A few weeks of kids having friends over nonstop, carpool lines, wife duties, studying and taking care of a husband who recently got injured- this book was such a wonderful break from reality! Honestly if I saw Natasha Madison any moment in time, I would hug her and say thank you! I am so thankful that Hollywood Prince was not a dull book because I really needed to escape the world, relax and just take a moment.

I wish I could find the right words for Carter Johnson, hot Hollywood actor, because I wanted automatically to hate him but just couldn’t. Often an author will write that the character is “charming” but with Natasha Madison, Carter’s charm was alive, in person as if he was right there in the same room with me. When Natasha wrote a quick-witted joke, I laughed out loud; when he smirks, I visualized the smirked; when she wrote his pain, I felt the pain.

The same goes for Erin. I am telling you there is a scene in this book that is so heartbreaking and every single second of that heartbreak I felt! It was sad but amazing.

Carter and Erin are a feisty, passionate couple that I routed for. They are endearing and entertaining. That would be the best way to sum up this book for me; enduring and entertaining- well add in some really hot scenes too *wink -wink! I am truly happy, after having little time to read this past few months, that this was one of my first books to pick up. Amazing!!!!!!!

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

While the characters from Eighty-One Nights are entirely new, their storyline is a combination of fresh material and carefully selected themes, scenes, and settings from The Beauty Series, The Sin Trilogy, Dear Agony, and Indulge. This is intentional. I chose some of my favorite elements from previous releases and interjected them into Hutch and Lou’s story. Let’s call it a “story fusion” between our old favorites and new material. This work was briefly released under a pen name and was titled The Girlfriend Experience.

He stops eating and looks at me. “I’d never degrade you by calling you a whore.”

I can almost see the wheels turning in Hutch’s head. “You’re my whore?”

“My whore.” He grins. “I don’t think that I’m supposed to like that, but I do.”

He reaches out for my hand and brings it to his mouth, kissing it. “You never cease to amaze me.”

I was a tad hesitant on how much I would enjoy this one. I love that Georgia was upfront with how she came about this idea but I still have some small reservations that it would be pulled off well. And boy was I wrong.

Do not go into this with any pretenses on what you have read before. I can assure you, whatever you are thinking, it’s not what happens in this book.

Max (Hutch) is a widow but his heart is not where one would think it is. Max is struggling to move forward in his life, but in ways no one can imagine. He holds a lot of secrets from everyone in his life and he has his reasons. But those secrets are also preventing him from being able to be himself in life.

Cait (Lou) is struggling to find a way for her last upcoming year in college. She’s found herself in a bit a pinch with money until her best friend lets her on in a little secret. A secret that will forever change Cait’s life – for better or worse.

Max and Cait meet in one of the most unusual ways but nothing about their lives is normal. So it’s only fitting that they meet this way. Their “girlfriend arrangement” meets both their needs and they follow the expectations set for one another. While Cait has her reservations on certain things, they both come to agreement that they both can agree upon.

I have to say – this story was so much more than I had expected. And I loved every for it. I love the interactions, the secondary characters, the nuances they learn about one another and the agreement to always say what they are thinking. And the sex in this book – WOW!! There was a lot more than I had anticipated but it definitely did not hurt the overall plot of this story. If anything, it only help serve the purpose and the deepening of the relations between Max and Cait.

Since this is a duet, I knew to expect a cliffy. While it’s definitely one I saw coming, I am still anxious to see what happens next. There are still some secrets that have not been spilt and some underlying problems that I am anxious to see play out.

Georgia Cates has definitely delivered on he promise of giving us a “story infusion” by blending the old with the new and giving us a story that we soon won’t forget.

Cipher threw out a hand to warn Lyre off. His control sucked, which he proved as a fireball shot at her from the palm of his hand.

Fire engulfed her, demon-faced flames that laughed and bit at her. No! Oh, shit. He felt her screams all the way to his gut as she fell to the ground and writhed in violent agony,

“Soretay! Stop!” He yelled commands in Sheoulic as he rushed toward her, but his words were useless.

He dove on top of her, covering her with his body. He tried to wrap his ugly-ass wings around her, but the fuckers didn’t behave, instead fanning the flames, beating the both of them as they flapped uselessly.

Then, for no reason he could figure out, the shrieking apparitions flickered out. Lyre went limp beneath him, her exhausted, panting breaths puffing hot air against his neck.

“Wow,” she rasped. “That was unexpected.”

He pushed himself up on one arm and looked down at her. Scorch marks streaked her face and her clothes were singed. The hemline of her shirt was completely gone, leaving her flat belly exposed, a smudge of soot forming a crescent under her navel.

He wanted to clean it off with his tongue. Too bad she was playing for the wrong team.
