length. She gave up the perfect amount of fight and gave in at exactly the right time. The push and pull between them was just the right amount and I loved it.

Of course, their road to a happy ending wasn’t without more than a few bumps along the way and the last few chapters had my heart hurting and my stomach sick with worry for these two. They both had very valid reasons for their feelings and it led to uncertainty that I was praying they were able to overcome. Now, I won’t give anything away but I will tell you that in true Tessa fashion, she delivered a hella emotional ending that I loved so much. SO MUCH!

Crashed Out sets up what I can pretty much guarantee is going to be another one of my favorite series. I cannot wait to see what’s next for this band and hope we get to see more of the sinfully sexy Sarge and Jas! Thank you, Tessa, for another delicious read!!

“You know,” he began softly, “there is plenty of room in my closet for you to keep some of your clothes here.”

His comment caught me off guard, and my heart constricted with one hard squeeze before it sped up with an uneven rhythm.

“Uh,” I stammered before closing my mouth, unsure of how to respond.

He inquisitively stared at me as I parted my lips to try again.

“I don’t know.” I blinked in shock. “I think it’s too soon to be thinking about that.”

I glared at him as I backed up to the headboard behind me, increasing the distance between us. I wouldn’t be able to keep my head straight if Damien put his hands on me. My body would willingly cave to his over-the-top demands.

Damien was my weakness and my strength, rolled into one massive wave of passion.

He knelt on the bed and slowly came closer. All the while, the look in his eyes darkened with unmistakable desire.

“What are you doing?” I lifted my right foot and pressed it to his stomach to halt his advance. “Stop right there.” My voice, laced with warning, trailed off as my attention caught on his erection.

Mystery blinked up, looking into his eyes. His expression, so sharp and aware, made her catch her breath. She dropped her gaze to his lips, aching to know what they felt like.

He grabbed a fistful of her hair and tugged, his stare sliding over her, fused to her. Then his lips crashed down onto her own. She gave a cry at the impact.

Axel took her mouth, possessed it. God, she’d been kissed before but not by anyone who could make her feel his touch through her entire body. So I have been dying to read this since I finished Complicate Me and hot damn!! All of these books in this series can be read as a standalone, however, I would highly recommend reading them all in order. M does a fabulous job of building up the next book inside the current book and has you begging for the next book each time.

Lily is Lucas’ baby sister and you all know how possessive Lucas is. Jacob is Lucas’ best friend and he’s always known Lily since she was born. Never her saw her as more than a sister while they were growing up. That is til her mother became ill and needed someone to lean on.

There may be a 7 year difference between them, but she is also Lucas’s baby sister. That’s what Jacob has constantly told himself since he felt more for her. Lily has always loved Jacob since she can remember. The book goes back and forth between the past and present. I love that we get a glimpse of these characters as they are growing up. This adds so much to the plot of the book.

“Hurting you is my biggest regret, loving you is my only redemption.”

I am absolutely loving this series so far. M has a way with her writing that just pulls you into the story and not wanting to put it down. It’s angsty, heartfelt, tension-filled and unforgettable. As I said before, she is able to blend in the build up of the next book so once you hit the epilogue, you are pleading and begging for the next book!!

I took a moment when I was fully inside of her, leaning back
to take a good look at her, wanting to remember her just this way, always. Her
