I sneak closer to the bed, my heart pounding as I throw the pillow at him. The guy shifts in his sleep, and his breathing slows, but a beat later the snoring starts again and I have to resist the urge to scream. Instead, I raise my poker and jab the sheet covered body. It’s not hard, just a quick jab or two, but he still doesn’t stir.

“Hey, asshole!” I shout, and whack him hard in the butt with my poker.

The giant freak jumps up and seizes my hand. His grip forces me to drop my weapon. He yanks me toward him—on top of him—and this is how I find myself eye to eye with the beast. He breathes his heavy, stinking breath on my face, and I wince and wrinkle my nose.

Leo’s eyes crinkle in the corners as he laughs. “Morning, Pop Tart.”

“Get the hell out of my bed. And brush your goddamn teeth. What are you doing in my house, Nass?”

“Ah, still feisty, huh? Is this like an all-day thing with you, or do you eventually turn from an angry sea witch into a person? Would coffee help?”

“Fuck you, Leo.”

“Darlin’, you wish.”

“You’re disgusting. I wouldn’t touch you if—”

“Yeah, yeah, if I were the last man on Earth. I’ve heard it all before, sweet cheeks, and I don’t buy it for a second.” He flips us so suddenly my head spins. I’m beneath him, my wrists pinioned to the bed above my head by just one of his strong hands. The other glides up my side. My sheets have twisted up around us, but from this angle it looks as if Leo Nass is very much naked in my bed.

“Goddamn it,” I complain once I find my voice. “I’m going to need to burn these sheets after you leave.”

His eyebrow quirks, and the grin he gives me is all-out salacious. He shifts his weight between my legs, then he drops his hips and grinds his erection against me. I’m stunned, speechless. I have no words. Carmen Jenner, bravo on this one!! I loved every bit of this book.

I was not sure what to expect when I started this book, as this is only my second book by Carmen, but I know that I enjoyed her writing on the first book I read. So I at least knew I would enjoy the writing; but I absolutely loved this whole story.

“Nass the Ass”

Those three words will forever be stuck in my head and will always remind of this book and why it is so great. “Nass the Ass” is Leo Nass, Poppy’s archnemeis and best friend of her now ex-fiancé. The ex-fiancé’s who’s wedding she is now assisting to her best friend, well now, ex-best friend. And let me make it clear that Poppy is not letting them walk all over her with this one. She’s doing it to keep her job and also get that damn promotion she’s wanted. So, Poppy is being the bigger person and taking one for the team.

But not only is she coordinating this wedding, her supposed best friend wants Poppy to be her maid of honor!! Oh people, let me tell you it’s just getting started. To top it all off, Leo is bestman. So everyone that Poppy would prefer to never deal with again, they’re all front and center of her life right now. And it’s quite the spectacle. LOL

I loved the interactions and banter between everyone. I don’t think there was a time I was not double over laughing at something. And it wasn’t anything too over the top or too cheesy either. It felt all flowed naturally with these characters and I felt like I was watching a TV show or movie play out.

This is one book that I highly urge EVERYONE to read!!

Yea, that about sums up this book. LOL Samantha, you definitely have a way with words and turning them into a beautiful story.

Ruin was a beautiful story that kept my attention from start to finish. Yes, it has your typical angsty romance stuff, but it’s these characters and getting sucked into their lives that makes it stand out. Samantha takes a story and makes it so much more with her words, brings life to the story.

Zeus and Cam were high school sweethearts. They both followed their dreams – she goes off to Julliard and he finds himself climbing the charts in boxing. But they keep moving further apart until one day, it all comes crashing down around them.

Five years later, Zeus finds Cam and things are forever changed again. They have both grown up and moved on with their lives. Cam has built a wall around her heart and refuses to allow Z back in. Zeus will stop at nothing to show why he came back to her.

This is an extremely fast-paced, angsty read and I absolutely loved every second of it. The story of a second chance romance where things move really fast, normally isn’t my cup of tea, but I have to admit that I was sucked into this story from the get-go.

Zeus is all alpha and never backs down from anyone or anything. Cam is just as stubborn and doesn’t make anything easy for Zeus. Watching these two together is like watching dynamite and fireworks going off constantly; their arguments are explosive but their chemistry is off the charts wild and uncontainable.

Someone is ringing my fucking doorbell. I was at the hospital until the wee hours, I was finally in a deep, lovely sleep, and someone is ringing the bell.

“Sure.” I back up and gesture him into the room. “Sorry, I was sleeping pretty good. My energy level is about equal to a sloth on Xanax.”

“I can leave and let you go back to bed.”

His eyes roam up and down my body, reminding me that I’m just in a robe and nothing else. His green eyes are hot, and every muscle in his body is tight.

Even sleep deprived, I can tell when a man is in the mood.

“You’ve brought me coffee. I’ll never kick you out when you’ve done that.”

“I’ll remember that,” he says with a chuckle.

“Besides, I have plenty of room.” I turn and walk into my bedroom, glancing behind me to see that he’s following me. He makes a hand gesture at Sadie, which I assume means stay. “We can take a nap,” I suggest.

His lips twitch, but he doesn’t say anything when he joins me next to the bed. He takes my coffee and sets both of our cups on the bedside table.

“Is that what you want, Hannah?” he murmurs and skims his fingertips down my arms.

“Eventually.”

Review:

I have been a HUGE fan of this series since the very first book, so to say I was super hyped for this newest installment would be an understatement and after finishing reading it I can say it felt just like I thought it would. Like coming home.

From the very first page I fell in love with Hannah and Brad. I loved their easy banter and their comfortable and familiar attraction. It was all just so honest and came with a delicious simplicity that a lot of book relationships don’t have these days. There was an ease about these two that I just adored and it was so natural and uncomplicated. They both work crazy hours, but each understood it and worked with it. They took care of one another when there were tough times and when things were difficult. There was a beautiful mutual respect and admiration they shared and I loved it so much.

That’s not to say there wasn’t a bit of turmoil when Hannah has to comes to terms with some issues that have been plaguing her for quite some time. But having Brad by her side made that task a manageable feat. Man, I just love that sheriff!

Of course, in addition to all of that, the heat and chemistry between them is off the charts delicious and I ate it up with a spoon! Totally swoon worthy!

And I would be remiss if I didn’t say how happy I was to see our fave characters from the rest of the series as Hannah and Brad’s story was told. I love this town so so so much!

Thank you, Ms. Proby, for bringing us back to one of my favorite towns with some of my favorite characters!

This series is EVERYTHING!!

Up In Smoke is book 8 in the series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. And if you are a fan of this series or T.M. Frazier, you will love this book as much as I did.

I have been dying for Smoke’s book since he first appeared in previous books. He’s a dangerous and ruthless man that works in the shadows. He’s a hitman that has no qualms about his job or the people he is hired to kill. He’s in and out like the wind, or his case, smoke. However, someone chose to cross him and take someone important to him. Smoke is on mission to exact his revenge on Frank Helburn.

Frankie is the only lead that Smoke has on Frank, so he decides to use her as bait. However, Frankie is more than what Smoke perceived. Frankie ranks right up there with Rage as a fave heroine of mine from this series. She may seem mousy, but she’s a crafty little fighter. Frankie gives Smoke a run for his money and makes him crazy insane at the same time.

This story had me glued to the pages from the start. It’s gritty, dark, fast paced and action packed; it was impossible to stop reading. The interactions between Frankie and Smoke were intense, raw and hot. I love that Frankie challenged him and never cowered from him. Smoke didn’t bend to her seductive ways and constantly made her remember that she is his to do what he wanted with, his property.

” ‘It’s only fair that I break you,’ Smoke groans, seating himself fully inside me. He looks me in the eyes. ‘Since you’ve already broken me.’ “

Frazier once again writes a superb dark and gritty romance with so many twists and turns that you never want the damn book to end. This series is a one of kind and one I highly recommend. If you like your characters dirty, honest and wild, then these books are for you!

My Review:

Lisa Kleypas has always been known for her beloved historical romances, her gorgeous written style, and her impeccable research into the fascinating crevices and hidden places of history. From the Wallflowers to the Hathaways, now to the infamous Ravenels… in this series we’ve seen the return of fan favorites, a female entrepreneur, and an owner of a wonderland Harrods-like department store. And with Hello Stranger, we have the truly unique combination of doctor heroine (inspired directly by the first ever in Britain’s history!) and undercover spy hero. My Review:

Ok, so before I start this review I have to let you guys know that this series (and author) are near and dear to my heart. Now, you may think that will color my review but I can assure you that if this latest installment wasn’t as amazing as I was hoping it would be, I just wouldn’t way anything about it. But, that was SO not the case. Hawkyn was everything I knew it would be and a bag of chips. Yup, it was that good.

Here’s the thing about Larissa Ione’s writing, her world building, her characters, her storylines are second to none. With this newest release I was brought right back into why I fell in love with this series all those years ago. Hawkyn is a delicious alpha male with a heart of gold and a sense of duty that had me swooning like a love-sick teenager. Aurora is a gal I would love to hang out with and has a strong personality with a wit about her I loved. She’s thrown into this new world and reacts EXACTLY like we all would, asking the kind of questions we would (like, “can I see your wings?”) and her inner monologue had me chuckling out loud.

I was SO pulling for these two to somehow beat the incredible odds stacked against them from the very beginning. I won’t ruin anything for you but if you know Larissa’s writing, you know there’s always a way 😉

I also have to say that I was thrilled to get more of Azagoth! Although now I’m a nervous wreck for him and Lilliana. Yep, I just totally left you with a cliffhanger there…

Reading this novella was like coming home and it totally gave me the urge to re read the entire series, which I’ll be starting as soon as I finish typing this!

Whether you’re already a fan of Ms. Ione or this is your first taste, I know you’ll love Hawkyn as much as I did!

My heart hurt for Chase. This man not only lost his wife, Mil, but she betrayed the family. I wasn’t sure how Rachel was going to pull this off because Mil is major player in this series and she’s gone now. And Chase is now out for revenge and not the man we once knew and loved. He is man without a soul and to see the darkness take over his light, it just broke my heart.

Luciana (Luc) steps in when the families need a new lawyer. Only because this job will help her family, she takes it without any research on the families or what she’s about to step into. Luc surprised me – she may be totally clueless to the mafia lifestyle but she is her own person. She is quiet and kind but knows how to hold her own when it comes to these mafia peeps, especially Chase.

Luc finds herself having to stay at Chase’s place because the majority of everything she needs is at his house. So while she is doing what she is hired to do, she also has to deal with Chase and he constant battering of wanting to shoot her every time he sees her. But she never once backs down from him. In her own way, she takes care of him and brings the light slowly back into his life. I don’t want to say much more other than these two together were so much more than I expected.

Eulogy was more than I anticipated and blew my expectations away. Rachel delivers an action-pack and emotional story. And like I have to come to expect, she throws another unexpected twist that has left me going “OMFG!!!”

Another remarkable installment in Rachel’s Eagle Elite series. I truly never want this series to end. Bring on the next book!!!!

My Review:

I’ve got three words for you: So. Damn. GOOD!

That about sums it up.

I mean when you enter Kristen Ashley’s Chaos world (as with any of her worlds, if I’m being honest) you KNOW you’re guaranteed to have one helluva sexy alpha male, a heroine you’d love to have as a gal pal, tons of emotion and sexiness, and a storyline you won’t be able to stop thinking about long after you’ve finished reading. This novella has all of that and then some. I loved these two. LOVED THEM!

My heart was breaking for Rosalie form the very first words written on the very first page. Her journey is not an easy one, physically or emotionally. Her story starts out just plain horribly, but if you know anything about Kristen Ashley you know this gal is going to get her happily ever after…

Enter Snapper.

My good God. I love this man! When he’s described as the biker-boy-next-door, that truly is exactly who he is. He’s kind and respectful. He’s smart and has a huge heart. And he’s also all sorts of alpha male biker goodness. I mean the guy has that delicious biker exterior and loves to read books. How can you NOT love him?! And he treats his Rosalie like the best gift he’s ever received. Yep, I’m totally smitten!

Together he and Rosalie are just spectacular. I loved their journey from friends and confidants to lovers. They are just so special. I can’t tell you how many times I had an honest to goodness pain in my chest reading their story and just how damn happy I was when I reached the end and saw how they ended up. This novella is hella swoonworthy to the extreme!

Whether you’re already a Kristen Ashley fan, or this is your first taste, I know you will love this book as much as I did!

Biography:

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). “Hmm?” He dragged his gaze up to her mouth. The wicked curve of her lips was matched only by the words she threw into the space between them with such abandon. The woman wouldn’t know caution if it slapped her in the face.
“You’re dragging me to your cave to be your Bride of Frankenstein.” She shifted closer, her bare leg sliding over his slacks until her thigh came into contact with his cock.
He should move her. Set her back and explain that no matter what she thought of the situation, she wasn’t in control. But the ring he’d put on her finger winked at him, a reminder that Keira wasn’t the sister of his enemy anymore. She was his.
Or she would be in a few short hours.
He bracketed her thigh with a hand, keeping her in place, but didn’t touch her anywhere else. There was no masking his reaction to her, not in their position. Dmitri didn’t bother trying. “Calling me Frankenstein is more than a bit dramatic.”
She looked up at him, her eyes holding a question he didn’t have a satisfying answer to. “I think it’s time to stop being in denial, don’t you?”
He recognized the direction she was headed. “You know I want you. I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t.”
Just like that, the shutters slammed down on her expression. She sat back and he let her go, watching her pull herself together. Her spine went ramrod straight, and she stared at the back of the driver’s head rather than at Dmitri. She crossed her arms over her chest. “No lies between us. That’s what you said. You want me, sure, but don’t pretend any of this bullshit has to do with sex. You need to prove what an international badass you are by marrying the sister of your enemy. An eye for an eye—a wife and a sister. Remember?”
He knew exactly what she was quoting. The note he’d had delivered to Aiden O’Malley just over a year ago. By my count, you owe me both a wife and a sister. I’ll be content with one of yours. He hadn’t realized Keira had seen it.
Twin possibilities spun out between them. She was scared and vulnerable, and if he told her that it was her he wanted and not what she represented, she would believe him. It would even be the truth, at least in part. He hadn’t been able to get Keira out of his head from the moment he met her, and he’d manipulated events to ensure they reached this exact moment.
Telling her that wasn’t telling her the full truth, though. This wasn’t some great love story where he’d been pining for her while her family kept them apart. Dmitri wanted her, yes. He craved the feeling of her body beneath his hands, her taste on his tongue, and her smart mouth around his cock.
But his craving her had no real relevance in the grand scheme of things. He needed one of the O’Malley daughters to regain his status after the blows the family had dealt him over the last two years. Keira was the only option left.
Liar.
It didn’t matter what the truth was, full or otherwise. What mattered was ensuring Keira toed the line. He sat back, trying to ignore the throbbing of his cock, and studied her. “You knew what this was when you climbed out your window and stepped between me and your brother.”
She finally met his gaze, her hazel eyes fiery in their defiance. “Yes, I did.”

YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! Katee, you killed it with this one!!! Loved every damn word of this book.

Can I leave my review at that?? I mean seriously, this book was everything I expected and more.

I have been dying for Dmitri and Kiera’s book for what seems like forever. Keira is the baby of the O’Malley’s, the one they all protected. Dmitri has been the villain in this series since he was first introduced to us. But he was so much more than that.

Keira has been on this downward spiral since her one brother’s death. She felt she had no value in life or to her family. She would pass the time by getting high and drunk all day long.

Dmitri has a complicated past which makes him walk this path of right and wrong, good and bad. But there was this connection with Keira that he could not fight. He wanted Keira as his own, but where she saw it as a possession, he saw it as a woman he couldn’t bear to be without.

I loved watching this whole marriage grow as the story moved forward. The push and pull between these two was strong. It may have taken them awhile to truly see they were made for one another, but it was damn intense watching it all play out. Katee always gives us the tension filled romance that ties into the family drama and suspense perfectly. It’s like a twisted maze where everything is intertwined and lines up perfectly in the end.

Katee does a phenomenal job of developing her characters and keeping them all true to themselves and not changing based on others that come into their lives. In this book, Keira does grow and become the woman that Dmitri has always known her to be, but she herself never truly changes, she becomes a better version. And for that, I am truly thankfully that Katee stays true to her characters.

This series has been one hell of an amazing ride. I have loved just about every single book that is about each sibling but the main storyline that plays on throughout each book is just amazing. I know it’s said that each book can be read as a standalone and they can be, but I highly recommend starting from the beginning to get the true feel of this family and each of their stories.

Katee, thank you for writing a series that I found myself getting deeper and deeper into with each book. Thank you for writing characters that were deep and intriguing. This is one series that will stay with me forever.

This book was so much more than I anticipated. Amy definitely out did herself with Follow Me Back. I really have no idea where to start this book. Amy put my heart through a gamut of emotions on this one.

I am not going to give you a rundown on this book – you need to go into this book with just the blurb or not even that. And not because the book is so much more powerful not knowing anything, but I think even the tiniest spoiler gives away too much of this book.

Evan stole my heart in this book – he lit up my world reading this book. He loves with his whole heart and there is nothing better than that.

Hope is one of the strongest and bravest woman ever. She’s a mama bear not to be messed with. You can hurt her all you want, just don’t ever hurt the ones she loves, especially her son.

Kale – oh this man gave me whip lash. And Amy, don’t get mad at me but I truly hated him at one point in this book. I know he had his reasons for what he did, but I just couldn’t forgive him for it. I still have a hard time dealing with his choices but For Hope and Evan, I won’t kick his ass.

See, these characters became like family to me. I got all tangled up in their lives and want to defend them. Amy wrote an amazing and emotional story. Evan will captivate your heart and Hope will become your best friend that you will do anything for.

There have been many books over the years that make me feel a lot – make me cry, make me laugh and make me smile whole heartedly.
