If Jewel writes, I will read it (that is totally said in my head like the famous Field of Dreams quote).

I feel like I say this with every book she writes (and I probably do) but I don’t think there is ever a story of hers that I do not immensely enjoy and find myself completely absorbed by.

All of her stories are absolutely addictive with their story lines. But these last two books have just been on another level with the emotions.

I freaking love Maren; I love everything about her. Ozzy – what can I say – he’s on another level when it comes to single dads. These two together – perfection in so many ways.

I loved the progression of this story. It felt so natural, so real. Jewel delivers an amazing story that is filled with laughs, some angst and alot of emotion that will just pull at your heart.

From Nowhere is another phenomenal story that will stay with me a long time.

Lots of new-to-me authors recently and I am loving it!!

Why has no one told me about this author before now?!?! Maggie Cole, you have just earned yourself a new fangirl!!

This series is apparently a spin-off from another series she wrote, but I can tell you I had no idea and you need zero prior knowledge to absolutely enjoy this book.

Bride by Initiation is an intriguing and gripping dark mafia/secret society romance. Sean and Zara are both on a quest to find out about each of their father’s secrets and it takes them down a path neither anticipated.

Maggie has written a brilliant story with an engaging plot, great characters with a storyline that flows at the perfect pace. I love the story plays out in perfect timing and she blends the dark with the suspense and romance in such a spectacular way that you can’t out the book down.

I devoured this book in one sitting and has left me wanting more about this whole secret society and what is to come in future books. Zara and Sean get their ending but you know there is more to come with others.

Definitely go buy this one!

I have never read anything by Ashley before and was pleasantly surprised with this book. After finishing this book, I did a bit more research on Ashley because I wanted to see what other books she had out and was even more surprised to see that she’s a fairly new author (first published in 2023 and this is her fourth release). This is a great start to a new series by Ashley Elizabeth. This is labeled as a dark romance, however, I would say the only “dark” parts are what Scarlett endures and everything else is more on the suspense side. This would be perfect for anyone looking to dip their toes into dark romance.

I won’t go into any specifics or details about this book because I feel like readers will enjoy this book more without knowing much more than the blurb. This story does surround Leo and Scarlett and how their lives are intertwined once again.

Broken in the Dark is very fast paced with some twists and turns that keeps readers right at the edge the entire time. I did figure things out fairly early on, but that did not really hinder my enjoyment of this book. And while there were some things that bothered me (few character inconsistencies) they too did not hurt the overall vibe of this story.

I highly recommend this story. It’s a great way to dip your toes into dark romance and dark romance lovers will appreciate the story itself with how things play out.

I fucking love chocolate sauce,” he says in a low, quiet voice. I look up and find his eyes fixed on the tip of my finger.

I hold my finger out to him, and he leans forward, grabs my wrist, and sucks my finger into his mouth.
I gasp at the hot rasp of his tongue as he twirls it around my finger, and his eyes flick up to meet mine. And if the naked heat in them hadn’t nearly given me an arrhythmia, the sensation of his lips closing over it and sucking would certainly have.

Hunky Heartbreaker

I pulled up behind them on the shoulder, my headlights flooding the backseat. The rain was pouring harder than ever, but at that point, I didn’t care. I had to see her, had to talk to her, had to let her know how I felt.
I climbed out of my truck and jogged the few short yards between our cars, yanking the backseat door open and tumbling in. Valentina cursed loudly in Spanish, turning and looking like she was ready to smack me all the way to next Tuesday.
