My Review:

Dirty English is the newest work from author Ilsa Madden-Mills and admittedly the first of her work I’ve read. Well, I can safely say I will be reading everything else she’s written because I just ADORED this book. Devoured it in a day and am still thinking, and swooning, about it right now as I type.

There was so much to love about this story. Let’s start with Declan, shall we? Oh, Declan. Such a dichotomy with his tattooed brawn, penchant for fighting, and love of literature specifically, Pride and Prejudice. I was Team Declan from the very description of him and when we got to learn more about him? I was a goner. He is this thoughtful and caring man who loved hid mum and honors her memory in the most special of ways and if that didn’t just round out the most delicious of sexy packages! He’s also a wonderful brother to his twin and had grown up being his fierce protector. He’s a guy who loves big and I just loved everything about him. Now, onto Elizabeth. I loved her just as much. The girl broke my heart. Talk about a rough past! But no matter what had happened to her she knew she didn’t want the bad to define her or rule her life. She was really struggling at times with moving on and being strong but no matter what, she kept going. Kept trying, I admired her tenacity and determination.

Together these two are of the charts. The attraction and heat between them builds at a delicious pace and Declan has some lines in this book that melted me into a puddle of swooned out goo. He was so primal in his attraction and want when it came to Elizabeth and their physical nature but on the flip side he got her on such an emotional level. Once again, a dichotomy. There were more than a few stumbles along the way for the two and I was a worried wreck for the last few chapters. So much so that my chest physically ached. Luckily, author Madden-Mills gave readers an ending that was just so perfect and fit this couple so well.

I have to add that I LOVED Declan’s twin brother, Dax. He’s the cheeky, flirty party boy with a soft side for his brother and, I suspect, a much deeper personality than he lets on. I am really, really hoping he gets a book! (I’m not above begging!)

Overall, this was an amazing read and one I highly recommend. Thank you. Ms. Madden-Mills, for giving us these wonderful characters and this touching and beautiful story!

“Come to my apartment and spend the night with me.” I touched his face, my fingers stroking the softness of his sensuous lips. “Just one night and we can make this shitty world disappear.”

He exhaled. “A one-night stand?”

“Yeah.”

He cupped my chin. “Someone hurt you, didn’t they?”

My lips tightened. No one at Whitman knew about Colby except for Shelley and Blake, and I sure as hell wasn’t telling him. He’d judge me like everyone else had in Petal, North Carolina. “That’s none of your business.”

“I see.” His eyes searched mine until I felt like a bug under a microscope. “What if I wanted more than just one night?”

“Then your hands can let go of my hips now.”

He removed his hands slowly, the tips of his fingers grazing mine. “This may surprise you, but I don’t sleep with every girl I kiss.”

I’d been rejected. Again. “Blake said you got around, that you used—”

“And you believed him?” His voice was incredulous. “Dude is in love with you and he saw exactly how we looked at each other tonight—”

“Looked at each other? What are you talking about? You refused to dance with me and then you ran off with your girlfriend. Not to mention I just kissed you and you didn’t even care.” I threw my hands up.

“I wanted to fuck you the minute you walked in that party,” he snapped.

“Then why don’t you,” I bit out, tossing back my shoulders.

“You think you want me?” he said tightly. “You can’t handle me, Elizabeth. I can see it in your eyes. You’re scared of something, maybe not me, but something.”

My eyes went to his black eye.

He let out a harsh laugh. “Ah, that’s what you’re afraid of. You want the real truth? You told me tonight you didn’t like violence, but I’m an arsehole who uses his fists. That’s who I am.”

“What do you mean?”

His gaze was intense, dark and low, his face struggling as he fought to find the right words. “I’m in a fight club for money. I show up at warehouses and fight other blokes. Sometimes I beat them so bad they need medical attention. A few times, I’ve been beat to unconsciousness. I’m everything you need to stay away from.”

I inhaled, anger and lust and excitement all riding me. Anger that he was pushing me away, lust for the alpha male in him, and God help me, the fighting thing repelled me and excited me at the same time. “I don’t want to stay away from you. I want you to fuck me and stop making excuses for why you can’t.”

My words seemed to snap his taut restraint.

He pulled me back in his arms, his lips fusing with mine unerringly. His tongue plundered me in a sensual way my body had craved for years. I wrapped my arms around his neck, my anger morphing into all-out desire as he turned us and pressed me against the wall.

Yes, yes, this is what I craved.

A passion to remind me that I was real, not just some sad excuse of a girl who chose to exist on scraps of love.

Before I knew it, he’d shoved my robe off, his hands sculpting my shoulders, massaging them as he ravaged my mouth. I reveled in the warmth of his hand on my neck as his mouth skated down, kissing the hollows of my throat, sucking on my collarbone.

“Like this?” he asked, his voice dark and gravelly. “You want me to take you up against this wall?”

“Yes,” I moaned. Gone. Past caring as long as he kept his hands on me.

Out of control, my brain whispered, but I beat back the dark warnings as his warm hand found my breast and squeezed, his fingers rolling my nipple between his thumb and forefinger.

I gasped in pleasure and arched my back to get closer to his body, ignoring the fear that pricked at the surface.

The rules girl in my head stamped her foot and yelled at me. I ignored her.

But even if I wanted to stop right now, I couldn’t. My tongue tangled wildly with his, my hands pulled at his hair, spurring him on, his hand palming my breast and then tugging. Sharp sensations of need went straight to my core.

“Is this what you want? Something quick where we just take what we want and forget each other the next day?”

No. Not that. Not like the way he said it, like it was something dirty.

“Yes, like that,” I whispered against his shoulder, my mouth on his skin, tasting him as my teeth bit down.

My Review:

Break Me Down is book number 8.5 in author Roni Loren’s Loving on the Edge Series and like all of the books I’ve read in this series, it was deliciously amazing.

What I love most about Ms. Loren’s writing is she always paints the characters with very real and relatable human emotions and feelings. In this particular story what I found real and relatable was both characters reluctance to give in the emotions and feelings they are scared of experiencing. Though both for very different reasons, they both have a hard time accepting their deep-rooted desires. For Gibson it was acknowledging a dark yearning for someone to take control and, at times, deliver pain. For Sam it’s learning to truly trust another person so stay and give her the emotional connection she has always craved but never received. I loved the push and pull between these two and although the situation that has led them to be together and pretty isolated broke my heart for Sam, it was such a blessing in disguise in getting these two wounded and confused souls together.

And yes, while this is indeed BDSM, that is just one of the facets of this story. I know many of you have left the genre for a bit and are in need of a break, but I will always highly recommend picking up Ms. Loren’s newest releases and Break Me Down is another must read from her!

Thank you Ms. Loren, for giving yet another emotionally charged and scorchingly heated read!

Four-and-a-Half Loves

Excerpt:

The floors creaked as he made his way back to the front of the house. He examined the dining room with critical eyes. It looked like one small patch of floor was left. Sam had been close to done when he’d interrupted last night. Yet another valid reason for her to be mad at him.

He squatted down and picked up the sanding machine. It’d been a while since he’d tackled any home improvement projects. His position as head of PR at Vandergriff kept him too busy. But when he’d first bought his house, it had been in pretty rough shape. He’d taken on weekend projects to get it how he wanted it. He’d learned a lot and messed up more. A handyman, he was not. But he understood the satisfaction Sam probably got from doing this herself. It could be cathartic.

“I don’t suggest you turn that on unless you know what to do with it,” Sam said from behind him.

He turned around, finding her at the bottom of the stairs, raven hair damp and twisted into a messy bun atop her head. Face scrubbed clean. She looked so young standing there. He was used to seeing her with her dark eyeliner and hair done in some quirky way. But this version of her was just as breath-stealing. He held up the sander. “Don’t turn it on unless I know what to do with it. There’s a dirty joke in there.”

She smirked, some of that trademark attitude back, despite the lingering ghosts in her eyes. “So do you? Know what to do?”

“With a woman or home improvement equipment?”

“I already know you know what to do with a woman.”

He tilted his head. Flirty Sam. Yes. Yes, he liked this. “I’m not quite as skilled with machinery, but I can hold my own. Why? Gonna put me to work to earn my keep?”

She walked forward, her beat-up Vans silent on the floors. “Hmm, now there’s an idea.”

The tone of her voice had slipped into a dangerous place, one he recognized. One his body recognized. “I don’t mind helping.”

She tucked her hands in the back pockets of her jeans, her vintage No Doubt T-shirt stretching thin across her breasts as she considered him. “Is that right?”

He lost his focus for a moment just looking at her. Her shirt read Just A Girl, but that was far from the truth. She was so much more. A fucking mystery wrapped up in smarts and sex appeal and kink. He’d only gotten to touch her once, but he hadn’t forgotten how those pert breasts had felt in his palms, how her body had responded to his touch, how it had seemed like the goddamned sun had come out when he’d made her come. His blood rushed south at the memory, and he had to shift his stance to tamp down the reaction. How big of an asshole would he be, getting hard and horny the morning after Sam had been attacked? He cleared his throat. “Yeah, I can help with whatever you need.”

Her smile was quick, not too big, but enough to punch him in the gut. “Those are mighty vague terms, Gib. You should know how dangerous that is in negotiations. I could make you strip naked and clean the bathroom grout with a toothbrush while I sip iced tea and watch.”

He set down the sander and ran a hand over the back of his hair. She’d meant it as a joke. He tried to smile but managed only a tight grimace. Any image where he got on his knees for her pushed that forbidden button inside him. “Right.”

The silver ring in her eyebrow twitched up as if she knew exactly what he’d been thinking. “Nah, never mind. I know how you can help. Leave.”

Another smashing hit by Erin Noelle!

Transparent is the follow-up to Translucent. You must read Translucent in order to understand Transparent. Even though alot of this is book is about Madden, it’s a continuation of his story with Blake.

Erin doesn’t hold anything back with the suspense, action and drama in this book. This is probably the first book with the least amount of sex scenes but the intensity is just awesome!

I won’t go into any of the plot except to say it’s one hell of a ride. I mean we’re talking mafia here. However, Raze will make you want to become a part of the mafia – he’s one alpha I won’t have a problem with.

Erin definitely showed off her writing skills and proves why she’s just not a romance writer. This book flowed beautifully – not just in the pace but also with the structure. She blended the romantic parts perfectly with all the suspense. Nothing felt out of place and everything just fell into place.

If you’re looking for a romance that digs deeper and gives you substance – this is one series you must read.

His turbulent blue gaze cuts around the room until they land on where I’m curled up in a ball in the corner of the room, and when I don’t jump up right away, he begins to stalk in my direction.

“They’re getting away.”

He and his teammates from the Order’s Rome command center had been in pursuit of the four blood-thirsty Rogues since their patrol had been alerted to the killing at the club. If you have read anything by Aleatha, then you know that you are in for one hell of a ride. And she doesn’t disappointment us with Betrayal.

Betrayal is the first installment in the Infidelity series (please don’t be fooled by the name). In true Aleatha fashion, her stories are gripping, suspenseful and never true to the typical romance story.

I don’t want to give too much away about this story – I hate ruining books for others. I will tell you this is told from Alex’s POV and goes back and forth between Past (6 weeks ago) and Present.

Alex has been raised in a very affluent family. She has had a privileged life. But with those privileges came strings. She has graduated Stanford and is now being called home by her mother. She is a very strong and determined woman. I don’t think anyone else could endure what she has gone through in life.

Nox is the man Alex meets while vacationing after graduation and before returning home. Her is a man who knows what he wants and goes after it. But he’s definitely met his match in Alex. They both agree to one week – no more. And they must abide by rules they set.

And that is all you are getting from me about the story. Aleatha always delivers the most unique and page-turning stories. This story isn’t as dark or twisted as her others, but it still has the element of “holy shit.”

The book does end in a cliffhanger, but Aleatha is giving us the next installment within 3-4 months so there isn’t a huge wait to see what happens.

Aleatha has most definitely sucked me in to this series. I can’t wait to see where everything goes.

“Just know, Miss Charli, no last name, the next time you break one of my rules, I won’t respond as lightly.”

“You won’t?” I asked, more aroused than curious. “What exactly does that mean?”

He moved closer, seductively teasing my breasts with the presence of his wide chest. “I guess we’ll need to find that out together.”

The first book took me by surprise in so many ways. This book gutted me. Ugly horrible, snot dripping tears. But it also kept me at the edge of my seat.

Alexa Loved starts off where Alexa Crushed ended and things just take off from there.

Alexa and Devin have graduated and are trying to start a new together. However, Ethan isn’t going to give up on Alexa quite so easily.

This very unique love triangle is the least of their worries though. Ethan’s neurotic and crazy step-mom adds herself into the mix and causes a lot of headaches for them all. Plus, we still have that teeny, tiny MicroSD popping up in the background causing Alexa to stay on her toes.

There is a lot of suspense and mystery going on in this book but T.R. brings it all together so perfectly. But let’s not forget the crazy, hot sex scenes. Oh hot damn! Let’s just say T.R. knows how to not only show the hot part but make it very sensual in the same manor.

T.R. has a way with words. She is able to put them to paper (technically tap it out on her keyboard) and bring us a beautiful, heart breaking story full of suspense. I am thrilled that we will be getting more books of this series in the future. There’s a character that I am particularly curious about – Viper. I need to know more about this man – he has definitely piqued my interest and I need more!

If you haven’t already, I highly recommend reading this series. It’s one series you won’t be disappointed with.

Writing Rituals

I respect anyone who has to get into a certain mindset or has special rituals to begin their writing day. I, however, am not one of them. And for me, and some others, this idea can be paralyzing… or just another way to procrastinate.

If I had my choice, I’d love to write at a cabin on the water, to the sounds of waves crashing in the background. But if I did that, I’d never get anything done. So I try to spend less time thinking or preparing to write, and more time just doing it. It’s a matter of survival now that I have so many deadlines!

But … quiet always seems to work best for me. If I’m struggling, or on the rare occasion when I can make my writing session a treat, I’ll listen to music before I start for inspiration. I like to do this with certain TV shows or movie clips too. YouTube is my friend during these inspirational jags. I’ll watch a few, get my head right, and then get to work. I can’t do it often though, because before I know it, I’ve listened to an entire album or watched an entire show, without putting one word on the page. I’m a typical writer who is easily distracted and will find any reason to put off the work!

It usually takes me a while to get my first thirty pages down, due to all the noise. Once I do, I get to work like a beast. All hours, during all times—as I’m cooking dinner, or watching soccer practice, even taking a bath. That is usually when the best ideas come to me, and when the plot really starts to work itself out—those moments when I’m simply living life. This is also why I always carry a notebook

My Review:

Fatal Beauty is the newest work from Nazarea Andrews, an author I have loved to read since I stumbled across years ago. I can always count on Ms. Andrews to write great stories with interesting plots and fresh ideas and this was no exception.

With tons of deceit, money, drugs, rich daddy’s girl attitudes, murder, suspense, and steamy sex, there was never ever a dull moment in this book. It started out with a bang (pretty literally) and kept getting better and juicier, as the story went on. In a way, it reminded me a whole lot of the Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe movie, Cruel Intentions, and I just adored that. Two main characters you just hate to love at times and love to hate at others. It’s hard for me to go into too much specific detail without ruining the twists and turns involved in this book and I certainly don’t want to ruin the experience for any of you. All I can say is if you’re looking for a book that will grab you from the very start and keep you glued to each scandal clad page, this is certainly a book you should read!

Once again I am reminded of why I enjoy Ms. Andrews’ writing so much. Thank you, Nazarea, for a juicy, sexy, dirty, dangerous, and devily delicious read!

My Review:

Cherished by You is the fourth book in author Steph Nuss’ Love in the City Series, a series I have really enjoyed form the very beginning. This latest installment was no exception and once again Ms. Nuss has written a book I thoroughly enjoyed!

First, I want to mention that you don’t have to read every story in this series, as they are meant to be standalone books, but I love them all so I vote “yes” to reading them all!

I loved so many things about this story. Tessa is a strong gal. She is protective of her little brother after a horrible childhood, and not deterred on bad past experiences and is hopeful to one day find love. I really admire her strength. Justin is swoon-worthy. He is smart, romantic, and although weary of women due to too many users from his past, also still hopeful of love. Together, after being friends for quite some time and ending up moving in together, things go from friend-zone to deliciously hot and emotional and I loved every minute of it! I always love a good hidden crush/friends to lovers story and this was one of the best ones out there!

This is one of those hidden gems series that I always look forward to reading more of and will recommend to anyone looking for a well-rounded story with lots of emotion, romance, and a great cast of characters. Thank you, Steph, for another great addition to the Love in the City Series!

“I can’t believe you agreed to live with a woman,” Cash said, sitting down on the couch in my living room with a beer in his hand.

It was Saturday afternoon, and most of the gang was over at my place, waiting for Tessa and her brother to arrive so we could help move all of her stuff in. Maverick and Harper were at home with their baby girl, Seghen, and Paige had a work function with a client.

I really couldn’t believe it either. I’d never had a roommate before who wasn’t some sort of family member, but I knew I didn’t want Tessa living in some dilapidated hole in Grand Concourse again. Just hearing her talk about growing up there pissed me off.

“Living with a woman isn’t so bad,” Carter stated proudly, with his arm slung over Elly’s shoulder. “They make the place smell good. They’re nice to look at.”

“They cook,” Fletcher added, rubbing Bayler’s thigh. They weren’t living together yet, but they stayed together enough that he enjoyed the benefits of Bayler’s excellent cooking skills.

“Not all of them cook,” Carter retorted, nodding his head toward his wife.

“Hey!” Elly exclaimed, smacking him in the stomach. “I’m cooking your baby right now.”

The room filled with laughter as I paced over to the window and looked down at the sidewalk. I was nervous because I wasn’t sure whether or not Tessa would like living with me. I’d had the place cleaned twice this week in anticipation of her arrival.

“But Tessa loves cooking,” Elly continued, smiling up at me. “You can finally stop eating out every night.”

I scoffed, glancing over my shoulder at her. “I don’t eat out every night.”

Bayler laughed. “All you have in your fridge are takeout boxes and condiments.”

“And beer!” Carter said, clinking his bottle with Fletcher’s.

“Ladies,” Fletcher stated, shaking his head at the women. “Jameson has the necessities. Lay off him.”

“Tessa is going to freak when she sees the fridge,” Elly said, laughing along with Bayler.

I turned to face the gang as anxiety tumbled in my stomach. “What do you mean? Why would she freak out?”

“Because Tessa enjoys cooking,” Bayler explained.

“Yeah,” Elly said, nodding. “She’s used to having a stocked kitchen, especially since she’s cooked for her and her brother most of her life.”

Now I felt bad about not going grocery shopping. The truth was, I did order takeout often, only because it was easier than attempting to cook a meal. I’d grown up with either a maid cooking for me or my grandma, but no matter how many times Janice Jameson tried to teach me how to cook, the meal never turned out the way she made it.

“You guys can go grocery shopping later,” Cash said, running through the television channels. “That way she can pick out whatever the hell she wants.”

“Maybe she’ll even teach you how to cook,” Elly teased, nudging my arm.

“Yeah,” Bayler continued, pointing her beer bottle at me. “Every guy should know how to cook. Women love a home-cooked meal they don’t have to make themselves.”

“I’m not trying to find a woman,” I stated, furrowing my brows.

The gang laughed at my candid response, despite the fact that it was true. I’d practically given up on finding a good woman during my college years. The girls I seemed to attract back then only wanted my help passing a class. The only date I’d been on since was a few years ago when my grandma set me up with her neighbor, Elly. The chemistry wasn’t there, so we became friends instead, which was perfectly fine with me. She was still in love with Carter, and I’d been a loner most of my life. When Carter moved back to New York, he and Elly started dating, and I gained another friend. Our group of friends continued to grow after that with the addition of Carter’s sisters, Harper and Bayler, falling for two of our own, Maverick and Fletcher.

“I call bullshit, Justin,” Bayler exclaimed, rolling her eyes. She leaned into Fletcher’s side and rested her feet up on the coffee table.

The laughter quickly died down at her blunt retort.

“Excuse me?” I asked, deflecting my surprise.

“All men are predisposed to think with their penises,” she explained, entertaining everyone with her words. “I don’t care how much of a genius you are; you’re still a man, which means that brain of yours down south is focused on sex just like every other man’s.”

Laughter grew louder around me as I stared her down, the smile spreading wide across my face. We got a kick out of giving each other a hard time, and I enjoyed dishing it out just as much as everyone else. Leaning down next to her ear, I said, “No, Bayler, what I meant was, I don’t have to try to find a woman.”

She nearly spit out her beer as she smacked me on the arm and laughed. “See! Just like every other guy! I knew you had a dick in there somewhere, Jameson.”

“Is this the part where I tell you I know how to use it, too?” I asked sarcastically, laughing along with her.

A knock on the door sounded before she could reply, so I walked over to answer it. Opening the door, I found Tessa and a younger guy standing behind her, with three suitcases resting at their sides and a duffle bag slung across his body. She wore an old pair of ripped jeans and a hoodie. Her long brown hair was knotted on top of her head, but it was her light blue-gray eyes smiling back at me that caught my attention the most.

“Hey,” I said, grabbing one of the rollers. “Come on in.”

“Thanks,” she said, crossing the threshold into my apartment.

Life ain’t always bout forgiving

July Talk is my new obsession at the moment. They are a Canadian band with a really signature sound. Lots of songs of anger and devotion and obsession could have fit with Everything I Left Unsaid, but I love this song and the singer/characters obsession with NOT forgiving. Totally fits Dylan.

Cake – Driven

Well, first of all who doesn’t love Cake! And second of all – it’s a song about a driven race car driver! My main character Dylan was a driven race car driver until everything fell apart.

Maroon 5 – – Animals

One of the sexiest songs sung by one of the sexiest men in the world – this was one of the first songs on my playlist. It’s just. So. Sexy.

Imagine Dragons – Shots (the acoustic version!)

I’m sorry for everything
Oh, everything I’ve done
From the second that I was born it seems I had a loaded gun
And then I shot, shot, shot a hole through everything I loved
Oh, I shot, shot, shot a hole through every single thing that I loved

I heard the acoustic version of this song first and it shattered me. The lyrics, the harmonies – it’s just amazing. Then I heard the poppy arrangement and it was like a completely different song, so I’m pretending that version doesn’t exist. It’s all acoustic heartbreak for me. Imagine Dragons is one of those bands that write and sing about obsession and heartbreak and darkness and redemption in a way that just speak to me. I could use a dozen Imagine Dragon songs on every play list – but this one totally suits Dylan.

Coleman Hell – 2 Heads

I turn to you, you’re all I see

We just got caught up in the moment
Why don’t you call me in the morning instead

I love everything about this song. The dance beat with a banjo?! Perfection. But the lyric is what kills me most – this song is all about Dylan pushing Annie away when she confesses she wants more of him.

Metric – Lie Lie Lie

Baby, you’ll be safe with me
Rage against the dying of the light
Holding up a tattered dream
Rage against the dying, rage against the dying of the light

Another great Canadian band – this song is fascinating. An anthem against changing with fame or popularity. Which doesn’t fit with my book – but I just love that lyric…

Rachel Platten – Fight Song

Like how a single word
Can make a heart open
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosion

My kids are totally obsessed with this song. I hear it in my sleep and it’s a great song that encapsulates Annie’s journey.

So I am probably one of the few who has not read One to Hold prior to this. And because I am a huge fan of paranormal, I am actually glad that I didn’t. I had no idea what to expect going into this. And I absolutely loved every bit of this book.

It started off with some hot and heavy scenes and only pulled me into the story from there. Melissa is a hybrid, not a complete vampire yet. Derek is a vampire hunter. And that is all I am saying about that.

They’re lives become intertwined in ways they never expected. It’s a suspenseful and erotic story that will keep you glued to the pages. I can’t say there was a lot of mystery as it was pretty easy to figure out certain things but the way Tia wrote the story, you were still captivated by everything going on. The storyline was very unique with the paranormal twist. And the sex scenes were written very well – hot damn!!!

I honestly wish this wasn’t a standalone book. I would have loved to see this go into a series with each book based on different characters. But seeing as this book was apparently the same as One to Hold series but with just a paranormal twist, I don’t think it would be a smart move. I love that Tia did this as a standalone for that very reason – she did a great job tying everything together in one book.

If you love a good paranormal romance with no cliffhangers or continuing stories, you will really enjoy this book.

ONE IMMORTAL

(A paranormal retelling of the Derek & Melissa story)

Melissa

Derek’s eyes are on my mouth. I’m breathing so fast, I can see my chest rising and falling as he slams my body against the wall. Pinned again, he looks hard into my eyes before claiming me roughly, forcing my lips apart, and finding my tongue.

A little noise squeaks from my throat. I don’t know why he’s treating me so roughly. I grasp his shoulders, following his movements with mine, hearing his heart beating faster like mine. His blood heats in my veins and moisture pools between my legs. Even frightening and angry, I want him so much.

Without speaking, he takes my hand and leads me to the bed. He lifts my wet dress over my head and steps to drop it in the empty tub, pausing a moment to quickly discard his own wet shirt and jeans. I watch him mesmerized as he takes an oversized towel off the ledge and returns to me. He’s gloriously nude, the low light deepening the lines on his chest and stomach, his enormous cock fully erect.

Touching my hair with the towel, he gives it a few squeezes then spreads it on the bed behind me. Anger mixed with desire is in his eyes. He lifts me and pushes me onto my back then grips my thighs, shoving them open. Immediately, he begins to kiss and lick my center. His soft lips and velvet tongue move slowly over my clit as his beard scrapes the delicate skin of my legs.

“Derek!” My cries join the low growl coming from his throat as heat rockets through my pelvis down to the arches of my feet. Adrenaline is so high in my veins I start to come.

“Oh, god!” The tingling sensation spreads over my gums.

My mouth! He has me trapped on my back against the mattress, his strong arms looped around my legs, large hands holding my hips.

“Derek!” I pull his hair, trying to twist away, to turn my body so he can’t see me, but I’m trapped.

He lets out another low growl, the vibration right against my clit, and he gives me a sharp suck. It’s too late. The muscles in my core tighten irresistibly in response to him. His blood in my veins magnifies everything about him, making him a drug to me. My back arches involuntarily as my teeth shoot out.

“Aaaah!” I let out a long wail, my eyes squeeze shut, and I come hard and shuddering on his mouth, unable to stop the ecstasy.

He doesn’t waste a moment. He’s up and plunging deep between my thighs just as fast, not waiting to see what I’ve become. Both of my wrists are clasped firmly over my head in his iron grasp as he surges on, harder, deeper, groaning as his rocks into me again and again. The friction of him stretching and filling me shudders my body with pleasure. His eyes are closed as he makes his final thrusts again and again as his orgasm reaches its crest.

“Melissa,” he groans low as he comes, pulsing in me, holding me down.

I’m trapped beneath him, tears filling my eyes, uncertain what all of this means or what happens now. He saw what I am, but he didn’t pull away. He held me, watching me writhe in desire and agony, as if he knew what would happen.

Oh, god. A wave of dread tightens my stomach at the thought. He knew what would happen. He knows what I am.

His head drops onto his forearm, but he’s still inside me. I wait until he finally lifts it, again. His eyes linger on my mouth a few desperate moments before he looks straight into my eyes.

He’s so beautifully mouth-watering. Sweat mingles with the rain on his cheek, and a little drop runs into his beard. I know my eyes darken at the sight of him. A whimper escapes my chest as the irresistible hunger burns in my throat.

His brow lowers. “You want to bite me?”
