I’m not sure how to rate this one..🫤 so it’s right down the middle for me.

Ok. Let me preface this by saying I usually enjoy Whitney’s stories and her characters.
With this one, I enjoyed the FMC much more than the MMC.

The plot line itself is intriguing, and I liked the unknown factors and twists thrown in. However, certain parts could’ve been fleshed out better, and a few things were left unknown.

Readers will definitely see the physical attraction between these two, but it lacked the chemistry beyond that.

Damien is an interesting MMC. He’s an alpha-asshole with a capital A, and his arrogance knows no bounds. But he’s also found himself unable to resist Elizabeth, and he can’t reconcile with himself why.

Elizabeth is a fierce FMC. I love that she takes zero crap from Damien. She holds her own & delivers his wrath back at him. But she’s hiding secrets just like Damien, and those secrets will be their downfall.

Again, there are parts I thoroughly enjoyed with this book. And others that I wanted to see more fleshed out to give the story more depth and a connection not only between the characters but for readers to connect to.

Overall, right down the middle for me.
