Lifelong best friends James Laird and Lola Caraway are reunited when Lola moves to LA after college. Lola is starting her new life, new job, and a new romance with a successful lawyer–a relationship which forces James to question the nature of his feelings for Lola.
James has always been a master at pleasuring women, so it was an easy transition to play a Master on-screen in a series of BDSM videos which have brought him fame and the promise of a lucrative career.
The films have also brought him the attention of hardcore producer Eva Satana, who wants James to be a ruthless Dominant -for real- in her brutal and extreme BDSM scenes. James soon finds himself caught in a contract he cannot break and compelled by threats to the woman who’s stood by him through everything.
There’s no way out…unless James bends to Eva’s twisted demand: seduce his virginal best friend and capture it on tape for her depraved audience. Can their friendship survive desire, deception, and one pissed off dominatrix?
Their decisions will decide who will be free and who will be
CAPTURED.
James’ Interview:
What’s the difference between porn sex and real-life sex for you?
In real life, you don’t have to worry about camera angles and stuff. I can be more in the moment, and I can concentrate on the girl a lot more. Porn sex is really exaggerated, all about putting on a good show, so you can’t really connect with your partner in the same way you can in real life.
Most people would feel pretty self-conscious being naked in a crowded room, but that’s what you do for a living. What makes you embarrassed?
I remember when I was in school, Lola used to proof a lot of my papers. She was two grades under me, but she was super smart, and I was always a little embarrassed when she’d lecture me about how I should have paid more attention in class so I wouldn’t get such crappy grades.
Do you watch your own porn movies?
I’ll usually check them out when they’re released. Porn doesn’t really turn me on anymore, though, so I usually watch them like an athlete watches game footage. I want to see where I could improve, see how I could step my game up.
Do you ever find it difficult to “perform” on set?
Sometimes it’s harder than others—no pun intended. I find that picturing something really hot that I’ve done in my past works pretty well. Thankfully, I’ve had some pretty wild experiences, so I’ve got a lot to pull from.
Chocolate or vanilla?
Neapolitan. Gotta have some variety.
Boxers or briefs?
Commando, baby! Commando.
Sound or noise that you love?
It’s a tie. I love to hear a girl moaning my name, but I think my favorite sound might be Lola laughing.
Sound or noise that you hate?
Crying—particularly if it’s someone I love who’s doing the crying.
Blond or brunette?
I’m partial to brunettes, but honestly, hair color isn’t important. I don’t care what color your hair is if you have a sexy vibe.
Favorite position?
I’m a big fan of cowgirl, but missionary is a classic, so I love that one too.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Lola. Without a doubt.

Steele Brothers 1 Night Stand Series at Amazon
Madame Eve Power…
When I first read a 1NS book, I was hooked.
The premise is simple. The mysterious Madame Eve owns an exclusive online dating service. She hooks up two people for one evening — a one night stand. The encounters can take place all over the world, and many occur at Castillo Resorts and Hotels – a luxurious chain scattered throughout the country. At the end of the encounter, the hero and heroine fall for each other and decide to continue the relationship.
Each story is completely unique and different. My fingers itched and my brain exploded with ideas of how I can bring my own voice to this wonderful series.
So, I did.
I created three hot brothers – the Steele brothers — who all were dealers in Vegas. Two of them are Doms, one is a sub. Each of them fell in love hard with three very different women, and their journeys are as unique as this entire series.
Why are so we enchanted with Madame Eve?
First, she’s a matchmaker. She senses when two people are meant to be together, no matter what the odds, or even if they fight every step along the way. Watching characters struggle with their innermost demons and fall to love is pure magic. Second, she guarantees great sex. Every. Time. As a reader, that’s the kind of story I love to read – whether it’s on the sweeter side, or hard core. Third, she is a mystery. We never meet her other than via text or email since there is no phone calls. Fourth and finally, we can trust her. She will always bring us the perfect match, whether the hero or heroine know it or not. The reader has a secret when we pick up a 1NS story. We know the ending — but the journey is all the fun.
If you like a good BDSM story that’s short and super hot, pick up one of my Steele Brother stories – Catch Me, Play Me, and Dare Me.
There’s two more to go…two men the Steele men grew up with, took in, and adopted as brothers. And I think they may have an important story to tell!
Happy Anniversary to Decadent’s 1NS!
~Jen
About the author:
I’ve always wanted to be a writer. At twelve, I took a pen in hand and wrote my first love story. I haven’t stopped since. Those heroines taught me valuable lessons that served me well. I learned to keep my head up high and surge forward when I was afraid; I learned to demand respect in a relationship; I learned about compromise and dreams and independence. Those are the stories I want to write, and I can only hope I give back some of the joy I received over the years.
I live in the beautiful Hudson Valley in upstate New York. I’ve traveled to many places but always seem to be drawn back to the mountains. I graduated with a business degree, worked for Mercy College, and now spend most days dedicated to my family and my characters. I’ve pursued many career paths such as travel agent, yoga teacher and insurance salesperson. I’ve wanted to be an airline pilot, a dancer, an archaeologist, and a vineyard owner. I have been all of the above through romance novels, and intend to explore many more.
One of my turning points in my career was when I joined Romance Writers of America and met the wonderful people in my local chapter, The Hudson Valley RWA. Through supportive critique sessions, I learned how to develop my raw skills to get a publishable manuscript. I discovered my tendency for wordy prologues and passive phrases that all new writers work through, and now try to help others on their journey.
My “leisure time” is spent writing, reading, and raising two active boys. I believe animals are the other children in this world, and enjoy spending time at the local animal shelter, where I got my first “baby” Bella, a shepherd hound mix who gets into as much trouble as my son! I rescued my second dog from an abusive home, a beagle, basset hound who is the peacemaker in the household.
I met the love of my life when I had finally given up on my own romantic journey. The first time he asked me out he promised to buy my book if he could buy me dinner. We had dinner and fell in love over sushi and haven’t been apart since. We married and settled into domestic bliss. That’s when I learned it wasn’t about happy endings. It was about happy beginnings.

Where There’s Smoke by Donna Kauffman
Synopsis:
When flames from a recipe gone disastrously wrong send hunky fire fighter Will Mason to pretty Clara Parker’s rescue, the sparks really begin to fly! And once Will gets a taste of Clara, he aches for more than just a little sugar from the famously single food columnist…
My review:
Talk about a fantastic start to this hot and sexy anthology! Where There’s Smoke combined a hot and sexy firefighter, a clumsy-yet-adorable newspaper columnist and a long lost friendship for a delicious first course. Clara Parker isn’t having the best luck, but then again, that’s nothing new. Always the slightly awkward and clumsy one out of her trio of girlfriends, she is used to things not necessarily going her way, but this week has really been epically bad. Dumped by her love interest and having to write a column on baking to save her job, Clara is at her wits end. But when she runs into Will, a guy she hasn’t seen since he moved away suddenly years ago and a guy she’s held a flame for, things seem to start looking up. Well, until she almost burns her house down baking for her column. Luckily, Will is a firefighter waiting to save a damsel in distress. And Clara is just the damsel he’s been dreaming about saving since he left all those years ago.
This story totally rocked my socks off! The heat and build up between Clara and Will is phenomenal. Will is an amazing character….cut to the chase and open and honest. I loved him. Clara is so cute and quirky and just so real! Together they balance each other out and cause enough heat for more than a few sirens to go off!
The Gingerbread Man by Kate Angell
Synopsis:
Folks have always told fun-loving Abby Denton that her anatomically correct Gingerbread cookies are…impressive. But those erotic cookies have nothing on the sexy stranger Abby saves from a snowy country road. Could Lander Reynolds be the Christmas treat she’s truly been longing for?
My review:
The most emotional and intense in the story, in my opinion…. The Gingerbread Man was a meaningful and savory middle course. Abby has kept her X-rated gingerbread men hidden from the townspeople, and she intends to keep it that way…but when a handsome stranger breezes in to the cookie swap and buys a box of those secret cookies, she has no idea what’s in store for her. Lander can’t believe his eyes…what exactly are on those gingerbread men? He also can’t believe his eyes when he wakes up in the cabin of a beautiful stranger…clearly injured, he must have had an accident. The last thing he can remember was a glace at those peculiar cookies.
What started out as an innocent story turned into an emotional journey dealing with loss and the holidays for both Abby and Lander. I adored Lander and Abby sharing their family memories while being snowed in and the bond they built because of their feelings of loss. It was truly a beautiful tale that had me crying more than once. In the end, Abby and Lander prove that wishes can come true.
Sugar And Spice by Kimberly Kincaid
Synopsis:
When caterer Lily Callahan goes up against hotshot pastry chef Pete Mancuso in the bake-off of the season, the stakes are high – and scandalously passionate. Will the gorgeous gourmand steal Lily’s heart – and the top prize in the Christmas cookie competition?
My review:
I always say the dessert is the best course, and Sugar and Spice was deliciously delectable and exactly the ending I craved. Lily Callahan has always dreamed of owning her own bakery. So when she sees a chance to win a good chunk of change in the local bake-off of the holiday season, she knows this is what she needs to make her dreams a reality. Pete Mancuso, for years, has dreamed of creating his sugary confections at the most exclusive restaurant in the area. So when he sees a chance to gain the notoriety in the local bake-off of the holiday season, he knows this is what he needs to make his dreams a reality. Both Lily and Pete are fighting for their dreams and fighting to both honor and hide theirs pasts. They also soon realize they are fighting their attraction to one another. Will they be able to focus on the heat in the kitchen and not in their desires for each other?
Oh yum, Pete Mancuso is not at all what I would think of a pastry chef as. He’s daring and cocky and delicious bad-boy but with a heart of gold and a soft side I never saw coming. Lily is genuine and has a beautiful spirit and sense of family and self. Combined, they both are similar and different in equal amounts and it was a brilliant combo. Lily, the strict, rule following, outlining gal and Pete the bold, risk taking, original guy make a pair that’s hard to beat. It’s the perfect sweet and salty combination that make up a taste meant to be savored.
Four Loves For All
Interview with Pete Mancuso the Pastry Chef from Sugar and Spice:
So, Pete, how are things in Pine Mountain?
Great, actually! Lily and I just chose the shop front where The Sweet Life is going to go down on Main Street, and of course we’re already having, um, lively discussions about the menu. (Flashes a smirk) Suffice it to say, we might go with a his-and-hers theme. You know, a little sugar, a little spice. We’re hoping to have the place open by late summer (hint: if you keep your eyes open nice and wide, you might see it in Gimme Some Sugar, coming in June 2014!)
Have you and Lily come up with any delicious cookie recipes together?
Of course! She still hates to wing it, but every once in a while I can convince her to step outside the box a little. Usually it works.
(Lily pokes her head into the interview to lift her eyebrows at Pete) Uh-huh. Emphasis on the usually. Ask him about the chocolate covered bacon debacle.
(Pete laughs) Hey, that would’ve worked if you’d let me figure out the right ratios!
(Lily makes a face and shakes her head before kissing Pete on her way out the door)
(Pete grins) Anyway, yeah. It’s always an adventure in our kitchen.
I absolutely love what you did with Lucas and you gained some major bonus points with me……have you seen any more of him and is he doing well?
Yup and yup! Lily and I go hang out with Lucas at the community center once a week. He’s really interested in food, so he got an after school job at Joe’s Grocery. Once the bakery opens, we’ll keep him busy there too. (hint: keep your eyes open for Lucas in the Pine Mountain series…especially in Stirring Up Trouble, coming in October 2014!)
Quick…..what was the last dessert you ordered in a restaurant that you adored?
(Grinning) Funny you should ask! To celebrate getting our store front, I took Lily to L’Orangerie. It was one of Conrad Le Clerc’s last days there, but he made us these truly insane double-chocolate tartlets with homemade vanilla bean ice cream and raspberry reduction sauce. I seriously couldn’t have made them any better.
Oh, and speaking of restaurants….did you ever get into trouble for “borrowing” a bit of that Remy Martin XO?
Gee, Jillian, I don’t know what you could be talking about! I would never do such a thing (Big. Fat. Smile.)
Ok, now for a little fun with “this or that”…..
Chocolate sauce or whipped cream? Yes! (don’t make me pick. Please!)
Boxers or briefs? Now this one, I’ll pick. Boxers
Batman or Superman? Man of steel, baby! I’d kill to be able to fly. Also, bulletproof. Enough said.
Fancy night out or cozy night in? (chuckling) Either one is fine by me, as long as I’ve got Lily by my side.
Thanks Pete, and Lily, for stopping by!

Facade by Nyrae Dawn….An Interview with Adrian
Happy Thursday!
Ok….I am BEYOND excited to have Nyrae Dawn here on the blog and be able to bring you a recent interview she had with Adrian from Facade.
*dreamy sigh*
Oh, and I am also giving away an eCopy of Facade to one lucky winner. Enter in the rafflecopter below.
Nyrae: Hey, I’d like to thank Jillian for inviting Adrian and I to her blog today. I thought it would be fun to get to dig around in Adrian’s head a bit…
Adrian: Wait. This was your idea? I thought it was Jillian’s.
Nyrae: Um…well…
Adrian: Because my book wasn’t enough torture. I see how you are.
Nyrae: Hey! It wasn’t torture. It led you to—
Adrian: Laney…yeah, I can’t regret anything that led me to her.
Nyrae: Aww, that was sweet. Since you mentioned Laney, let’s talk about her a little bit. What is it about Laney that you love so much?
Adrian: rolls eyes You’re killin’ me here, Nyrae. I think that’s sort of a ridiculous question. What is it about her? I don’t think that’s something a person can put into words.
Nyrae: Well if anyone can do it, I think it would be you. The poetry you write is incredible.
Adrian: Shit. I never should have let you in on that piece of information about me… About Laney, I guess it’s just the way she makes me feel. She made me feel good when there hadn’t been a whole lot of it in my life. Because she’s good. She’s been through hell and back but she doesn’t let herself see the world negatively because of it. That takes a special kind of person. I sure as hell couldn’t do it before her. Let’s be real, I still don’t always but she makes me want to see things differently. She makes me want to keep going despite the fact that there’s so much darkness out there. shifts uncomfortably in seat
Nyrae: See? I knew you could do it. She’s a very lucky girl.
Adrian: Nah, I’m the lucky one. But I’m also going to throw in the fact that she’s gorgeous as hell, too. I don’t want to miss that one.
Nyrae: laughs Of course. We wouldn’t want anyone to think you’re all heart in there Adrian. Speaking of heart, I have to admit that’s one of my favorite things about you. You might not see it, but you do the same things Laney does. You’ve lived through some horrible things but you have a poet’s heart. There’s more to you inside than people see on the surface.
Adrian: Yeah, the whole “façade” thing. You got real creative on the title there, Nyrae.
Nyrea: Hey! Don’t tease me! It fit.
Adrian: I’m just giving you shit. So what was your question?
Nyrae: I guess I want to know about your writing. What it does for you.
Adrian: I think I kind of described that in the book. What does your writing do for you? It gives an outlet. We all know I’ve had a fucked-up life. There was so much shit inside me that needed to be free but it didn’t have a way out. It was trapped, locked away but then…I don’t even know how it happened but the pen became my key. That key was the only way to unlock my feelings, to get them out of me, even if I was only leaving them on paper. I sure as hell couldn’t talk about it. Definitely not about Ash and when I was a kid…I guess I thought I didn’t have a voice.
Nyrae: Holy crap you are hot. Laney didn’t stand a chance. A guy as gorgeous as you and who talks like that? Wow…
Adrian: winks That’s what all the girls say.
Nyrae: LOL. I’m sure they do. But you’re all committed, and in love now so they don’t stand a chance.
Adrian: Nope.
Nyrae: Okay… I hate doing this but we have to talk about Ash. I know he isn’t something you’ll ever get over, but how are you doing now?
Adrian: closes eyes. Takes a deep breath We take it day by day. Are there still days I wish I could burn the whole fucking world down because we’re all still here and he isn’t? Hell yes…. But I’m happy now too. I’m happy most days when I never was before. I see things and think how he would have liked them or Laney brings something up and it reminds me of a story about him. I can talk about him now and I could never do that shit before. I’m living for him. Next question.
Nyrae: wipes eyes Okay, let’s talk about something fun now. Tell me how everyone is doing.
Adrian: Laney and I are good. We’re both working and going back to school. Colt and Cheyenne are doing their thing. I have to put them in their place once in a while and let ‘em know mine and Laney’s book was way better than CHARADE—
Nyrae: Hey! I resent that! BOTH your books are special. They both hold a special place in my heart. And if I hadn’t met Colt first, I wouldn’t have gotten to meet you….
Adrian: I see how you are. Rubbing it in my face again that I wouldn’t have Laney without you. Laughs Yeah, Charade was good but I have to give him shit. We wouldn’t be friends, if I didn’t.
Nyrae: True. You guys are crazy. How about we leave things off with you telling us your favorite part of the book?”
Adrian: eyebrows go up Can I say the sex?
Nyrae: How did I know that would be your answer?? Okay, what is your favorite part of the book besides the sex?
Adrian: You’re no fun. I guess one of my favorite parts was when Laney and I went away for a few days.
Nyrae: Don’t make yourself think I don’t realize what you just did but I’ll allow it. Thanks for letting me pick your brain a little Adrian. I know this isn’t really your thing so I appreciate it.
Adrian: No problem. Hell, maybe I’ll even do it again sometime… Jillian’s cool people.
Nyrae: Yes, she is. Thanks, Jillian!
Thank YOU, Adrian and Nyrae! What a treat!! XO

About the author:
Writing has always been Nyrae Dawn’s passion. There have been times in her life where she wasn’t able to chase that dream the way she desired, but she always found her way back to telling stories.
One of her loves has always been writing about teens. There’s something so fresh and fun about the age that she loves exploring. Her husband says it’s because she doesn’t want to grow up. She doesn’t think that’s such a bad thing and luckily for her, he doesn’t either.
Nyrae gravitates toward character-driven stories. She loves going on emotional journeys with characters whether it be reading or writing. And yes, she’s a total romantic at heart and proud.
Nyrae resides in sunny Southern California with her husband (who still makes her swoon) and her two awesome kids.
When she’s not with her family, you can be pretty sure you’ll find her with a book in her hand or her laptop and an open document in front of her.
She writes for Entangled Publishing, Grand Central Publishing and is self-published.

Whew! Hot, hot, hot – these men have definitely turned up the heat!
Ian: Wicked Games by Samanthe Beck (part of the anthology)
Grayson: Seducing Mr. Right by Katee Robert (part of the anthology)
Landon: Tempted by His Best Friend by Cari Quinn (part of the anthology)
Derek: Protecting What’s Theirs by Tessa Bailey (part of the anthology)
Jett: Wicked Heat by Nicola Marsh
Trick: Dirty Trick by Christine Bell
Here are today’s questions for the men
Question #1: Favorite ice cream flavor?
Ian: Bourbon or whiskey, hold the ice cream.
Grayson: Chocolate
Trick: Cherry Garcia
Derek: I don’t do sweet…not unless I’m licking it off Ginger’s belly. So I guess you could say my favorite ice cream flavor is Ginger.
Jett: Rum and Raisin (though don’t believe the cliché Aussie stereotype that we need alcohol to have a good time. We don’t. We just like having a good time period.)
Landon: Vanilla bean. I’m anything but vanilla behind closed doors but when it comes to dessert? Can’t do better than that.
Question #2: Steamiest place you’ve ever seduced a lady?
Ian: Private room at a club called Deuces, but “seduction” is too tame a word for what went down. I still have bruises…
Grayson: My office. I bent her over my desk and… Well, a true gentleman never tells the dirty details.
Trick: Funny you should phrase it that way. It was in a sauna, pretty recently and was definitely steamy.
Derek: While operating a motor vehicle through Chicago traffic in evening attire. Not as complicated as it sounds, if you know the right words to say. But I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.
Jett: First class cabin on a jet. Ask Allegra. She’ll vouch for me.
Landon: Hmm, I distinctly remember having some fun on the receptionist’s counter at my law firm with my favorite leading lady…but I don’t kiss and tell, so read my novella to find out for sure.
Now….let’s get to voting!
