I didn’t even realize I had been crying and shaking uncontrollably until I felt Damien open the passenger door. He unhooked my seat belt and lifted me into his strong arms.

“Shh, I’ve got you, Raelyn,” he breathed. He softly pressed his lips to my hair to kiss me. “And I’m never letting you go.”

I looped my arms around his shoulders and buried my face into his neck. Deep sobs racked through my body, my tears soaking his flesh.

Damien carried me through the breezeway and into the house where his long strides ascended the curvy staircase.

When we reached his bedroom, he gently placed me on the bed. Then, he climbed in beside me and pulled me into him.

The afternoon sun beamed in through the windows, yet I’d never been so tired and drained in all my life. I felt trapped with a relentless fear, and my mind was on overload. It wanted to shut down and block out the past two hours of my life.

My only solace was the man before me, caging me with his warmth.

“You know,” he began softly, “there is plenty of room in my closet for you to keep some of your clothes here.”

His comment caught me off guard, and my heart constricted with one hard squeeze before it sped up with an uneven rhythm.

“Uh,” I stammered before closing my mouth, unsure of how to respond.

He inquisitively stared at me as I parted my lips to try again.

“I don’t know.” I blinked in shock. “I think it’s too soon to be thinking about that.”

Damien arched a brow, and I just knew he was going to hit me with a comeback.

But he didn’t.

Instead, he teasingly narrowed his eyes at me as he said, “Nothing is too soon with you.”

He took deliberate steps toward me, and that domineering persona that I loved about him was evident in every single one of his purposeful strides toward me.

“In fact, we are going to your place tonight after work to pack some things for you to bring here.”

“What?” I screeched, gaping at him. “I’m not moving in with you!”

Without saying a word, he lifted his phone in his hand, which I hadn’t noticed he was still holding, and he tapped on the screen.

A devious smirk appeared on his face before he spoke into the line, “Zoey, something came up that I must deal with. I’ll see you at ten.”

Just when I thought my mouth couldn’t possibly hang open any more, it did. “You have lost your mind.”

He continued to stalk toward me.

I glared at him as I backed up to the headboard behind me, increasing the distance between us. I wouldn’t be able to keep my head straight if Damien put his hands on me. My body would willingly cave to his over-the-top demands.

Damien was my weakness and my strength, rolled into one massive wave of passion.

He knelt on the bed and slowly came closer. All the while, the look in his eyes darkened with unmistakable desire.

He was going to devour me.

“What are you doing?” I lifted my right foot and pressed it to his stomach to halt his advance. “Stop right there.” My voice, laced with warning, trailed off as my attention caught on his erection.

It was heavy and hard.

I drank in each defined muscle of his abs as they flexed with each of his movements.

Strength and dominance rippled out of him.

Damien gently grasped ahold of my ankle. “I’m giving you a reminder.”

“A reminder?” I wiggled my leg in an attempt to shake it free. “Of what?” I asked, damn well knowing the answer.

This was one of those times when he wanted control, and I refused to give him the satisfaction of surrendering so easily.

Who am I kidding?

It was useless. I was a goner.

So I have been dying to read this since I finished Complicate Me and hot damn!! All of these books in this series can be read as a standalone, however, I would highly recommend reading them all in order. M does a fabulous job of building up the next book inside the current book and has you begging for the next book each time.

Lily is Lucas’ baby sister and you all know how possessive Lucas is. Jacob is Lucas’ best friend and he’s always known Lily since she was born. Never her saw her as more than a sister while they were growing up. That is til her mother became ill and needed someone to lean on.

There may be a 7 year difference between them, but she is also Lucas’s baby sister. That’s what Jacob has constantly told himself since he felt more for her. Lily has always loved Jacob since she can remember. The book goes back and forth between the past and present. I love that we get a glimpse of these characters as they are growing up. This adds so much to the plot of the book.

“Hurting you is my biggest regret, loving you is my only redemption.”

I am absolutely loving this series so far. M has a way with her writing that just pulls you into the story and not wanting to put it down. It’s angsty, heartfelt, tension-filled and unforgettable. As I said before, she is able to blend in the build up of the next book so once you hit the epilogue, you are pleading and begging for the next book!!

I took a moment when I was fully inside of her, leaning back
to take a good look at her, wanting to remember her just this way, always. Her
long silky brown hair spread all over my sheets, the way her cheeks were
slightly flushed and how the blush crept down to her neck, how her lips were
swollen from my touch and her serene eyes glazed over.

So beautiful.

I placed a soft kiss on the pulse on her neck, loving the
feel of it beating against my lips. Her dark brown eyes watched me adoringly as

I have to say it – Olivia Evans is a diamond in the rough. This woman is a phenomenal writer and amazing story teller.

I am always hesitant to read a book from an author that I have not heard much about. And even after reading the blurb, even though it enticed me, I was still a little leery but I went with my gut and believed I wouldn’t be let down.

Let me just say that when a prologue is able to give me chills, the sets the stage for me as to how well this book is going go. And Olivia blew me away. Brooklyn & Beale isn’t her debut novel but god damn, she won me over as a huge fan with this book.

Ok…back to the book.

Brooklyn and Beale is a beautiful and emotional love story. There is no insta-love. There isn’t the steamy and hot sex throughout the whole book. This book is about so much more. It’s about finding ones self. It’s about building friendships and relationships that will last forever. It’s a story of change and growth. It’s a god damn awesome story.

I love the characters that Olivia has created. Chloe is the perfect blend of badass, talent, quirky, and beautiful. Reid is a troubled guy who is trying to find himself again. He’s talented, smart, sexy and fragile. The other characters are quite entertaining and are the perfect balance for the whole story. Olivia does a great job of developing all these relationships to show the bond that people form over time and how strong that bond can be.

Olivia made this story real. It’s simple human nature and reactions and interactions that makes this story honest, raw and so real. You will find yourself half way through and praying the book is never going to end. I love how I felt everything from these characters. There is a lot of tension throughout and that helps propel the book forward and keeps all the emotions burning.

You really have to experience this book first hand yourself. I won’t give you any parts of the plot only because I can’t tell you one thing without having to tell you another. Everything ties together and I won’t ruin this awesome story by giving one tidbit away.

Olivia – I am looking forward to reading so much more from you! As I said earlier, you are a DIAMOND in the rough. I can’t wait to see where you take us next!

I love Rage (AJ) and this book. This is probably my favorite book in this series so far.

Rage is slightly different than the rest of the books in this series in that in really focuses more on the love of a child and his AJ’s ability to form a strong bond with her regardless of what his peers think of him.

AJ (Rage) is a major league baseball player and earned the nickname Rage because of his extreme outbursts and inability to keep himself in check (on or off the field). However, he has learned to control and focus that energy in a more positive way thanks to his coach, Mr. Lara.

Addison is coach Lara’s daughter and her daughter, Clair, is a huge baseball fanatic and smart beyond her years. She also has the same love of stats as her mom, so she is always going with her grandfather to all of the games. She also happens to be AJ’s biggest fan and these two form one hell of a bond.

Due to the closeness of not only Clair and AJ, but also the way AJ looks up to coach Lara, it’s inevitable that AJ and Addison would eventually meet. Their first interaction isn’t one that I would say went smoothly either. But as time moves on, things become better and also get more complicated, for many, many reasons.

I won’t give any more of the plot away. This book is full love, devotion, heartache, deceit and determination. You will feel everything that both AJ and Addison feel. You will understand AJ’s rage and you can totally picture him when he is flying off the handle, regardless if you agree with him or not. You can sense Addison’s apprehension to a certain point, only because we don’t know exactly what all she has going on.

AJ and Addison will both infuriate you and also make you want to root for them. These two are very passionate people and they do no hold back anything. Elizabeth does an amazing job of writing two extremely strong characters. Yes, they have their flaws, but that’s what makes them so much more real and honest.

As I said earlier, this is probably my favorite book in this series. I cried, laughed, rooted on fights, and even felt like punching things all while reading this book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. I love when I feel so much in one book.

Another highly recommended book by Elizabeth Reyes!!

She’s also published a second series, 5th Street which includes, NOAH, GIO, HECTOR, ABEL. FELIX. Her Moreno Brother’s spinoff series FATE includes FATE, BREAKING BRANDON, SUSPICIOUS MINDS and AGAIN (Sydney’s story). Her debut traditionally published title is DESERT HEAT and her latest release is her first ever three part romance serial DEFINING LOVE.

When she’s not writing (which is rare) she spends as much time as she can with her husband of almost twenty-one years, two young adult children, her Great Dane, Dexter and big fat lazy cat named Tyson.

Meet Lorenzo

Walking smack into a wall jolted her instantly out of her thoughts. The moment she realized the solid wall was actually a man’s chest was mortifying enough, but when her eyes met Lorenzo’s uncompromising expression, her legs went weak.

“I’m sorry,” she said, feeling her face go hot, and pulled her hand away from his chest where it’d flown in reflex.

She was caught in his intense eyes as she had been earlier. Like she had been so many times the night she met him. But it was only momentarily.

“Don’t be,” he said, glancing away quickly, and if she weren’t mistaken, he seemed a bit panicked. Maybe his wife or fiancée was here. “I wasn’t paying attention either.”

They stood there in heavy silence for a few awkward seconds until she finally smiled and shrugged. “Small world, huh?”

The miniscule nod said he agreed, but his vacant expression now bordered on hard. His eyes lowered, and she gulped when she realized he was staring at her lips. He licked his lips as the memory of his kisses inundated her. Is that what he was thinking of too? She stared at his lips as she felt his face lean in a little closer to hers and froze when she could actually feel his warm breath so close to her lips. Just when she’d been certain he was going to kiss her, he froze too and their eyes met again. “Too small maybe.”

Ouch.

“I can assure you,” he went on as he pulled back suddenly, “if I’d known you’d be here . . .” He glanced away with a frown without finishing then tipped the edge of his hat with a painfully forced smile. “My apologies for running into you,” he said tersely. “Have a good day.”

Monster Prick is Kendall’s first try at a novella. I must say that I enjoyed. Did I enjoy it as much as her other books, no. But that’s because I enjoy her writing so much and wanted this story to go more in depth. But then that would kill the whole point of this being a novella. LOL

Hudson and Gracie are too loveable characters. Yes, Hudson is a manwhore. But not when it comes to Gracie. And no matter what he says, he sucks at hiding it. Gracie – lord I wanted to squeeze this girl. She is so sweet and cute – what isn’t there to like about her.

Their story is very endearing and has you hoping for the best. Just when we get to the point I want more, we are given the epilogue. Please do not take this as a bad thing – it just proves that Kendall sucks you right into a love story and has you wanting more and more. But the story is written very well and other than wanting more, it flows beautifully.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It is so sweet and heartfelt. For anyone looking for a loveable but quick read – this is it!

Hudson

“What if I could help you?”

I have no idea what the hell I was thinking. The words just
leaped out of my mouth. Listening to Gracie talk about kicking off her granny panties
and popping her cherry with some random Internet dick…I guess it drove me
temporarily insane.

But there’s no taking back the idea now. Gracie sucks in her
breath, blinking wide-eyed. “What do you mean?” she asks.

What do I mean? Here I am, sitting next to the world’s most
beautiful girl—drowning in her eyes, her scent, the gentle puff of her breath
on my mouth that begs me to close the distance. I know what I want, but I also
know what will happen if I take it. My best friend will rip off my balls and
feed them to me. And I’ll probably deserve every second.

well how to tell when a woman wants me.
