Synopsis:

THE MAN SHE HATES TO LOVE

Beckett King just inherited his father’s fortune, his company-and all his enemies. If he’s going to stay on top, he needs someone he can trust beside him. And though they’ve been rivals for years, there’s no one he trusts more than Samara Mallick.

The rebel. That’s how Samara has always thought of Beckett. And he’s absolutely living up to his unpredictable ways when he strides into her office and asks for help. She can’t help wondering if it’s a legit request or just a ploy to get her into bed. Not that she’d mind either one. After all, she likes to live on the edge too.

But soon the threats to the King empire are mounting, and the two find family secrets darker than they ever imagined and dangerous enough to get them both killed.

Praise for The Last King:

“Top Pick! Beckett and Samara are a fantastic, modern couple. They clash in the boardroom and the bedroom, are total equals, and their bring-it-on spirit makes every interaction lively and exciting — whether clothes are on or off. … The heart of this romance is the development of trust between Beckett and Samara, and Robert expertly unfolds it, revealing the emotional connection on both sides under the flash and fire of their irresistible chemistry. 4 1/2 stars.”—RT Book Reviews

What were you thinking about just then?” His gaze fell to her mouth. “Never mind. You don’t have to tell me. It’s written all over your face.”
She licked her lips as he stepped closer, as he backed her against the wall and bracketed her in with his hands on either side of her head. He felt bigger in this position, as if his shoulders could block out the very sun. You have to get him to back off. You’re too close. She leaned against the wall, the move arching her back just a little. Beckett’s gaze dropped to where her breasts pressed against her blouse, and he dragged in an unsteady breath. As if he was using every ounce of willpower not to touch her. He dragged his eyes up to meet hers. “You were thinking about that night.”
She could deny it, but it would be pointless. “Yeah.”
Slowly, oh so slowly, he moved one hand to sift his fingers through her hair. When she didn’t immediately answer, he leaned closer yet. “I think about it, too.” He trailed his fingers through her hair until he reached her shoulder and his thumb dipped beneath the fabric of her shirt. “All the fucking time.” He dropped his hand farther, the tips of his fingers tracing over her breast in a touch so light she was half sure she imagined it.
Might have convinced herself she imagined it if her entire body wasn’t tuned to his in that moment.
Touch me.
As if reading her thoughts, he shifted closer, his leg sliding between hers. The move forced her skirt up as she spread her legs to accommodate his thigh. Higher and higher until he was firmly pressed against her clit. It throbbed in time with her heartbeat, and it was everything she could do not to rub on his thigh like a mindless version of herself.
She felt mindless. Samara gave up her determination not to touch him. She couldn’t wrap her legs around his waist because of her damn skirt, but she ran her hands up his chest. “We can’t.”
“I know.” But he didn’t stop. He slid his hands down to her ass, urging her to grind against his thigh. Slowly, so incredibly slowly, as if he had all the time in the world. He dragged his mouth over her collarbone, the faint rasp of whiskers drawing a whimper from her lips.
Samara dug her fingers into his hair, and he went still. Waiting. She pulled him up and took his mouth the way she’d wanted to since she’d snuck out of that hotel room six months before. She flicked his tongue with hers, teasing him even as he resumed the delicious movement between them again. Yes, yes, do that, don’t stop.
Beckett let her have control for all of two seconds, and then he deepened the kiss, pressing her more firmly against the wall. He took with his mouth even as he gave with his body, hitching her higher until her toes barely touched the floor and she was completely at his mercy. Pleasure sparked through her, and she kissed him harder. It wasn’t enough, might never be enough, but she couldn’t stop.
Not when she knew that, as good as this was, what came next was even better.

About Katee Robert

Her 2015 title, The Marriage Contract, was a RITA finalist, and RT Book Reviews named it ‘a compulsively readable book with just the right amount of suspense and tension.” When not writing sexy contemporary and romantic suspense, she spends her time playing imaginary games with her children, driving her husband batty with what-if questions, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

What He Doesn’t Know by Kandi Steiner
Publication Date: March 15th, 2018
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Photographer: Perrywinkle Photography, Lauren Perry
Cover Designer: Kandi Steiner

WHDK cover FINAL_1

On the northeast side of town, there is a house.

The house was once magical, filled with love and joy and plans for the future.

Inside its walls are many things that belong to me — my books, the china from my mother on my wedding day, the beautiful cage once home to two birds, now empty, just like me.

And a man.

A man who also belongs to me.

A man I no longer wish to keep.

A man who, no doubt, has not slept, though the sun is rising. Because the house where he waits is where I laid my head to rest every night for eight years. Until last night.

No one who knows me would believe Charlie Pierce, the quiet, bookish girl who never made waves is pulling out of the driveway of a man who isn’t her husband.

But they don’t know me at all.

I don’t even know me.

Not anymore.

They say there are two sides to every story, and I suppose in most cases, that’s true. But the one I live inside of? It has three.

On the northeast side of town, there is a house.

But there is no longer a home.

They say there are two sides to every story, and I suppose in most cases, that’s true. But the one I lived inside of? It had three.

I am on of the few who believe there is never two sides to a story – most would consider me cynical in my thinking and that is quite alright with me. Because there is never two sides to a story – there is side A, side B and the truth. And in this book, this story has ALOT of sides and each one is the truth, just depends on which character is telling you the story.

For those of you who are not fans of love triangles and cheating, this book will be difficult for you to read. If there is no way for you to understand why someone would cheat, do not read this book. For the rest of us, this book will be a great read to us.

Kandi does a great job with this book and the story of these characters. Everything plays out perfectly and the flow of everything is so smooth and natural. Nothing is rushed and you get to relish in the minute details of the story. This book is told mostly from Reece and Charlie’s POVs, as the story surrounds them and their past and how that leads to decisions they both make in the present.

I won’t go into details about what happens as the reader needs to experience everything firsthand. I will tell you that Charlie is kindergarten teacher who has been married to Cameron for 8 years. Cameron works for the same company that Charlie’s father started. Reese is Charlie’s brother’s best friend from high school and close to Charlie’s family. Reese is moving back into town for a teaching position as the same school Charlie teaches at.

I like Charlie – she may be quiet and reserved but she’s always been that way. She’s not exactly naïve, but she definitely doesn’t get out a lot. I love that she battles with herself – with her feelings, with her decisions, with her relationship not only with her husband, but with Reece. I love that she never gives up.

Reese – I have a lot of mixed feelings on him. He’s respectful of Charlie and her marriage. He wants to be her friend, if nothing else. But when she is at her weakest, he uses that to his advantage and doesn’t care at that moment that she is married. And that does not sit well with me. I know that he is fighting for what he wants, but damn that just irks me.

Cameron – I don’t like him one bit. Nope, you can’t change my mind either. I don’t give a shit how hard he tries to win her back – too little, too late. I get that he has his own demons from his past, but dude needs to realize he fucked up 5 years ago and that’s what broke everything.

“I love him Reese,” I whispered, the words cutting me like a dull razor blade as they left my lips. I knew they penetrated him just the same.
“Doesn’t change the fact that you love me, too.”

While I enjoyed the plot and angst given, just didn’t care for the two men. However, it’s not because I couldn’t relate to them, but because their actions annoyed me. How do I explain this – there are times when I don’t care for characters because the author just wrote shite characters (can’t relate to them, they bring nothing to the story). In this case, Kandi wrote characters that you are either going to love or hate because of how well she wrote them and the role they play in the story. And in this case, I want to tear their balls off and shove them down their throats For me, that’s what makes a book great – I feel strongly about a character, good or bad.

Overall, this book was great. Was it outstanding for me, no. I did not get that whole “holy shit, this book is a MUST READ” feeling. Mostly because I didn’t feel 100% vested in the characters; my heart wasn’t vested in the story as much as I have been in others. And that’s ok – others will feel more than I did. I do want to know how this story ends and where these characters end up. I just somehow missed the whole emotional roller coaster on this one.

In the corner house of an empty street, there is a boy inside a box. In that boy, there lives a secret, one so dark, it’s sealed with locks.

Nearly ten years have passed since the night I was captured. Tricked and betrayed, I suffered the hours of brutal torment with death’s cold whisper across my skin. The stranger stepped into my view, his hand outstretched. “So you did it.”

In spite of the ache in my back, I allowed him to pull me up to a stand.

The echo of pain lingered in my ankle, knocking me back a step, but he yanked tight, and wrapped his hand around my waist to steady me.

“You need me to carry you?”

“No. This is humiliating enough. I’ll suffer the walk, thanks.”

We rounded the building—ungracefully hobbled, in my case—to find a fire truck, police cars, and a crowd of people corralled together.

Though, that didn’t shock me quite as much as seeing the long, sturdy-looking fire escape snaking down the side of the building.

“You said there wasn’t a fire escape! Why did you lie?”

He shot a glance over his shoulder, but kept on down the side street. “You said you couldn’t climb down the chimney. You lied, too.”

“I had no choice! I could’ve died up there!”

“Everyone has a choice. So, how does it feel?”

“How does what feel?” I hissed, and at a sharp throb along my shin, I winced.

“To conquer your fear.”

I paused, dumbfounded, and looked back to the building and the chimney I’d just climbed down. Ninety feet high inside a cramped space. Something I wouldn’t have willingly done, had someone paid me.

“Offer’s still there, if you want a ride home.” Twisting around to face me, he walked backwards, sliding a pair of gloves onto his hands. “Or you can wait for your Uber. Your choice.”

“I don’t even know your name.”

“Ty.”

“I’m Sera. As in Serafina.”

“Yeah, I know.”

Rearing back, I frowned, folding my arms as I followed after him. “Um. How?”

“Bea! Simone! It’s Sera! Wait for me!” His hands waved dramatically in the air, mocking me.

Biting the inside of my cheek stifled the urge to laugh. “Right.”

“So, Serafina. Named after the angels.” He came to a stop in front of a sleek black motorcycle hidden in the brush, and handed me a helmet he pulled from somewhere on the other side of it.

“What are you, a religion major?”

He smirked and looked past me for a moment, as if checking to make sure no one had followed us.

Paranoid, I checked, too, before shifting my attention back to the impressive machinery standing before me. “I’ve never been on a bike before.”

Lips screwed to a wry smile, he mounted the bike and jerked his head for me to get on behind him. “Well, this night just keeps getting better and better, doesn’t it, Sera?”

Two Wedding Crashers by Meghan Quinn…Blog Tour & Review

I don’t know what love is anymore.

Well, that’s not entirely true, but I’m going to tell you a little secret: I’ve lost the spark.

You know the kind of spark I’m talking about?

Where butterflies take flight in your stomach from two hands innocently colliding. Or catching your breath when you first meet someone attractive. Yeah, that spark.

Except I haven’t felt that feeling in forever; there is nothing left inside of me.

Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem–but I’m a writer on a serious deadline, and my editor is breathing down my neck for a romantic, Nicholas Sparks type love story. No pressure, right?

That’s how I find myself flying across the country to crash a wedding in the name of research, dress and heels stuffed into my small suitcase.

It should be the easiest book research ever. Drinking some free champagne, basking in the love of two strangers, and tapping into my romantic side. That will be a breeze. I’m a pro. I can handle this.

Until I mistakenly end up in the wrong hotel room, naked as the day I was born, with the sexiest human I have ever met staring me down, wondering what I’m doing taking a shower in his bathroom. I don’t think calling it research will get me out of this pickle.

Anyone who knows me or reads my reviews, knows that I am HUGE Meghan Quinn fan – and I mean HUGE!!! She writes it, I am reading it without a clue to what’s it about. SIGN ME UP!! And this book was no different, however, I did know what it was about – Beck.

We met Beck in her book, Three Blind Dates. No, you don’t need to read that book first, but I highly recommend it just because you get that initial meeting of Beck and what is to come in this one. Beck was my runner-up in choices for Three Blind Dates (read it to find out what I mean) and I was so excited to know that his book was next after finishing it.

I really do not even know how to describe Beck except to say that he is he deep yet knows how to live life fully. He was so much more than I expected and I love getting to know this character more. He is the perfect match for Rylee.

“Sometimes you have to take a chance on something that makes you happy, regardless of the unknown.”

Beck has been pushing forward after some dark times in his life but his friends find that he doesn’t do much else aside from his work and passions. They want him to get back into the dating pool and have fun again. After a bum go on a blind date (again, read Three Blind Dates to see what happens), he is very hesitant to put himself out there. So his friends come up with the idea to go to Key West with them, crash a wedding they’re attending and maybe hook up with a single lady while enjoying the time away.

Rylee has been living life in the shadows and only recently started to come back to herself. She is a romance author who finds herself staring down a deadline with writers block in her path of completion. Zoey and Victoria are her best friends and writing buddies trying to help Rylee get her mojo back, but nothing seems to be working. Then the girls come up with a plan to have Rylee Crash a wedding that Zoey and Victoria are attending to see if that get Rylee’s groove back.

You can see where this is going – yes, Rylee and Beck meet. Their vacation fling is amazing. And even when they return to their lives, things just keep getting better. These two together was so funny and natural to watch. Things moved at a decent pace and nothing was rushed, which I enjoyed. Rylee is dead set on keeping things light and easy, Beck has other intentions.

Beck has no problems holding back on what he is feeling – he just lays it all out. Let me tell you, I am impressed by Rylee’s self control – if a man talked dirty to me like that when I was single, I would be climbing that man like a damn monkey – just saying. But he is also sweet and enduring, which is something new for Rylee to have directed at her from a man.

Rylee is really out of her element when it comes to Beck. He’s what she writes about, not what she gets in real life. I love that she is cautious yet flirtatious and tries her damn best to not get caught up in everything. But Beck just never gives up and that makes it harder each day for Rylee to walk away.

The Wedding Crashers is definitely a slow-burn romance. Meghan moves this book at the perfect pace though. Everything happens within a few months, but with the way Meghan has it all play out, it feels like so much longer (and that’s a good thing). It’s not boring, it’s natural progression of things and that just makes it even more intense and intriguing. I agree at times, I wanted things to move a bit faster, but in the end, I was so glad that it didn’t.

Meghan has written another amazing story with great characters that you will find yourself loving from the second you meet them. I almost feel like I know these characters personally and want all the best for them. Bravo Meghan!

Chills scream their way down my arms and legs, my nipples pucker, and just like that, with one word, all humor vanishes from our little conversation and awareness of this all-consuming man wrapped around me hits me hard.

Gathering myself, I say, “Tell me something Chris and Justine know about you.”

“Hmm.” His thumbs hook under the waistband of my shorts, playing with the lower part of my hipbones. His touch spurs on my pelvis, needing to rock, begging for him to go lower. My toes curl in my sandals and my back slightly arches, reaching for more. “Something they know about me.”

His mouth doesn’t stray from its position against my ear, and his hips start to slowly move underneath me, his legs tangling with mine. Involuntarily, one of my hands hooks the back of his neck as I hold on tightly to him, feeling like I need support from the onslaught of sensation I’m feeling.

I hear him say something, but it doesn’t register in my brain, which has turned to mush as his thumbs stray from my hipbones to right above my pubic bone.

There is no denying how turned on I am, how wet I am from his mere touch, how much—despite my reservations—I want this man.

With each stroke, my head turns farther and farther to the side until our noses are touching, Beck’s head bends forward to meet me halfway. My eyes flutter shut for a brief moment before I open them and am captured by those flecks of green and gold.

The air stills around us, our breath mixing, swirling between us, our lips so close.

One swipe of this thumb.

Another one.

I can’t breathe.

I can’t focus.

Another swipe, my head leans even closer, my tongue wetting my lips.

One more swipe . . .

My heart hammers in my chest, my skin prickling with awareness.

Beck brings his mouth even closer, only a whisper away now, and he waits.

Holding still.

His breathing feeling erratic beneath me.

One.

More.

Swipe.

And I’m gone.

I bring my mouth to his, slowly parting my lips ever so slightly, just enough to maneuver my mouth across his.

A low, provocative moan escapes Beck as one of his hands snags the back of my head and holds me in place, almost as if he lets go, I’ll disappear.

Needing more, I shift on his lap so I’m straddling him once again, my hands on his bare chest, feeling the powerful sinew that holds him together.

Our lips press and mold, mingling, taking, begging . . .

Desperate.

Beck’s tongue runs against my bottom lip, eliciting a moan from deep within me, lighting a fire so hot, so wild, my hands start to travel up his neck to his cheeks where I grip him, positioning his head so when I open my mouth, I can expertly dive my tongue onto his.

He groans, his lap shifting against mine now, his hard-on pressing against my wet and throbbing center. I match his rocking, using my position on his lap to take advantage of his length I can feel through his board shorts.

This is exactly what I didn’t want to happen, but God, am I happy it has. Maybe I really should live in the moment, maybe I should take advantage of the opportunity, maybe I should…

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

We’ve known each other since childhood, but became close in our teens. All through high school, we had summer jobs at the Sun Vista Stables, the largest horse boarding ranch around.
Marie and I have been good friends for years. Our shared interest in horses put us in close quarters, but I never crossed the line. That’s not for lack of interest on my part. I’ve been tempted more than a few times.
I’ve been meaning to grow some balls and cross that line, see if she wants to be more than just friends. I’ve just been too afraid of ruining what we have. But it’s time to park all this fear and make my move. It’s past time. It seems fate is stepping in. A few days ago, I found out that Dr. Morris Trent, the local vet, hired Marie as his assistant.
The guy is a womanizing son of a bitch. He puts on the charm with every female to get what he wants. Not that he needs charm. For a lot of women around here, panties drop once they hear the title doctor before his name, even for just a vet.
I know Marie’s smart enough to see right through his games, but the fact that they’ll be working together day in and day out makes me worry a little. I should have been a man and told her how I felt long ago, but with the doctor threat now right in my face I need to just be honest and take this to the next level with her.
If I had it my way, she’d be nowhere near him. The thing is, helping nurse sick animals back to health is Marie’s dream job. She worked hard for this career change, taking night classes while holding down two waitressing jobs. She sacrificed her free time to study and work so she could support her family and keep a roof over their heads when her dad lost his job at the mill.
So even though she lives in the next town over and has to drive thirty miles to work, I know exactly how important this job is to her. It’s a unique opportunity, considering that Doc Trent is the only veterinarian around for a few hundred miles. I’m proud to know she’s finally doing what she loves, but fuck, does it have to be with this guy?
Doc Trent’s a player. He’s slept with half of the single women around. I wish like hell Marie and I hadn’t been in the friend zone for so long, that I just had the guts to make her mine. But I know why I respected the friends only code we shared.
She told me ages ago that what we had in our friendship meant more to her than anything else.
In a lot of ways, I understand what she means. Having someone who knows you inside and out, sees your flaws, and still has your back, well, it’s rare. Good friends are few and far between, especially for a guy like me who has burned a hell of a lot of bridges. Before Marie and I were friends I’d given my virginity away. I regretted it, wished like hell I’d saved it … for her. Only for her. No other woman could get my heart racing like just the thought of Marie could.
And after I became friends with her … yeah, no other woman was good enough. So here I am, celibate for fucking years, only wanting one woman, my best friend, and she doesn’t even know it.
But seeing her now, it’s driving me crazy to know that any day now, Doc Trent will hit on her with one thing in mind.
Getting her into bed, fucking her, and moving on to the next woman in sight.
No way am I about to let that happen.
Fuck no.
Marie is mine. Irrevocably.
I just hate it took some asshole threatening to move in on what is mine to get my ass in gear.
“Good morning!” Marie chirps, her voice pulling me from my thoughts as I make it to the open double doors at the back of the vet truck.
“Morning yourself.”
She pets the colt along his neck and he nudges toward her. “Hey, boy,” she hums, licking her lips.
I should be used to her by now, but the idea that some philandering douchebag in a Stetson cowboy hat, brand new Tony Lama cowboy boots, and fake as fuck rodeo buckle is sniffing around Marie causes me to see her in a new light. I can’t help but notice every little movement she makes around me now.
Like how she licks those sexy, full cupid’s bow lips.
It’s the last thing I need to see her doing right now while they’re glistening, shining a soft, naked and natural pink under the bright mid-morning sun. I’ve seen her countless times with makeup and without, and I’ve always liked admiring them, but today, it’s harder than ever not to smash my mouth to hers.
“You all right?” she asks.
“Sure I am.”
She reaches her hand up into her fiery red hair, all pulled up into a loose bun at the top of her head. My fingertips start to tingle. They’re itching with the urge to remove the hair band holding up that bun. I’d like to see all her wavy tresses fall around her shoulders, tempted to wrap a handful of it around my fist and take that mouth.
“You seem a little… distracted,” she says.
“Nah,” I tell her. I clear my throat and rearrange the growing bulge in my pants when she’s not looking. I can’t help but picture Doctor Love em’ and Leave em’ touching her, trying to coax her into his bed. It pisses me off and makes me possessive as hell.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” The concern in her voice is unmistakable. She squints her big hazel-green eyes and tilts her head up from her five-foot-two height to inspect my face. Given that I’m six-foot-two, she’s always had to crane her neck a little to look up at me. Today, though, the slender lines and harsh sunlight only highlight the faint flutter of pulse point at the base of her neck. Jesus. At the rate I’m going, I’m liable to devour that spot any minute now, and several more on her body.
“I’m fine.”
“You look a little flushed.” Marie walks around the front of the colt and comes to my side. She places the back of her hand on my forehead. “Your skin’s kinda warm.”
I have to do my best not to react to the heat of her touch. I curse silently, mostly at goddamned Doc Trent. Although I probably should thank him. If he hadn’t hired her, if he hadn’t become an imminent threat, I might have stayed a coward and never told her how I feel. But the womanizing doctor has lit a fire under my ass, it seems. I’m standing here with an erection growing without my permission. And feeling all kinds of possessiveness about Marie.

When romance novelist, Kate Smith, finds her long lost writing mojo in the customer waiting area of a tire store, the complimentary coffee isn’t the only things that’s hot. But sexy mechanic, Miles Hudson, is just up for a friendly test-drive of her new book idea.

WWM-Front-small

Full Blurb

When romance novelist, Kate Smith suddenly gets writers block as she’s beginning the final installment of her international bestselling erotic Bed N Breakfast series, she’ll do pretty much anything to get her groove back.

Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room, because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee—smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot.

She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic, Miles Hudson, notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees only entrance.

But she’s way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.

Doing a test-drive of her new book idea sounds like a much better option.

Author QandAScared woman lying in bed and hiding under the sheet

Q: This book says “based on real-life experiences” …what does that mean?
A: Wellllll…let’s put it this way, the dedication to my book says: This book is inspired by real life events. Except for all the hot and romantic parts. My life is not nearly that exciting. So basically, it’s true that I snuck into a tire shop waiting room to write. And I brought countless friends and family cars in to write, just so I had an excuse to come in. But sadly, there was never a hot mechanic that caught my eye and wanted to jump into a friends-with-benefits situation with me. I’m pretty sure my husband would have wanted me to take a hard pass on an offer like that. 😉

Q: What inspired you to turn this experience into a story?
A: Wellllll, my agent initially! I started posting about my Tires Tires Tires excursions on social media and it sort of blew up. Like over 500 reactions to my posts when I was sneaking in…it was crazy. I’d never had so much social media engagement ever! And my agent was like, “Why are you not writing a book about a hot mechanic, Amy!” So, I decided to give it a whirl and let’s just say, the words flowed like that delicious complimentary coffee at TTT.

Q: Why do you think it flowed so effortlessly?
A: Well, I’m American and the majority of my books take place in England so that comes with a lot of challenges to make sure I’m writing true to their dialect. Basing Wait With Me in Colorado and using my own dialect was so fun and refreshing. It’s probably why I wrote it so fast! And I took a lot of the same crazy things that happened to me at Tires Tires Tires and used them in the story, so that gave me a great running start on the story.

Q: Since this book is based on your own experiences, how much is the heroine like yourself?

A: Kate’s voice is a lot like mine. Her humor, her sass. Her reactions. But honestly, that’s where our similarities end. She’s a redhead and she’s from Colorado her family isn’t very supportive of her career. My family is crazy supportive—so her background is truly very different from mine. As the book progressed, she really became her own person. She was super fun though and easy for me to write.

Q: That cover is HOT! Who is the model? Is it a real Tires Tires Tires mechanic?
A: Sadly, no. There’s a bunch of fun guys that work at TTT but I see them more as fun uncles…not sexy mechanics. The model is Austin Loes and he lives nearby, so we got to do the shoot in the TTT garage! It was a blast and he is PERFECT for this cover!!!

Q: Does this book have potential to become a series?
A: It does! There’s a couple of fun secondary characters in this novel that I’d love to tell their stories. And the recurring theme in the series would be that all the “meet cutes” happen in various waiting rooms.

Q: Where can readers catch up on the truth-life Tires Tires Tires full story?
A: I have a fun cliff notes version on my website: www.amydawsauthor.com/tirestirestires

Q: Are you still spending your days writing at Tires Tires Tires?
A: Duh! Complimentary coffee and cookies? I’d be a fool not to! Those guys at TTT have opened their arms to me and I love having a fun and unique writing place to go. It just goes to show that you can find inspiration in the most unlikely places.
