Promises We Meant To Keep is Sylvie and Spencer’s story and one I was so looking forward to after finishing Things I Wanted to Say, But Never Did.
I honestly don’t know how to start this one. I enjoyed this one, but felt like it was also missing something for me.
Sylvie is a broken soul and once you have an understanding of her, you get it. Spencer was everything for Sylvie, even after she did him dirty.
I enjoyed this story but it was definitely lacking in many areas compared to Monica’s previous books. I wanted more angst, especially when it came to Spencer taking Sylvie back. I wanted more character development for both Sylvie and Spencer, but especially Spencer.
Overall, it’s an entertaining story, just a bit too surface level for me, especially when it comes to Monica’s writing.
