Start Us Up is the first book in Lexi’s newest series, Park Ave Promise.
This book was right down the middle enjoyable for me. I did not hate it but it also did not wow, which honestly surprised me because I love just about anything that Lexi writes.
Start Us Up is definitely woman’s fiction than romance as it primarily focuses on Ivy’s personal growth with a tad of romance sprinkled throughout. I can read just about anything but having this promoted as a romance, it felt a bit misleading and I think that played into my expectations.
This book is strong and very well written. You can tell that Lexi did her own research, especially when it comes to the more techy aspect of this book and all the ins and outs of that world. The depth she brings to her characters and their interactions definitely kept this book entertaining.
Overall, it’s a good read.

You can never go wrong when it comes to a book by Jewel E. Ann.
I truly love when I am reading a story and I just find myself all smiles and giggly and that’s exactly what Right Guy, Wrong Word did.
It is impossible to not love Eric from the get-go. He truly had me enamored the entire book (and his mating dance – LOL). Anna, she was a bit different but in true Jewel fashion, she had me really liking her by the end.
Overall, this is another great read from Jewel and you will truly love every bit of this book.

The One I Want, an all-new emotional, angst-filled new adult stand-alone romance from USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Siobhan Davis is available now!!!
We thought we were forever, but fate had other plans…
I never intended to fall in love.
This girl had goals and guys were an unwelcome distraction.
Until I met Garrick, my sophomore year of college, and he blasted through the walls I kept around my heart, tearing them down.
He knew what he wanted, and he wanted me.
Falling hard and fast, I experienced the rollercoaster highs and lows of first love.
Until life threw us a curveball, and everything flipped overnight.
Stuck in a limbo state, I was falling apart while trying to be strong for my boyfriend.
Then he entered my life. The hot, slightly older guy who looked like a cross between a tatted biker and a billionaire businessman.
Beck understood me, and our situation, in a way no one else could.
As a friend, he held me together and helped to piece back the shredded fragments of my heart.
I didn’t mean to fall in love with him—it just happened.
No one understands, least of all me.
Now my heart is split in two, and I don’t know what to do.
Is my first love my one true love? Or do I belong with the man who brought me to life?
“Can I get you anything else?” I ask, my eyes darting to the door. It’s crazy busy and I need to get back. I also wouldn’t mind putting some distance between the two of us. His presence is magnetic, and it concerns me that I’ve noticed.
Little beads of sweat cling to his brow before he swipes them away with the back of his hand. His disarming smile is firmly in place as he stalks toward me. “Just your company.” He moves in closer, and his breath tickles my face when he speaks. “What’s your name, and do you go to school here too?” Curiosity lights up his handsome face as his inquisitive gaze probes mine.
“Why do you want to know?” I step sideways to create some distance between us.
“I’m just making conversation.”
There’s a weird tension in the air. A crackling charge ripping across the space separating our bodies, and I don’t like feeling some freaky connection between us. “Well, I’m working, and they need me outside, so I should go.”
“It’s too quiet in here, and I don’t like hanging around by myself.” His earnest eyes are shielding nothing, and I know it isn’t a lie or a ruse to trap me into spending time with him. “Not when I’m pumped full of adrenaline. Normally, my friends would be here, but they all had shit to do tonight.” His eyes soften. “You’d be doing me a big favor if you kept me company.” He flops down on the couch, still maintaining eye contact with me. He pats the space beside him. “I only have a short break, and I promise I won’t bite.”He flashes me another ovary-clenching smile. “I’m betting you haven’t taken a break all night. Rest your feet and take a breather.”
A break does sound nice, and he’s right. I wasn’t able to take my usual ten minutes earlier because it was too busy. Suddenly, my feet feel heavy, and my legs ache like they might go out from under me.
Garrick hops up and grabs two chilled bottles of water from the mini refrigerator as I lower my tired butt onto the couch. Fridays are always nightmarish because I have classes until lunch, then I work my shift at Butterfly Flowers, and run back to the apartment I share off-campus with my friend Ellen to grab something to eat and a quick shower before showing up for my shift at the bar. I usually sleep in late on Saturday morning, too exhausted to get up early.
“You look like you need this as much as me,” he says, handing me a water.
“Thanks, and I do. It’s hot out there tonight.”
“It’s a veritable sauna, ”he agrees. “If it’s like this every Friday night, I might start showing up in nothing but shorts.”
“That would be one way of keeping your fans loyal,” I tease as I uncap the bottle.
“I’m here for the music, not the girls.” He flashes me a flirty look, that seems to contradict his statement, before gulping back his drink.
“Said no rock star ever,” I deadpan, fighting a grin. “I’m not a rock star nor do I have any desire to be.”
“How come? You must know you’re good, and isn’t it what most musicians dream of?”
He shrugs before draining his second bottle of water and tossing the empty in the trash can. “Not me. Music is a hobby. It’s a release. A way to indulge my creative side. It will never be anything more.”
“It seems a shame to waste such natural talent, but I admire you for knowing what you want and sticking to your resolve.”
“I still don’t know your name.” He twists around on the couch. His knee brushes against my jean-clad leg as he leans in closer, giving me his undivided attention.
It’s unnerving, but I still can’t force myself to get up and leave.
“And you didn’t tell me if you go to UO too,” he adds, looking at me like I’m the most fascinating person in the world.
“I’m Stevie, and yes, I go to school here. I’m studying floral management and just about to finish my sophomore year.”
“Same here.”
My eyes pop wide. I’m pretty sure there are no guys in any of my classes. Floral management is not really a guy thing.
He chuckles. “I meant I’m a sophomore. I’m majoring in family enterprise.”
“Oh, cool. Does your family have a business?”
He nods as his tongue darts out wetting his lips. “My dad is CEO of Allen Lumber and Allen Wineries. I’ll be joining the business when I graduate.”
His tone is very matter-of-fact, and it doesn’t seem like he’s bragging. Wouldn’t matter if he was. I’m hard to impress, and I can’t think of any guy who has ever managed to do it. “I know Allen Wineries. The country club I used to work at back home buys their wine. So, you’re from Seattle too?”
“Born and bred.”
“What part?”
“Dad lives in North Bend, and Mom lives in Medina. I used to split my time between both homes.” Air trickles out of his mouth as he drags one hand through his messy dark hair.
Something akin to desire pools low in my belly, but I ignore it.
“What about you? Where do you call home?” he asks.
“Ravenna. I live with my mom, and my nana is close by too.”
“No dad?”
“I never knew him.” I’m not about to get into it with a guy who is a virtual stranger even if he seems like an okay guy and the conversation is flowing easily.
“This feels a little like fate.” His eyes sparkle with excitement.
“What does?”
“Us meeting like this.”
I resist the urge to roll my eyes. “It’s coincidence. Not fate. And it’s not like there aren’t a ton of people attending Oregon from Seattle.”
“True, but I’m sticking to my convictions. You call it coincidence. I’m calling it fate.” He attempts to dazzle me with that flirty smile again, and it almost works. Angling his body closer, he stares at my mouth like he wants to kiss me.
Siobhan Davis never ceases me to amaze with her writing and stories.
Gah!! I do not even know where to start this one. I finished this book over the weekend and I was all up in my emotions the whole time.
I am not going to rehash this story – read the blurb if you want to know what to expect. I’m not even going to talk about the characters because I truly feel that this is one story that the reader needs to read without any knowledge except what the author has told you in the blurb.
I will tell you that this story rocked me in so many ways. I felt everything from sheer joy, to laughter to unbelievable heart ache and just raw emotions. I love a story that seeps deep into your bones, directly into your soul and The One I Want does exactly that!!!
I cannot love this book enough. It is a long book and yes, the beginning is a bit slow. BUT, there’s reason for that and I urge you to not stop because the reward it so worth it.
Grab this book now!! It’s worth every ounce of emotion you feel. The is Siobhan at her best.

Why am I holding a box of stolen memorabilia in my arms? It’s called . . . revenge.
After failing my last semester of grad school, I decided to come back to my hometown and wallow in my boyfriend’s sympathetic arms. Instead, he proceeded to dump me . . . for being boring!
Now, I’m not typically a spiteful person, but there’s only so much I can take. Hence why I’m holding the box of his most cherished possessions…stolen possessions no less!
The plan? To give the box back to its rightful owner and rat my ex out. How’s that for being boring?
But plans never go the way you want them, because instead of dropping off the box with a note, I’m pinned with the crime by the true owner of the box himself.
Hayes Farrow is grumpy, arrogant, and stupidly hot in a way that makes it hard to even look him in the eye. Not to mention he’s my brother’s nemesis so I fully intended to stay far far away from the gorgeous jerk.

But working for Hayes isn’t as horrible as I thought it would be. The way I hate him begins to turn into something else – something I never thought I’d feel. But the way my brother reacts when he finds out I’m working for his enemy? He’d prefer me in prison orange.

The first time I met Casper Hart, I turned him down despite his good looks and obvious charm. I’d only just arrived at university, and a man like him was the last thing I needed to make me lose focus.
The only problem? I had no idea who the hell he was. Rich, entitled, hot, and arrogant, no one walked away from Casper without paying a high price.
Unfortunately for him, he’d chosen the wrong girl to pick a fight with.
Unfortunately for me… Casper happened to live right next door, and he didn’t let up easily.
Three years of endless torture later, it’s no secret to anyone that Casper and I share nothing but hate towards each other, going out of our way to cause as much pain and annoyance to the other as possible. But when a series of break-ins break out on campus, and my friends are all otherwise occupied, Casper ends up being the only person I can call upon to help me get out of a nasty situation.
The only question now is at what cost?
Because nothing Casper ever does for me comes free, and despite everyone else seeing him as the superhero, I know the truth.
He’s nothing but a rotten Villain. One I can’t seem to stay away from no matter how hard I try.

Enduring rough living conditions became second nature. With her shield of sarcasm and a tenacity of amour, Rory’s gut had never failed her. That was until she landed in a small town with a passion for bourbon, horse-racing, and the Jordan brothers.
The walls of her new foster home were abundant but brimmed with secrets of their own. She knew biding her time until her eighteenth birthday wouldn’t be easy. 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻.
The most paramount decision she’s ever been faced with was choosing between two boys. Each claiming a little bit of her heart for unique reasons. Amidst the chaos that surrounded her, she found beauty in the boisterous laughter one brought and the myriad of feelings the other made her feel.
“I love you more than I’ve ever loved anything or anyone in this world. It’s unusual, some might even say rushed, to fall in love so young and commit your life to another person. I say the world can go fuck itself. I’m tired of trying to please other people and be what society expects of me. All I care about is being good to you. Loyal. Protective. And respectful. I won’t make you promises that I’ll never screw up again, or that we’re going to be happy every day for the rest of our lives. That’s not real. Life is about embracing the chaos. I want to make the hard times easier. I want to give you the life you dreamed you’d have. I want to be your forever home. Not this town. Not even because we’ll share a last name. Me. I want to be your refuge just as much as you are mine.”
Beauty in Chaos is Nacole’s newest release and her first book in over eight years. Let’s just say that Nacole really knows how to make comeback into the writing scene.
Beauty in Chaos is such a unique and emotional story. The blurb truly gives you just a tiny glimpse of what Rory’s story is about.
Rory is just trying to survive foster care and find a way to get full custody of her foster brother once she ages out. What she never anticipated were the Jordan brothers.
One brother is fire and the other ice. I just can’t decided which one is going to burn me first.
Trice and Crew are complete opposites of one another. And Rory struggles with her reactions to each of them; she’s never had to sift through her thoughts and feelings like she does with each of them. But when a family secret is revealed, Rory is faced with an almost impossible decision.
I cannot applaud Nacole enough for how well written this story is. You sense what each of these characters are going through. You find yourself empathizing with Rory, understanding some of these teen’s life choices.
But eve moreso, Nicole delves into the in-depth issues such as foster care and adoption and the nuiances associated with those issues. All the grey areas surrounding our foster care system and how broken it is, and she does it with grace but keeps it real.
Beauty in Chaos is definitely an emotional read and will tug at your heart strings in so many ways. It is worth every penny.
Bones.
Nacole Stayton is thirty-something years young and resides in the Bourbon Capital of the World with her husband and son. Her debut novel, The Upside of Letting Go is an Amazon top 100 bestseller. As the eldest son of Austin’s most prominent preacher, I’ve lived my life on the virtuous side.
No scandals. Flawless image. Clean reputation.
That’s the way it must be if I’m going to take his place someday.
But everything changes when I find out my father is a VIP member of a local kink club.
A liar. A cheater. A hypocrite.
Now, I’m done being righteous.
And when the club owner’s jaded girlfriend comes to me with a proposal, I can’t resist.
Sage is nothing like the women I’ve dated before. Pink hair, tattoos, piercings. I know it’ll burn my father’s reputation to the ground when she and I are seen together.
But our fake dating scheme isn’t enough. We need videos—dirty videos.
The more we film these scenes, the more I like it.
She wants me to degrade her, hurt her, violate her.
And God help me, I want it too.
But it’s hardly fake anymore, and before long I don’t recognize the Goode man I used to be.
Anti-hero is Sara Cate’s newest release and first book in her The Goode Brothers series.
Anti-hero is also my first book by Sara Cate. And I’ve gotta admit – I picked a damn phenomenal one. She earned a fan in me immediately.
I don’t even know where to begin on my love of this book. I loved everything about this book from the plot, to the characters, to the impeccable writing that just brings this story to life.
Sara Cate truly knows how to give not only her story many layers, but her characters. I love how this story flowed and how everything played out in the most natural and realistic way. Her writing truly breathed life into these characters and their story.
Sage and Adam may be complete opposites in every single way possible, but they also brought out the best (and dirtiest) in one another. The revelations (pun intended 😉) that each of them had as this story progressed was another layer to discovering who they were and what they wanted.
Sara blends everything in this book (suspense, spice, angst, drama, rollercoaster emotions) perfectly to deliver one hell of an intriguing and authentic story. You will love Sage and Adam’s story and be begging for more once it’s over.
Just go read this one already!
Meet Sara Cate
Let’s skip the boring About the Author bit where I tell you how I’m a USA Today bestselling author who lives in Arizona with her kids, husband, and dog and enjoys baking in my free time. Boring.
Instead, I’d like you to know I strive to be a taboo and forbidden romance author who dares to tell stories with heart-wrenching plot and toe-curling heat.
My passion in life is to normalize a reading experience that pushes boundaries and empowers women to own their sexuality. Things that trigger my soapbox rants are discrediting the romance industry or belittling its readers by calling it “trash.” You’ve been warned. I could quite literally go on for days.
I like to take risks and write from the heart. And I want nothing more than to be an author readers trust to deliver books that are steamy AF but with a strong storyline and well-rounded characters.
What is The Sara Cate Experience?
The Sara Cate Experience means being pulled into a story and escaping reality a little bit for romances that are as emotional as they are arousing. The feelings are strong and the steam is scorching. There is never one without the other because when sex and love come together, it’s fireworks.

The Dandelion Diary, an all-new heartwarming Maysen Jar novella from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Devney Perry is available now!
From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Devney Perry comes a new story in her Maysen Jar series…
Dear Diary,
My dad needs a girlfriend, and I’ve already picked her out.
Miss Adler would be perfect for him, right? She’s super pretty. She has the best smile and she gives the best hugs. And she’s, like, the most amazing teacher in the world.
Dad is my hero, but I can tell he’s lonely. He tries to hide it from me, but sometimes at night, when he thinks I’m asleep, I’ll sneak downstairs and find him sitting on the couch, staring at nothing. He’s never had a girlfriend, not since the divorce. Mom messed him up. She’s good at that.
He’s smart and funny, but he doesn’t laugh enough. I’ve seen other moms at school check him out so I guess he’s handsome. (Eww.) And he makes up the best nicknames. He calls me Dandelion. I bet he’d give Miss Adler an awesome nickname too.
They’re perfect for each other. I just know it. Now I only have to show them I’m right.
Wish me luck.
Katy

Jeff stopped just beyond the patio, turning to face me. I stopped too, standing just within arm’s reach. He reached up, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear. “I’m stalling.” “You’re stalling.” “You gotta tell me what you want. It’s your job. It’s your life. You want to wait until summer, then I’ll walk you to your car right now.” I inched closer. More of that bravery bubbled to the surface. Was this a stupid idea? Yep. So why couldn’t I leave? “What if I don’t want to go to my car?” A growl came from his chest as he dragged a hand over his jaw. “You’re sure?” “Is Katy asleep?” He nodded once. “Out like a light.” “Then I want you to kiss me.” The words were barely out of my mouth before his lips crushed mine, his strong arms sweeping me off my feet as he hauled me into his chest. Yes. Whatever doubts I had vanished. I melted against him, sinking into the feel of those lips against mine. Never in my life had I been this bold. Never in my life had I told a man to kiss me. Worth it. So fucking worth it. His tongue swept against the seam of my lips, demanding entry. A mewl escaped my throat as he slid inside. Then he plundered, fluttering and tangling and swirling his tongue with mine until I was breathless. This man could kiss. Thank the stars in the sky, he could kiss. He nipped at the corner of my mouth, then sucked my bottom lip between his teeth. He slanted over me, delving deeper, leaving no corner of my mouth untouched. My entire body went up in flames, my pulse thudding in time with the aching throb in my core. When he broke us apart, my lips were swollen. He latched on to my neck, sucking and kissing as he left a trail down the column of my throat. “More.” I fisted the material of his shirt, holding him to me. “Fuck, Della.” His voice held an edge of restraint, like he was trying to press the brakes. He pulled back, setting me on my feet. His eyes searched mine and his Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed hard. Then he shifted, taking a step away. No. “Don’t,” I panted. Maybe it was the years of rejection from Luka. Maybe it was this all-consuming need for Jeff’s touch, his skin against mine. If I had to beg, I’d beg. Tonight, I wanted to be craved. Worshiped. And if that kiss was any indication, together, we could be dynamite. “Della—” “Please don’t pull away from me.” There was a vulnerability in my voice that surprised even me. Jeff’s eyes softened. “I don’t want to, beautiful. But if I don’t put this space between us, I’m not sure I’ll be able to let you go.” The air rushed from my lungs. He wants me. Deep down, I knew he wanted me. That kiss was a kiss from a man who wanted a woman. But to hear the need in his voice, well…it meant I didn’t care about the rules. Not tonight. I’d risk it all, just once. “You said I had to tell you what I want,” I said. “And that’s you. Kiss me again. Take me inside to your bedroom. Or if all you want to do is sit at the table and play cribbage with me, I’ll take whatever I can get. We don’t even know each other but the idea of me leaving right now…” I shook my head. “I don’t want to leave.”
This is how you write a novella!!!
The Dandelion Diary is a novella in Devney’s Maysen Jar series and part of the 1,001 Dark Nights 2023 collection.
If you’re a dummy like me and haven’t read any of the books in this series, this is the perfect book to get a peak into this perfect small town. And it’s also a perfect way to get a glimpse into Devney’s phenomenal writing.
I cannot rave enough about this novella. It’s set in this quaint small-town and has adorable little stores. The Dandelion Diary features a divorced, single dad and he’s incredibly sweet daughter and his daughter’s teacher. Yep – a forbidden romance.
Jeff helps manage a local landscaping business and his main focus has always been his daughter, Katy, whom he also calls Dandelion. I absolutely love the father-daughter relationship between these two.
Della Adler is Katy’s school teacher. She and Jeff have a meeting one day at Katy’s school after Katy has a bad day and there’s this immediate connection between one another. And from there – things take off.
There’s reason this is called The Dandelion Diary – and you must read this one to find out why. The ending had me smiling the biggest smile.
Definitely a must read!!!

Seeing him brings everything to the surface, so I flee. Placing distance between us
again, I’m determined to put him behind me once and for all. Then he reappears at my door, begging me for another chance.
I know I should turn him away. Try telling that to my heart.

Tell It To My Heart is a second-chance rockstar romance and I am here for it!
This review (like most of mine) will not reword the blurb nor will I summarize what happens. The blurb is all you need to know going into this.
In true Siobhan style, she pulls you in from the beginning, keeps you transfixed the entire time, all the while, has you understanding and empathizing with these characters.
The story is told from both POVs and the story flows absolutely perfectly. It is a slow burn that is filled with angst, some suspense and heat.
A definite must read!

Teasing me with a mischievous, merciless grin by day.
Crawling through my window with tear-stained cheeks by night.
I was ordered to avoid her.
Lectured on her misdeeds.
Forbidden from seeing her.
But my need to protect her was innate, so natural I never
questioned it.
So visceral I couldn’t fight it.
She was the first rule I ever broke, and it’s why I lost her the
first time.
Now, out of nowhere, there is Sav Loveless.
World famous front woman for The Hometown Heartless, Hollywood’s newest up-and-coming film star, and my daughter’s idol.
Her reputation for trouble precedes her, but the celebrity who sets foot in my small town is no longer a girl in need of protection.
She’s a woman who has saved herself, and this time, it’s my life that’s falling apart.
Maintaining the distance between us is imperative, but everything about her pulls at every part of me.
My need to touch her clouds my logic.
My need to have her, to own her, to love her.
She’ll be the last rule I ever break,
but this time, it will be to keep her.

Between Never and Forever is an angsty and spicy standalone contemporary romance. It follows rockstar, single father, small town, and second chance tropes, and has a guaranteed HEA.
This book contains content that may be considered in appropriate for readers under 18.
Brit Benson writes real, relatable romance novels that depict epic love. She likes outspoken, independent heroines, dirty-talking, love-struck heroes, and plots that tug on every emotion.
Brit would almost always rather be reading or writing. When she’s not dreaming up her next swoony book boyfriend and fierce book bestie, she’s getting lost in someone else’s fictional world. When she’s not doing that, she’s probably marathoning a Netflix series or wandering aimlessly up and down the aisles in Homegoods, sniffing candles and touching things she’ll never buy.
Brit currently resides somewhere near the Blue Ridge Parkway with her husband, daughters, dogs, and an obscene number of books.
