The Secret is the start of Proby’s new Seattle series, Single in Seattle. This is a spin-off from her other Seattle series but you do not need to read those in order to enjoy this series.

I have read the previous Seattle series (the reason I fell in love with Kristen’s writing) and reading this series is like coming home again. Not because I know who these characters are and their lineage but because of Kristen’s story telling. This made me fall in love with her writing again.

I love how Kristen develops these characters and gives depth to their story. It is romantic, sweet and you fall in the them and their story.

The Secret is a complete standalone but does showcase a few cameos. So for those who have read the other series, you will love that. And for those who haven’t, you will want to go read them when you are done with this one.

Kristen knocked the start of this series out of the park. I cannot wait to see more of this generation in future books.

I absolutely love how this story played out. It was completely natural and things happened at the right times. Nothing was over the top, no outlandish dramatics and the flow was superb!

Fair Catch is a phenomenal sports romance. It has the perfect blend of sports, angst, drama and whole lotta steam!! I devoured yet savored this story.

Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.

An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.”

She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.

When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, planning her next adventure, or pole dancing (yes, you read that right). She enjoys live music, traveling, playing with her fur babies and soaking up the sweetness of life.

We met Bevan and Callum in other books but we never got their fully story. Carrie does a wonderful job of introducing these characters as though readers are meeting them for the first time. Carrie gives these characters a lot of depth and readers will enjoy watching them grow.

Bevan an Callum have been raised in two completely different environments. Bevan’s childhood as hardened her in a lot of ways and she never truly dealt with a lot of her issues. Callum did what he thought was best but realized as they got older, that something had to give.

“Bevan has this sire-like pull over me; if I get too close, I’ll taste heaven, but then she’ll send me slamming back down to hell.”

You keep Breaking Us is so much more than a college romance. It’s about growth, maturity and learning to love yourself before fully loving someone else. Bevan and Callum mature and grow both individually and together in this book. Carrie does a phenomenal job of writing this story with as much authenticity while still delivering a beautiful romance.
