About TO THE STARS:

In the second standalone book in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams’ Thatch series, Knox Alexander must convince his long-time love Harlow Evans that they’re meant to be together.

He promised to wait for her.
She told him he was wasting his time.
Not waiting for him ended up being the biggest mistake of her life.

When they were younger, Knox Alexander swore to Harlow Evans that he would wait for her to turn eighteen so they could be together. But that was two and a half years away, and Harlow couldn’t ask him to give up all the fun and thrills of going away to college for her. As the years passed, Knox remained a constant in her life but when her eighteenth birthday came around, Harlow’s heart belonged to someone else.

Every day for the last four years, Harlow has been haunted by that fateful choice. And though he may appear unaffected by what happened in their past, Knox has always tried to fill the void Harlow left. But when he comes stumbling back into her life and refuses to leave, will Harlow finally let him into her heart…?

EXCERPT

The conversation that had been taking place continued, and Collin kept his arm around me as he threw himself into it. I tried to do the same.
Five minutes later I was still attempting to understand what was happening—or happened. All I understood so far was that the men were all talking about an old case.
“Still can’t believe the bastard got away with first-degree murder,” one of the men said, and the others all shook their heads and voiced their displeasure.
“Should’ve been capital murder,” Flynn Doherty added.
“What’s the difference?” I asked quietly, and regretted it when a few men laughed, and every pair of eyes in the small group focused on me.
Collin laughed softly and mumbled, “Excuse us for a few minutes. I haven’t had much alone time with my new fiancée.” His hand gripped mine as he practically tugged me across the floor to a corner that wasn’t as busy.
“I can’t walk that fast in these—”
He turned so his face was directly in front of mine, and though his mouth was curved up in a smile, there was something different about it. About him. “Are you fucking kidding me, Harlow?” he hissed.
My eyebrows rose in confusion. “Wait, wha—” My question was cut off when Collin released my hand, only for two of his fingers to dig into a spot on my wrist. The pain was instant and surprising. My mouth popped back open, whether to let out a cry of pain or demand why he was doing this, I didn’t know—but it didn’t matter, he spoke before I could.
“Do not show your pain, Harlow.”
“What?” I asked breathlessly, and gave him a panicked look. “Co—”
“Do not show your pain,” he repeated. His tone was soft, his face still carefully composed. If I weren’t the one on the receiving end of the pain, I would’ve been so sure we were flirting instead, from the look he was giving me. “You know how stupid you are, don’t you?”
Stupid? I thought lamely. The question would have frustrated me if I weren’t trying to keep a straight face while simultaneously wondering how two fingers could cause so much pain. “Wh—”
“You will never embarrass me in front of anyone like that again, and especially not my father or his colleagues. Do you understand?” Collin leaned close and brushed his lips across my neck to whisper, “Do not say another word for the rest of the night.” The words were emphasized by a relief so great it almost felt like the pain had worsened for a split second when he released my wrist. It was clear his words weren’t just a demand—they were a warning.
I never once would have considered myself stupid before … but now I wasn’t sure if I was for obeying his demand the way I did for the rest of the night.

And don’t miss the first book in the Thatch Series…

Author PhotoAbout Molly McAdams:

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she’s not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm … or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren’t really happening.

Soulless by T.M. Frazier……Excerpt Reveal Blitz

soulless excerpt reveal [898891]

Excerpt

“I’ll deal with you when we get back to the house,” Bear snapped, his words loaded with so many different meanings I trembled with both fear and anticipation.

“You’re going to deal with me?” I asked. “How are you going to deal with me?” My attitude and confidence faded with each word until the last was merely a whisper.

“Yes, DEAL with you,” Bear warned, suddenly pausing to take in my appearance. Slowly, from top to bottom, like he’d only just realized I was standing there. His eyelids hung heavy over his sapphire blues as he licked my body with his eyes, drinking me in like he was thirsty.

No, not thirsty.

Hungry.

When he licked his lips I could have sworn he was about to eat me alive. I tingled all over. The awareness of him in such close proximity after so long washed over me. Angry or not, my body didn’t care. I didn’t care. I wanted to reach out and touch his face, reassure him that he had no reason to be angry, but part of me liked that I could draw that kind of reaction from him. He came alive when he was pissed, and something inside me loved that he became this primal possessive beast out to remind me who it was I belonged to.

Bear clenched his jaw and the muscles in his neck tensed and strained. He looked as if he were ready to either kill or fuck. All I knew was that, one way or another, I was about to de devoured.

I pressed my thighs together, trying to manage the pulsing between my legs, but the contact only ignited it further. Bear chuckled and glanced down to where my ankles were crossed. He closed the gap between us in two short strides, taking me off guard. I stumbled backward, tripping over a lose rock in the road. he reached out and roughly grabbed my arm before I could fall, pulling me flush into his hard chest. His warm skin radiated through my thin dress. I bit my lip, suppressing a moan. My legs grew weaker and weaker as he lowered his head, inching closer and closer, until I was sure his lips were going to meet mine, when without warning he released my arm and spun away. “Get in the fucking truck, Ti,” he called back to me.

I stood there, unable to move, and trying to catch my breath while he headed over to King’s truck like that moment never passed between us. When he noticed I wasn’t behind him he growled and stalked back over to me. He grabbed me by the waist, his fingers digging into my skin. He lifted me up, my short dress bunching up over my butt cheeks and slung me over his shoulder like I was a rolled up rug.

Wack.

He slapped my ass with his open palm. Hard. The bite of the smack stung where I was sure he’d left his mark. He tossed me into the truck with a caveman grunt and slammed the door behind me.

I was confused as all hell.

I was so angry.

I was also elated.

I was in lust so hard that I was in physical pain.

I was really fucking angry.

I was head over heels in love.

Motherfucker.

Dante’s Circle Book 7

Humans aren’t as alone as they choose to believe. Every human possesses a trait of supernatural that lays dormant within their genetic make-up. Centuries of diluting and breeding have allowed humans to think they are alone and untouched by magic. But what happens when something changes?

Humans aren’t as alone as they choose to believe. Every human possesses a trait of supernatural that lays dormant within their genetic make-up. Centuries of diluting and breeding have allowed humans to think they are alone and untouched by magic. But what happens when something changes?

Eliana Sawyer’s life was rocked from its foundation twice in as many years. She risked her heart and had it shattered into a thousand pieces when Malik left her with no warning. While she’d normally raise her chin and ignore the pain, she can’t forget what he gave her before he disappeared from her life.

Malik Ward is a prince amongst the lion shifters and knows that one day he will have to take a mate. Only, his people can never mate with humans. Under the mistaken impression that Eliana was only human, he forced himself to leave before they’d crossed a line and he broke his vow to his people. Now that he knows the truth about Eliana, however, it will take more than groveling to win back the one woman fated to be his.

While Eliana and Malik embark on a new sensuous path that might lead to disaster, the realms aren’t ready to allow the final lightning-struck human to be enveloped into their fold. The couple will have to combat those plotting against them, as well as the broken promises and heated emotions they share.

Warning: Contains a Leo with a bite that’s worse than his roar, a woman with one last chance at the life she’s always dreamt of, a flame that could extinguish with the wrong sacrifice, and the final journey in the bestselling Dante’s Circle series.

Luciani Lovers by Stephanie Julian…Series Relaunch

Screenshot 2016-02-10 18.13.22

When I dreamed up the idea for the Lucani Lovers, I started with the thought that I wanted to do a series about werewolves simply because they’ve always fascinated me.

I also knew I wanted to set my stories in my Etruscan Magic world. I already had the mythology laid out for my Darkly Enchanted and Magical Seduction series.

I just needed a few defining factors.

My wolves weren’t cursed. Their ancestors were gifted their ability by the Moon Goddess to help them battle their enemies centuries ago. They later became a secret part of the Roman Legion, the special forces unit. My wolves still run their society on the basis of the Legion and they even have a king.

They have mates but they’re not determined by fate. (Although the Goddess of Fate can be a bit of a bitch.) My wolves fall in love just like the rest of us. Although they tend to have a few more…issues than regular people.

Their enemies, the Malandante, are evil. (Well, almost all of them.) They used to enslave the lucani. That didn’t exactly endear the Mal to the wolves.

The “outside” world doesn’t know about the lucani and the Etruscans. And those that do are part of a very select group.

And now you know. Welcome to the group!

There are six books in the Lucani Lovers series and all are priced at 99 cents until Feb. 15.

Kiss of Moonlight, Book 1

Plagued by nightmares. Stalked by kidnappers. Tamra McMillan needs a safe haven. When tattooed bad-ass Kyle Rossini steps into her life, the last thing she expects to find is a sanctuary from her demons in his arms. Etruscan werewolf Kyle is the king’s assassin with a killer’s instincts. The last thing he needs is a mate who could be placed in danger because of him. Until he meets the one woman who needs him more than he needs his solitude.

Moonlight Ménage, Book 2

For years, Tira Belludi has longed to give herself to the two shifter men who hold her heart. But visions of death and fears for her sanity have forced her to keep her distance. Nic Rocca and Duke Ducati are brothers in every way but blood. They share a home, a job and had planned to share their life with Tira between them…until the night she saw their future and built a fortress around her heart. Now danger and death stalk Nic and Duke. And Tira must make a choice—grab love while she has the chance, or watch Nic die from afar and lose Duke forever.

Edge of Moonlight, Book 3

Shifter Kaine Giliati has longed for John Simmons since he willingly agreed to wipe all memory of her from his mind. The pain in her heart is only magnified by terror—the inability to call her wolf appears to have deserted her, as well. John has been dreaming about a beautiful woman he’s never met but who seems so familiar. A woman he’s shocked to find in a dark bar one night. One erotic, stolen night reopens old wounds, uncovers buried memories and sets Kaine and John on a path filled with danger and potential heartbreak.

Moonlight Temptation, Book 4

Evie Simmons has magical powers she can’t control, she’s living in a house that isn’t hers, and her best friend is a seventeen-year-old werewolf. It’d be hilarious if it weren’t just so damn depressing. Add in the sexy shifter she can’t keep out of her mind and his hot-as-hell friend and it’s a recipe for disaster. Dr. Dane Dimitriou knows Evie is having a hard time adjusting to her new life as part of the Etruscan magical community—almost as difficult as his denial of his feelings for her have been. And he’s got the perfect cure—his best friend, Ryan Maguire. Easygoing Ryan is the complete opposite of stick-up-his-ass Dane. He can act as a buffer. Dane can get close, but not too close. Yeah, good luck with that.

Grace in Moonlight, Book 5

As the werewolf king’s seasoned tracker, Kaisie Giliati hunts his prey with single-minded focus and never loses his quarry. He’s honed his skills for decades but the nature of his job has made for a lonely life. Only his daughter has ever had a claim on his heart. Until he meets the one woman he should never want. Grace Bellasario has done some awful things in her life…all for the safety of her children. But now she has a target on her back and she’s in love for the first time in her life. With a man who should hate her.

Shades of Moonlight, Book 6

Race Aragon knows Mara Marrucini is meant to be his. And he’s not about to let anyone or anything get in his way of protecting her and her baby. As a soldier in the shifter king’s army, he knows exactly how to make her safe. Mara has been betrayed by men all her life and trust isn’t easy for her. Race is the first man to make her feel like a woman. His touch ignites her desire but she fears for his safety. Her presence in his life puts him in the crosshairs. But with her son’s life on the line, Mara trusts no one but Race to keep them alive.

Kiss of Moonlight, Second Chapter Excerpt

Even though twilight had fallen, she could still see him plainly in the light of the full moon. Moonlight suited him. It softened his hard edges. She wanted to run her hands along that shadowed jaw and across that broad chest, sink her fingers into his hair.

Still standing by his chair on the other side of the table, he walked around to her, holding out his hand.

Without thought, she reached for him, watching his lips curl into a devastating smile as he drew her to her feet. Only inches separated them, inches she wanted to close.

They stood like that for what had to be a full minute, staring into each other’s eyes like they were starring in a Lifetime TV movie.

It should’ve embarrassed her. Or at the very least, made her self-conscious. At worst, she should be running in fear in the opposite direction.

It emboldened her to know she wasn’t scared at all.

Instead, she leaned a little closer, drawn by the warmth of his eyes, the heat of his body.

Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me kept chanting through her brain.

As if he’d heard her thoughts, his smile faded and desire turned to sharp, biting hunger in her gut.

Then he blinked and began to pull back, shaking his head. “Tam…”

No, no, no.

Fevered compulsion made her curve her hand around the back of his neck as she rose on her tiptoes. She shouldn’t have been able to reach his mouth, the top of her head barely reached his shoulder. But he met her halfway, his short groan cut off when their lips met. He pressed hard, his lips firm and hot on hers, his arms wrapping around her back and plastering her to his body.

She moaned, wanting more, but he immediately eased his hold, ratcheted back some of the passion she sensed in his kiss and let her take the lead. Let her press against him. As if he was afraid of scaring her.

But that wasn’t what she wanted. She wanted him to kiss her. Really kiss her until she lost herself in him. Buried old, horrible memories under an avalanche of lust.

So she forced him closer, wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed him harder.

Letting her tongue lick at the seam of his lips, she teased until he opened his mouth. She would’ve thrust inside but he beat her to it, finally starting to loosen his hold on his leashed desire.

His hands flattened on her back, each finger a hot brand through her thin t-shirt. The tips pressed into her back for several seconds before easing up to rest there lightly.

Don’t stop. More.

9 Letter by Blake Austin….Excerpt Reveal Blitz

9 letters excerpt reveal [897893]

Excerpt

As soon as the word left my mouth, Rae’s face opened up and she was smiling over at me and it was like I was falling in towards her. When she was happy, I got vertigo. All those happy brain chemicals just took over and I was lost in bliss.

“Get out of my rescue, Luke Cawley,” she said.

“Will do,” I replied, scooping up King’s leash and opening the door again. But before we stepped out, Rae’s voice came after me.

“Hey Luke, you want to hook up sometime?” she asked. I turned around, probably looked startled. Sometimes I’m smooth, sometimes I’m not. “I mean, I could help you with King. At the dog park or something. You get a dog tired enough, he won’t rip up the house.”

She smiled. Clearly this was a professional courtesy she was extending, right? But I still couldn’t help feeling like it might do me and King both some good to see Rae again.

“I uh, lost your number,” I said. Sounded a lot nicer than ‘I threw it away while I was cleaning my house.’ I took out my phone. “I’ll just put it into my phone this time. Rae, right? What’s your last name?” I made a new contact.

“Goode,” she said.

I’d remember that. I didn’t have the best memory, but I remember what’s important. I decided I couldn’t let it be a sign, though. It was just a last name. Totally wasn’t a sign. I’m too grown up to believe in things like that.

I tapped in her number, texted her so she had mine, then I reached down, pet King on the head once more, and left the shelter with my dog in tow, feeling pretty good after all was said and done.

Weighing In….Historical Fiction for the MTV Generation

Weighing In

Introducing: Weighing In

Here at Read-Love-Blog sometimes we come across a book, idea, or concept that catches our interest and, even though we may not have the time to review it just yet, we want to share our thoughts with all of you.  This is how the new feature “Weighing In” was born! Our very first Weighing In is from blogger/reviewer Stacey and takes a look at music romance anthologies.  We hope you enjoy!

80s Mix Tape cover

Historical Fiction for the MTV Generation

I follow a lot of authors on social media and sometimes things slip past me because of sheer volume, but when something catches my eye it’s because it’s got a hook I like. Or it’s something new and fresh. So when I saw romance anthologies set in the 1980s and 1990s, I was all ears. That’s my time, people. I’ve worn leggings and white pumps with Flashdance-style sweatshirts. I may be personally responsible for part of the hole in the ozone layer because of my Aqua Net habit in the 80s.

The other thing about these New Adult anthologies that sparked my interest is that many of the stories are centered around music. In fact, each story is inspired by a song from its respective decade. I love this idea.

I have children ranging in age from six to twelve and I daresay that this age group will probably be called the YouTube generation. This is where they discover music or go to watch videos. My oldest only knows about MTV because of Teen Wolf. MTV was the place to go for music in the 80s and 90s. I remember when MTV first aired—it was revolutionary! Music was a big part of growing up. MTV and music were to me what SnapChat and Vine are to today’s kids. So romance anthologies inspired by and (sometimes) set in the world of music? Yes, please! Let the good times roll.

‘80s Mix Tape was oh-my-god all kinds of fun! Since the stories are inspired by songs from the 1980s, the novella titles were chock-full of cuteness and cleverness: 867-5309, Kickstart My Heart, London Calling. Stories range from a rock-n-roll photographer with an assignment to follow around the hottest band of the moment that’s helmed by an ex who wants a second chance with her, to a Harley-riding heavy metal lead guitarist getting friendly with a video vixen, to a woman taking guitar lessons from the hotter and younger musician who serves her lunch while he waits to hit the big time. There are eight stories in this anthology and each of them has their own unique charm. Fun, fun, fun!

‘90s Playlist has six stories inspired by music with college-age couples. More great titles in this set including Smells Like Teen Spirit and Little Red Thong. Here you’ll read stories about raves, the grunge movement, semesters abroad, and the almighty Spring Break.

If you enjoy these anthologies and want more romance set in the not-too-distant past or inspired by the music you grew up on, check out Come Undone: Romance Stories Inspired by the Music of Duran Duran. I mean, aren’t we all Hungry Like the Wolf for more?

Wicked Sexy Liar by Christina Lauren…Review

WSL Cover

Synopsis:

When three college besties meet three hot guys in Vegas, anything can—and does—happen. Book Four in the New York Times Wild Seasons series that began with Sweet Filthy Boy (the Romantic Times book of the year that Sylvia Day called “a sexy, sweet treasure of a story”), Dirty Rowdy Thing, and Dark Wild Night.

For two people ambivalent about dating and love, they sure get naked around each other an awful lot . . .

London Hughes is very content to surf daily, tend bar, hang out with her group of friends, and slowly orient herself in the years after college. Everything’s going great and according to the non-plan.

But when a wave knocks her for a loop one morning, then Luke Sutter’s flirtatious smile knocks her for another that evening, she veers slightly off course…and into his path. Sure, he’s a total player, but the Why not—it’s only one night is a persistent voice in her ear.

For his part, Luke’s been on hookup autopilot for so long that he rarely ever pauses to consider what he’s doing. But after an amazing time with London, he realizes that he hasn’t been moving on from a devastating heartbreak so much as he’s been drifting to wherever—and whomever—the current takes him. With London he wants more.

Every relationship involves two people…plus their pasts. And as much as she enjoys her fling with Luke, when London learns about his past—more specifically, who’s in it—everything becomes the brand of complicated she strives to avoid. It’s up to Luke then to change some things in order to try and ensure he’s not something she’ll outright avoid as well.

My Review:

Wicked Sexy Liar is the fourth book in the Wild Seasons series by the dynamic duo of Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings, two writers I am a HUGE fan of. Luke and London’s story was another testament to how amazing I find their characters and their writing.  I loved everything about this book from start to finish and was, as always, so sad to have finished it.

Luke and London travel in the same friend circle.  London is new to the crew while Luke, on the other hand, has quite a bit of history with them…and by that I mean he had pretty much spent his entire youth in love with one of the gals in their group.  Not a big deal, per se, since time has gone by and he has somewhat moved on.  The normal progression of life and growing up and all that jazz.  All was going well until things get a bit hot and heavy between Luke and London.  What started out as a deal for a one night sort of thing starts to get serious which wouldn’t be so terrible if London had known Luke’s love life history and who it was with.  Suddenly Luke goes from being a potential friends-with-benefits-turned-more into way off-limits.  The problem was, both Luke and London had started to develop some pretty intense feelings for each other and it wasn’t going to be an easy task to stay away from each other.  Now Luke just had to convince London to give him, and what they’ve found, a chance…

Now comes the challenge I run into when I review any Christina Lauren book…not just repeating “buy this book” a hundred times!  There is just so much to love about Luke and London.  I think the thing I loved most about both of them is how vulnerable they are under their exteriors.  Luke is used to keeping things pretty light after his heart was broken. He uses woman for pleasure and has been ok with it up until now.  Enter London.  She’s also had her heart-broken but instead of going the route Luke did, she’s been avoiding men at the risk of another round of hurt.  I couldn’t fault either of them for the way they dealt with that kind of heartache. I wanted them to get a happy ever after so terribly! I loved them together and I loved Luke’s fight for London.  He was so kind and gentle with her.  He saw right to the heart of her and he had me swooning more times than I can count! He is, hands down, one of my favorite book guys for how damn sweet he is.  It only added to his sexiness.

Christina and Lauren have such a gift in how they write their characters.  Truly.  From Luke’s stories of his childhood with his sister, London’s guarded emotions, the nicknames Luke calls London, the quirky dinner with Luke and his family, Luke and London’s babysitting evening to his aversion to eating two pop tarts at a time…few people can give so much depth to the people in the pages as they do.  I am always in awe when I dive into one of their books.

Thank you Christina and Lauren for once again writing an amazing story…and for once again giving me a book hangover. (Oh, and I’m totally skipping right over the fact that this in the last book in the series.  It’s ok though because I will always look forward to what’s next from these authors.)

Oh! And I have to note that I’ve been listening to Ra Ra Riot’s song “Water” on freaking repeat because it reminds me so much of Luke and London and their story and I can’t get enough!!

Lauren Billings
(but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. These days you’ll probably find her on tumblr. She is married and absolutely not old enough to be the mom of a 15 year old (right??), thinks she’s the luckiest person in the world to write books with her best friend, and is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter. She also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.

Find on Goodreads

Drama. Lies. Sex.

Welcome to Palm South University.

The weather isn’t the only thing heating up in South Florida. At a school where fraternities and sororities don’t exactly play by the rules, relationships are bound to be tested. Parties and sex are definitely key ingredients in the Palm South recipe, but what happens when family issues, secret lives, and unrequited love get tossed in the mix?

Follow Cassie, Bear, Jess, Skyler, Erin, Ashlei, and Adam as they tackle college at a small, private beach town university. Written in television drama form, each episode of this serial will pull you deeper and deeper into the world of PSU.

Where the sun is hot and the clothes are scarce, anything can happen.

After I finish my first drink and order another, I wander up to the group of guys at the pool table. We play for a little over an hour, drawing an even larger crowd because – clearly – we’re the most fun this joint has seen in a while. I’m cozied up and working on one of the hottest guys in the group when he informs me he has a fiancé.
Wow.
Buzz Killington, ladies and gentlemen.
I hang out with the group a little longer, hoping to move on to a new prospect, but they all head out before I have a chance to seal the deal with any of Mr. I’m-Engaged-But-You-Don’t-Need-To-Know-That-Until-It’s-Clear-You-Expect-To-Sleep-With-Me’s friends. Sighing, I take my place in the same barstool as before and Jarrett slides a fifth drink my way.
I hold up my hands. “I should probably say no this time. It’s almost closing time and I need to drive.”
“Not necessarily,” he offers. I eye him curiously and the corner of his mouth pulls up mischievously. He finishes wiping down a glass and hangs it above his head before leaning across the bar, his minty breath tickling my drunken senses. “You’ve been trying all night to get with that douchebag when I could have told you from the beginning that he wasn’t available. And now, you’re left with an ache between your legs that you don’t want to take care of on your own. So yes, you could drive home, get up and go to work tomorrow and just try again another night. Or,” he pauses, licking his bottom lip and dragging his teeth across the top as his eyes fall to my mouth. “You could give me your keys, jump in my truck, and let me take you back to my place so I can cure you of your current situation.”
Oh hell to the fucking yes.
Keeping my eyes locked on his, I fish my keys from my purse and drop them on the counter, cocking a brow. Jarrett bites his lip as he grabs the keys and shoves them in his pocket.
“Give me five.”
Four and a half minutes later, we’re tangled up in the back seat of his truck. I run my hands down his incredibly cut abdomen and lift his shirt up and over his head as he pulls the straps of my dress down over my shoulders. His lips are hard on mine and his hands run the length of my body until they grip my hips so hard I’m not sure if I should cry out in pain or pleasure.
“Are you sure you don’t want to go back to my place?” he pants, kissing down my neck. My eyes roll back and a moan escapes my lips.
“I think I’d rather see how all that talk holds up in the back of a truck.”
Kandi Steiner is a Creative Writing and Advertising/Public Relations graduate from the University of Central Florida living in Tampa with her husband. Kandi works full time as a social media specialist, but also works part time as a Zumba fitness instructor and blackjack dealer.
Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a diehard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).
When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.
