I have been anxiously awaiting Taila Eden’s story since I finished Juniper Hill. Devney gave readers the biggest “HOLY CRAP!” moment at the end of Juniper Hill with Foster Madden walking into the hospital asking for her and she hides!! What the hell!?!?

Devney delivered the story I was anxiously awaiting and then some. Foster was not the guy I had anticipated him to be and his determination and tenacity knew no bounds.

Garnet Flats is a second chance romance with the perfect slow burn desire. Foster definitely has some explaining to do and he definitely won me over as the story progressed. Taila’s anger, hurt and weariness are highly understood and expected. It was a true joy to know that no matter, Foster wasn’t giving up and hardest fight was winning Talia back.

I wanted to give this a full 5 stars but there was one small issue I had with these that just felt a little too impossible (read to find out what) but I only knocked a half star off for that because overall, this book was everything I love.

Devney leaves readers once again with that “God Dang” moment at the end of the book and the perfect lead in to her next book int his series.

If you haven’t started yet, I highly recommend this entire series. While they are all standalones, definitely read them in order to get the full impact.

I have loved every book in this series (Carolina Comets) so far and Teagan continues to deliver a phenomenal sports romance. I want to give this book all the stars for so many different reasons!

For anyone who has been reading this series, you know that we have all seen something going on between Smith and Emilia, but just were not sure. And we finally get their story!!

I had not expected there to be so much angst and tension between these two but there’s a reason for that. And the slow burn – OMG!! But once these two finally got on board with one another – HOLY FIRE!!

Meet Kristen

The Scandal is a standalone romance within Proby’s Single in Seattle series.

I’m not normally one for insta-love stories but when it’s done right, I really enjoy them. And this is another that I absolutely enjoyed.

Stella finds herself needing to get an annulment and quickly. When she walks into the office of the attorney handling the paperwork, she’s knocked back a few steps. Grayson may be slightly older but there is an air about him that she finds absolutely attractive. And Grayson doesn’t mix words in letting her know just how he feels about her.

Kristen delivered this story with the perfectly. The pacing and timing of everything is right on the mark. I love the maturity of both Stella and Grayson and it just feeds into their attraction for one another. The secondary characters definitely add another layer into the story and just keep things very well rounded.

Another great book from Kristen!
