review

I have read many, many, many books by the extremely talented Rachel Van Dyken. And I know she can be very hilarious, including in her writing. However, this book just had me howling – ALOT!!

Now I know some people feel that authors can go overboard with the witty commentary or the humor just gets too over the top. But I am telling that you Rachel nails it!! It’s been awhile since I have loved characters like I do in this series. And you want to know a secret (just don’t tell Rachel) this is the first book in this series that I have read. SHHH. So yes, all these books can be read as a standalone.

But let me tell you – I have fallen in love with every single one of these characters. They all have their unique qualities that Rachel has written so well. I want each of them as my friend in real life. These characters are so freaking awesome. They truly make the story that much more interesting.

So yea – the story, the book. Rachel wrote an endearing yet funny story. Jordan is Reid’s publicist and has to help him maintain his image with a new movie coming out. Reid hasn’t really been the same since an unfortunate incident. Well when Jordan tries to fix his image, we’ll just say that things (or people) sort of throw her some curve balls. Cue many awkward scenarios, LOTS of laughs and possibly some oh shit moments and you have yourself one hell of story that Rachel wrote phenomenally.

I can’t say enough about how much I love this book and everything about it. I will definitely be diving right into the other books in this series so I can continue this awesome buzz I have going after reading this book!

Max jumped onto the couch and held up his hands. “Before you do this, remember, our mother has a Jesus sticker on her car. What would she say?”

“Must you bring her into everything?” Reid roared, stopping in front of the couch, chest heaving.

Max shrugged. “It’s not my fault I’m her favorite son.”

“Says who?”

“Mom. This morning.”

“Was this before or after you added vodka to her coffee and slipped her a pill?”

Max gasped.

Becca made her way around the brothers and motioned for me to walk with her toward the kitchen. No words were spoken. She simply popped the cork from the wine bottle and poured what looked like three servings into a glass and slid it toward me. “Believe me, it helps.”

I took the glass and sipped while she drank straight from the bottle. “Does he ever . . . stop being . . . Max?” I asked. “Curious minds want to know.”

Max jumped off the couch, and naturally he made his own swish sound effect before landing on his feet, thrusting his hands into the air, and turning toward Reid. “I’ve been her favorite ever since I won at gymnastics.”

“You don’t win at gymnastics,” Reid said through clenched teeth. “You get scored.”

“Perfect ten.” Max winked back at us, then covered his mouth and said, “Zero,” while pointing to Reid.

“We were six!” Reid argued.

“Dude!” Max held up his hands. “I’m just saying, it’s not your fault you’re not the favorite. Let it go, man, just like Rose let go of Jack.”

“Who’s Jack?” I whispered.

Becca choked on her wine. “Oh, well, uh, last year Reid had a momentary breakdown because of Max peer pressuring me to shoot Reid in the ass with a tranq gun . . . he spent an hour singing ‘My Heart Will Go On.’” I winced. “Off-key.”

“Damn you!” Reid turned on his heel and thrust his finger in our direction. “What did I ever do to you!” I think he was talking to Becca. “I hit on you once, one time—”

“—thrice.” Max coughed.

“And the only reason was so that I could get back at this one.” He jerked his hand back to Max, nearly hitting him in the face. “Because he told Grandma the lock on my door was broken. I was taken advantage of!”

“Well, it was!” Max rolled his eyes.

“Because you took a sledgehammer to it, you bastard!”

Max grinned. “Guilty.”

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what they were talking about. So I did what any sane girl would do. I drank.

And when my glass was nearly empty, Becca very kindly refilled it while Reid and Max continued pacing around the living room.

“You think if we chant fight, they’ll take their shirts off?” Becca asked.

I eyed Reid’s near perfect physique. “One can only hope.”

“Dirty girls,” Max shouted. “Both of you! Jezebel! I won’t have you poisoning her mind!”

“Oh, please.” I rolled my eyes. “And stop calling me a whore!”

“Term of endearment when Max says it.” Becca patted my hand. “Next time just say thank you. It’s easier that way.”

I glanced back at the guys just in time to see Reid launch himself at Max, hands wrapped tightly around his neck, holding him against the couch while Max screamed. “Help, help!”

“We should probably intervene.” Becca took a long sip of wine and set her glass down on the table, then yawned.

“Yeah.” Max started turning purple. “We probably should. What do you normally do? Take off your top? Blow a whistle? Call the cops?”

“Cops refuse to come when Emorys call—believe me, it’s like the whole McDonald’s thing. Public service refuses to help them now.”

“Makes sense.”

Max made a choking noise while he tried to kick Reid in the shin.

“Oh, well.” Becca walked slowly toward the guys. I followed. I expected her to gently ask them to stop fighting and separate them.

Instead, she punched Reid in the face and then separated them.

He stumbled back.

I caught him and fell backward against the other couch while he rubbed his face and whispered, “My hero.”

“My lungs broke your fall,” I wheezed.

Max gasped for air. “You know my biggest fear is not breathing!”

“Not breathing?” I had to ask, I just had to.

Reid chuckled. “For six years Max was convinced every food was going to cause him to go into anaphylactic shock because Oprah did a segment where some chick nearly died after eating a kiwi!”

“A kiwi!” Max repeated hoarsely. “Who dies from kiwi? That chick.” He shook his head vigorously. “I refuse to go down eating.”

Reid moved off me and sat back on the couch. “He took Benadryl every time he ate fruit.”

Max narrowed his eyes. “Make fun now, but we both know that watermelon gave me hives! My throat closed, you bastard!”

“Maybe if you took smaller bites . . .” Reid said helpfully.

Max lunged again.

Becca grabbed him by the shirt and tugged him back onto his own couch. “No more fighting, we have engagement pictures tomorrow.”

Searching For Mine by Jennifer Probst…ARC Review

Searching For Mine releases tomorrow, 2/9/16

3_1001_2016_Jennifer Probst_300dpi

Synopsis:

The Ultimate Anti-Hero Meets His Match…

Connor Dunkle knows what he wants in a woman, and it’s the three B’s. Beauty. Body. Boobs. Other women need not apply. With his good looks and easygoing charm, he’s used to getting what he wants—and who. Until he comes face to face with the one woman who’s slowly making his life hell…and enjoying every moment…

Ella Blake is a single mom and a professor at the local Verily college who’s climbed up the ranks the hard way. Her ten-year-old son is a constant challenge, and her students are driving her crazy—namely Connor Dunkle, who’s failing her class and trying to charm his way into a better grade. Fuming at his chauvinistic tendencies, Ella teaches him the ultimate lesson by giving him a special project to help his grade. When sparks fly, neither of them are ready to face their true feelings, but will love teach them the ultimate lesson of all?

My Review:

Searching For Mine is part of author Jennifer Probst’s Searching For series as well as novella number three in the 2016 1,001 Dark Nights lineup.  I am a huge fan of the Searching For series and was dying for Connor’s story and it was so…damn…GOOD!  I actually put my ear buds in and ignored all things around me because I was that into this story (sorry, family!).

Connor Dunkle and Ella Blake are two people who have many goals in life…none of which are finding love or a relationship.  Ah, but fate, that fickle gal, has a plan for these two.

Connor just wants to get finished with college and get into the management field with his company and the only thing standing in his way is this pain in the arse english lit course and the professor teaching it.  She’s challenging him at every turn and isn’t making anything easy for him.  He really wanted to hate her for all of that but after he realizes she lives in his complex and after they start spending some unplanned time together his feelings go in a completely different direction.

The last thing Ella wants to do is give the sexy student in her class the kind of treatment he’s undoubtedly used to: getting his way when it comes to women.  It didn’t matter to her that he was handsome and sexy and very much her age, he would have to work just as hard as every other student in her class. Plus being a single mom the last thing she needed was to spend time she didn’t have daydreaming about him.  Easier said than done when she finds out he lives practically next door and soon becomes a fixture in her, and her son’s, life.

From start to finish, everything about this novella was pure magic.  I adored these characters.  Ella is a strong heroine with a smart head on her shoulders.  She’s resilient and tough without being too hard.  I loved her roles as professor, mother, and woman.  She truly balances them all so well and she was a joy to read.  Connor had me swooning over his gruff, sexy exterior and hidden vulnerable side.  The layers that make him up are all equally complex and relatable.  I found my heart breaking for him more than once while reading this story and I wanted him to find happiness so badly.  Both he and Ella deserved so much in life and love and the rough journey that’s led them to where they are when this story picks up was hard but necessary in helping them realize what they’ve found is truly something special.

Oh, and the ending?  Once again Ms. Probst knocked my socks off with a movie-worthy finish! Crying big fat happy tears, I loved it!

This was a novella I shamelessly texted my friend Liz over as I read and one I highly recommend.  Whether you’re already a fan of this series or this is your gateway novella, I know you’ll love Ella and Connor as much as I did!  Thank you. Ms. Probst, for another magical and beautiful love story!

Stark After Dark by J. Kenner…ARC Review

Stark After Dark releases tomorrow, 2/9/16

SSAD

Synopsis:

What happens after she says “yes”? Together in print for the first time, these four novellas—Take Me, Have Me, Play My Game, and Seduce Me—continue the story of billionaire Damien Stark and his fiancée, Nikki Fairchild, from J. Kenner’s Stark Trilogy: Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me. STARK AFTER DARK (Bantam Trade Paperback; On Sale 2/9/16) follows the happy couple from their steamy engagement into wedded bliss, this addictive collection is perfect for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey and Bared to You.

I’ve long dreamed of my fairy-tale wedding, but it wasn’t until I met Damien Stark—who captured me with his kisses and undid me with his touch—that I began to believe it was my destiny. Though we both carry secrets and scars, our shared passion heals us, binding us together. We have surrendered to each other completely, and our mutual ecstasy is the brightest light in my life.

But darkness still snakes through the cracks in our armor. Ghosts from our past have moved in, bringing fresh pain that cuts deep and threatens to destroy everything we hold dear.

Damien is my anchor to this world, and I am his. But if we are going to keep each other, we have to fight the shadows of our pasts to move forward into our future.

Review:

I was scared, y’all, legit scared when Jillian asked me if I wanted to review this anthology. In my eyes it already had three strikes against it: I thought I was over the billionaire trope; promo material said it was for people that liked the 50 Shades and Crossfire series and I didn’t  make it past the first book in either of those; I hadn’t read the original Stark trilogy and I HATE reading out of order.

But I like to challenge my long-held beliefs about reading.

And boy am I glad I did. Like, really glad.

I found these four stories to be the perfect mix of sweet & swoony romance, hot sex scenes, interesting secondary characters, family drama, and suspense. The pacing was spot on. Kenner gives the reader some engaging story, a hot sex scene, throws in a wrinkle or two, hot sex scene, hero comes to the rescue at just the right time looking like sex on a stick, naturally, which leads to another hot sex scene. I was never bored.

I loved each of these novellas. If you’ve read the original Stark trilogy, you’ll love following Nikki and Damien through their wedding and honeymoon with some romance, adventure, and role-playing fun thrown in.  And even if you haven’t read the original trilogy (like me!), you’ll still enjoy this stories. I’m planning to go back and read the first three books because I’m totally invested in this couple at this point. Plus, they keep referencing Damien paying Nikki one million dollars to pose nude and I SO NEED TO READ THAT.

Liberty States Create Something Magical Conference Speaker Interview Series: Harper Miller

LSFW Interview series graphic

Today the Liberty States Create Something Magical Conference Speaker Interview Series continues with author Harper Miller:

    1. What made you want to become a writer?

Two things: First, my sucky dating life. When I say sucky, I really mean shitty (wait, can I curse? Oopsie). I can’t find the perfect guy, so I write different versions of him. Fewer headaches, of course, since the guy always leaves the toilet seat down, and he communicates effectively. I’m sure somewhere in the world my version of Mr. Right exists. I may never cross paths with him, so I write him instead, a win overall.

Also, I began writing because there is a significant lack of diversity represented in the romance genre.

When we see current lists of “Must Reads Romances” rarely if ever do, these lists feature authors of color. If so, it’s always the same author as if that’s the ONLY author writing romance.

There are many of us, but sadly our stories aren’t being lauded as much as others. I also became tired of seeing the same types of douchey heroes in my reads. The guy is usually borderline abusive but written as the sexy Alpha male. There’s being a dreamy Alpha male and being a douchebag. The douchebags were winning so I wrote what I wanted to see represented in romance. #teamsensitiveAlphaheroeswithgreatbedroomskills

    1. Is there one piece of advice you would give an aspiring writer?

Absolutely. Write what you wish to see in books. If it’s not there, create it. Stay true to your vision. Don’t allow what’s popular, what another author is doing, or what you feel you should write to get noticed impact your view. Take risks, it’ll pay off. Readers can feel your authenticity in the pages.

    1. If you could co-write a book with any author, dead or alive, who would it be?

Oh wow, living, I’d say Zadie Smith. I love how she incorporates different cultures into her writing. I always end up learning cool British colloquialisms too! Dead, hmm, probably Octavia Butler. I’m nowhere near being as talented as either of these ladies, but a gal can dream.

    1. Who is on your bookshelf?

I’m halfway through Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Before that, I read Aleksandr Voinov’s Dark Soul: The Complete Collection. Talk about a crazy ride! I’ve also recently ordered a bunch of paperbacks off Amazon, which include: The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle, Caucasia by Danzy Senna, Black Women’s Lives by Kristal Brent Zook, and The Darkest Child by Delores Phillips. If we were to start talking about my e-book bookshelf, this list would be miles longer. That’s usually a list that includes all of my romance reads.

    1. Can you tell us about one of the most memorable moments in your writing career thus far?

Sure. Hitting #1 in my category (Interracial Erotica) on Amazon when I released my debut novel, The Sweetest Taboo: An Unconventional Romance is hands down my most memorable moment. Never happens for a first-time indie author right out the gate as far as I know. I hadn’t expected it, and it was a very humbling and surreal moment. I would’ve been happy if ten people purchased my book but to have that amount of support from complete strangers, ah-may-zing! Authors promote their work tirelessly completely unaware as to how far their reach may be. When things like that happen, you’re overjoyed thinking, “Wow, someone was paying attention after all.” Quickly followed by, “Yay, I don’t suck!”

    1. Tell us about your newest release/current work in progress.

My most recent release is the third installment in a series I’ve penned called the Kinky Connect Chronicles. Entwined, was published in November of 2015. If you’re looking for a quick and raunchy little tale, it may be up your alley.

I currently have three WIPs. I hope to stagger releases in the upcoming months which means a lot less interaction on social media and more writing during these chilly months. My next release, Complexity, is the fourth installment in the Kinky Connect Chronicles. It will also be my first time dipping my toe into the gay erotica/erotic romance subgenre. I’m a bit scared but ridiculously excited. I think at this stage my fan base knows that I’m going to give them something slightly different with each new book I publish. M/M erotica may not be for everyone, but then again, you never know who might suddenly decide to pick up a story simply out of intrigue.

After that, I intend to release a clean and sweet romance. Something my mother can read since she’s always asking me when she can read my work. LOL, I’ll gladly tell my parents I pen erotica but to have them read my stuff? Oh, no no no. Noooooo. Did I say no enough?

    Bio:

Harper AvatarHarper Miller is a thirty-something native New Yorker. She’s traveled the world and lived in a variety of places but always finds her way back to the Big Apple.
A lackluster love life leaves time to explore new interests, for Harper it is writing. The Sweetest Taboo: An Unconventional Romance is her debut novel. In her mind, the perfect Alpha male possesses intellect, humor, and a kinky streak that rivals the size of California.

When she isn’t writing, Harper utilizes her graduate degree in the field of medical research. She enjoys fitness-related activities, drinking copious amounts of wine and going on bad dates.

Blurb

From New York Times Bestselling Author, Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel.

Sharing a summer house with a hot-as-hell roommate should be a dream come true, right?

Not when it’s Justin…the only person I’d ever loved…who now hates me.

When my grandmother died and left me half of the house on Aquidneck Island, there was a catch: the other half would go to the boy she helped raise.

The same boy who turned into the teenager whose heart I broke years ago.

The same teenager who’s now a man with a hard body and a hardass personality to match.

I hadn’t seen him in years, and now we’re living together because neither one of us is willing to give up the house.

The worst part? He didn’t come alone.

I’d soon realize there’s a thin line between love and hate. I could see through that smug smile. Beneath it all…the boy is still there. So is our connection.

The problem is…now that I can’t have Justin, I’ve never wanted him more.

Author’s note – RoomHate is a full-length standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18

RoomHate Excerpt

Copyright © 2016 by Penelope Ward

My heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest. Watching this whole thing unfold had made me totally lose sense of reality. I felt like I’d been experiencing every movement, every feeling right along with him, except I wasn’t allowed to come. It was as if I’d seriously lost my mind in the process. That was the only thing that could possibly explain why my body decided to betray me, letting out an involuntary sigh….moan? I wasn’t sure and couldn’t even tell you what it was except to say whatever sound I made caused Justin to jump back. His head whipped toward me, and his shocked eyes met mine for a brief second before I ran back down the stairs.

Humiliated.

Mortified.

My heart felt like it was in my mouth. Escaping out the front door and down to the water, I continued to run aimlessly on the sand. At one point, about a mile down the beach, it became necessary to stop and catch my breath, even though I wanted to keep running. I’d gotten so wrapped up in Justin that I’d forgotten how sick I was this afternoon. It was all hitting me again as I stumbled over to the shoreline and vomited into the ocean.

I collapsed into the sand and must have sat there for over an hour. The sun was starting to go down, and the tide was coming in. It felt like everything was closing in on me. I knew I couldn’t avoid going home forever.

What if he told Jade what I’d done?

That I was watching him.

Oh God.

He was going to crucify me for this.

What excuse could I possibly give him that would explain why I was hiding behind his door, watching him ejaculate like it was a Fourth of July fireworks performance?

I decided that I needed to get home before Jade did. Maybe I could convince him not to say anything. Brushing the sand off my thighs, I made my way back over to the house.

My heart nearly stopped upon finding Justin standing in the kitchen, drinking out of a half-gallon of orange juice. I stood silently behind him and watched as he put the container back.

Justin turned around and finally noticed me standing there. His hair was wet, making it appear brown instead of blonde. He must have taken a shower to wash away the awkwardness of our encounter. Looking painfully handsome in a brown distressed t-shirt that fit his chest like a glove, he just stared me down.

Here it comes.

I braced myself for his humiliating words. My heart was beating out of my chest as he just continued to look at me blankly without saying anything. He slowly walked toward me, and all of the muscles in my body tightened. He was going to get in my face and do it.

Shit.

Music in my head, dance in my body, the rhythm of my heart.

How far can you fall in just one month? How quickly can the human spirit be broken? Where does evil hide in plain sight?

Ash wants to dance. Needs it. To leave behind a life of expectation and duty, to set his soul free.

But life is never that simple. Every step is a journey on a new road.

For every action, there is a reaction.

Every choice has a consequence.

And when you meet the wrong person, all bets are off.

Laney tolerates her limitations, pushing quietly at boundaries. But when Ash crashes into her world through rage and violence, it sets off a chain reaction that neither of them expected.

Laney POV

“Hi, I’m Ash. Are you by yourself?”

It was hard to be sure over the pounding music, but it sounded as if he had an accent. Something Eastern European, perhaps Russian? Polish?

I gave him a polite but closed smile, a cool smile that hid all warmth, a smile for slow servers and rude cab drivers. A smile for men I didn’t trust.

“No. I’m here with my friends.”

The man looked around him, then shrugged theatrically. “I don’t see them. Would you like to dance?”

And he held out his hand, obviously assuming that I would say yes.

I laughed.

“No, I’m not dancing.”

He frowned, his hand still suspended between us. “But you like to dance?”

I stopped laughing and stared, my gaze sinking into his, puzzled, annoyed.

“What makes you think I like to dance?”

He shrugged again and his hand fell to his side.

“You’re in a nightclub, and you’re not drinking. So you must be here to dance. Please, dance with me.”

He held out his hand again, but I shook my head impatiently. “Then go find someone who will dance with you.”

His eyes widened with surprise, and then he grinned as he leaned on the table, his perfect face inches from mine. “Maybe I want to dance with you.”

“Then you’ll be waiting a long time.”

He cocked his head to one side and I noticed a small beauty spot, shaped like a teardrop beneath his left eye—a perfect imperfection. Up close I could see that he was younger than I’d thought, younger than me perhaps, maybe early twenties. My eyes dropped to his lips and then to his throat. I could see a thin silver chain around his neck.

“I’m a good dancer,” he said, looking almost wounded at my continued refusal.

He wasn’t lying, but my anger, smoldering beneath the surface, ignited.

“I’m not dancing!”

“But everyone comes here to dance,” he insisted, his intense dark eyes so focused, it was unnerving.

“Not me,” I insisted.

He was making me anxious now and I glanced around for my friends.

“You’ll have a good time.”

“I don’t doubt it,” I snapped, losing patience. “Your last friend seemed to enjoy herself immensely.”

A dull red flooded his cheeks and he looked away.

His reaction surprised me. I’d hurt his feelings, but I wasn’t sure why.

“Maybe I’d like to dance with a pretty girl for a change,” he said softly, glancing up at me from beneath long dark lashes.

AP - about the author.jpg

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to write. Perhaps it was growing up in a village well known for its mystery and folklore, which sparked my imagination as a child.

I enjoy writing in several different genres, and I’ve just published my first romcom, ‘Dazzled’.

All my books have a little me in them, and I’m inspired by the personal stories of those around me. It’s often from a simple discussion overheard in the train (‘Exposure’), in a café, or in the street, where ideas for characters or scenes come to me.

I fell in love with both Sam (‘The New Samurai’) and the eponymous Sebastian in ‘The Education of Sebastian’ and the sequel ‘The Education of Caroline’, and missed them desperately once I’d finished their stories. I love writing dialogue and always try to include touches of humour in the most poignant stories.

Whether you like adult romance novels, new or young adult writing, thrillers, or fantasy, I hope you’ll enjoy the journey through my stories.

About the Book

Second in an exciting new late Victorian series from RITA Award nominee Alissa Johnson!

Never Trust a Thief

Once a famous officer of Scotland Yard and now a renowned private detective, Sir Samuel Brass has better things to do than shadow a reckless hellion in her misguided quest for atonement. But when the daughter of a notorious criminal—and a former thief herself—returns to London to right an old wrong, Samuel is drawn back into the dangerously exciting world of Esther Walker-Bales. Beautiful and conniving, maddening and brilliant, Esther is everything he shouldn’t want. She’s a liar. She’s a con. She’s a thief. And God help him, but he’d do anything to keep her safe.

Esther knows she’s put herself in terrible danger, but nothing will stop her from making amends that are long past due—not her family’s enemies, not old fears, and certainly not the domineering, interfering and undeniably handsome Sir Samuel Brass. Yet whenever he’s near, Samuel makes her long for a life that can never be hers…and wish she were worthy of being saved.

AP - Synopsis.jpg

Alysia

I’ve lived in shadows all of my life

Feeling empty, but never knowing what I was truly missing

I’ve been taught to hide my talents and be invisible

Until Kendrix walks into my life and sees me. All of me.

I know he is my destiny, but he is holding himself back

There is something he isn’t telling me

I’m afraid when the truth comes out, it will tear us apart

Kendrix

I made a choice to give up my soul and forever alter my destiny

I embraced abilities that I’d kept hidden

But they don’t make up for what I’ve lost

It seems a cruel trick of Fate that I finally met the one who was meant to be mine

And yet, I can never have her

My job is to deceive Alysia and ultimately, to give her up

But the darkness calls to me

Tempting me to hide in the shadows with her forever

Prologue

Kendrix

Hell is often portrayed as a burning pit of fire. However, I’m beginning to wonder if Dante had it right. It seems logical to believe that there are nine levels of hell that are broken down into something like another eighteen circles. Each one different, each one designated to specific sins, and each one with their own unique atmosphere, not all of which are hot  with fire. Where I stand, right now, is one circle of Hell. But, it is cold and dark, filled with misery at knowing what I’ve left behind and what is stretched before me. I do my best no to dwell on what was, because there is no greater pain than remembering times of love and joy, when they are forever out of your reach. You cannot pluck them from the past, and you’ll never find them in your future.

The only thing I have to cling to is my purpose, the reason I made the choice to fall into my own level of Hell.  A small fraction of my soul is tightly gripped, enough to remind me what I must do and why I have no choice but to succeed. Beyond that, I have no comprehension of what my future holds after this assignment. I’m finally embracing my abilities as a fate reader, but I am blind to my own destiny. What I see before me is an eternal stretch of blackness.

Z

I can only try my best not to fully succumb to evil. But, if I’m bound to live in darkness forever, is there really any other choice?

AP - about the author.jpg

I’m a lover of all things books, a hopeless romantic, and have always had a passion for writing. Between being a sappy romantic, my love of an HEA, my crazy imagination, and ok, let’s be real, my dirty mind, I fell easily into writing romance.

I’m a huge baseball fan and yet, a complete girly, girl. I’m an obsessive reader and have a slight (hahaha! Slight? Yeah, right) addiction to signed books.

I’m married to my very own book boyfriend, an alpha male with a sexy, sweet side. He is the best inspiration, my biggest supporter and the love of my life. He is also incredibly patient and understanding about the fact that he has to fight the voices in my head for my attention.

I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them!
