The Deep End is the newest work from author Kristen Ashley and is a step outside of the norm for this author….but it’s a step I simply adored. This story is totally delectable!
The reasons I adore Ms. Ashley’s writing are many. She never leaves anything out. Whether it be a feeling, a description, a moment shared between characters, every word is written on purpose and leaves the reader wanting for nothing. Nothing is rushed or tossed aside. The Deep End is a shining example of that…especially in dealing with the dynamic between the two main characters.
Now, I will say, if you are not into BDSM stories, this is not a book for you. The relationship in this book between Amelie and Olivier is a complex, emotional, intense, and beautifully complicated one. It explores the true and deep connection between a Dom and a sub but in a most interesting and unmainstream way. Olivier is an Alpha sub…I’m sure you can imagine the dichotomy involved in what that means. I, personally, loved that aspect. It brings another side to the table beyond what we have been reading within the genre and it was a breath of fresh air.
Beyond the wide range of emotions and intense moments shared in this D/s relationship, I simply loved the way this book was written. The prose was beautiful. Amélie and Olivier are multifaceted characters with so much dimension to them and I have no doubt they will stay with me for some time. It’s all wrapped up into an amazing package. Few authors have the gift I feel Kristen Ashley has. She pulls out so many feelings from me when I read her books and it’s truly an experience.
Thank you, Ms. Ashley, for a wonderful story. I will be looking forward to more!

About Kristen Ashley:
Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.
Nothing’s changed.
Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.
And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.
Blurb:
He’s at the top of the world.
He’s rich, sought after, and in control.
And he’s bored.
A string of one-night stands have left Samul Charming increasingly dissatisfied. When his mother pushes him to settle down, his best friends come up with a brilliant plan:
Audition the submissive at The Kingdom.
The problem is, Charm knows who he wants: the only girl to challenge him, while submitting as naturally as breathing.
But he can’t have her.
With the entire club watching and his parents expecting him to settle down, Charm decides to settle.
But love in the Kingdom is never simple and it is never painless.
And Charm is about to be reminded of that.

Blurb:
James “Beast” Lutz isn’t like his friends.
He doesn’t crave control the way Charm and Mal do, and he doesn’t play the games Wolf thrives on.
He lives on his knees, all of his strength bent to the will of his Domme.
He’s never regretted that, until now.
Now, when he’s trapped in an arrangement serving a Domme who can’t keep a sub.
Now, when he’s not sure how to trust a woman wrapped in mystery and less sure he wants to.
But the more he gets to know the Domme everyone knows as Beauty, the more Beast realizes everything he thought he knew was wrong.
Blurb:
Charles Wolf Devin likes the game. He likes chasing a new girl every week, loves seducing them and earning their trust. He doesn’t like to keep them.
Until he meets Scarlet.
The chase has never been quite as intoxicating as it is with her, the feisty sub with an innocent streak a mile wide. And for the first time, he wants to keep her, but Scarlet already has a Dom, and Hunter has no intentions of giving her up.
Both Wolf and Hunter are in for a surprise when they realize Scarlet doesn’t want one of them.
She’s playing to keep them both.

Nazarea Andrews (N to almost everyone) is an avid reader and tends to write the stories she wants to read. Which means she writes everything from zombies and dystopia to contemporary love stories. When not writing, she can most often be found driving her kids to practice and burning dinner while she reads, or binging watching TV shows on Netflix. N loves chocolate, wine, and coffee almost as much as she loves books, but not quite as much as she loves her kids. She lives in south Georgia with her husband, daughters, spoiled cat and overgrown dog. I sell more than sex. I sell experiences. My clients are women of taste and style, with money to lavish on their most intimate fantasies. The contract is clear: Absolute confidentiality. No limits. 100% satisfaction guaranteed. I take them to that place in the half-light, where pleasure blurs with pain, and sex becomes so much more. Beautiful filth, sweet and dirty and so fucking delicious. They take it all and always come back for more. I’m in it for the money, and maybe the pleasure, too. I don’t do emotional involvement. Ever. I’m a professional, and this is business. Until she walks in. Client number SIX And things get really fucking complicated. ~~~ ADVISORY: contains graphic depictions of kink, fetish, and BDSM ~~~
DIRTY. FILTHY. SIZZLING. SEX.
SIX.
If you’re looking for a story that toes the line of eroticism and holy fucking shit, then the debut novel from author James Crow is the book for you.
Emma Jane is in the unfortunate circumstance of having to marry in order to save the future of her greedy, selfish, pretentious family. The only thing more unfortunate than that is the unattractiveness of her future husband. William is a bland, entitled, trust-fund type who enjoys slow, boring sex in the dark. That’s a far cry from what Emma Jane is used to doing with the stable boys in the sheep pen. The only person in her family that she has anything in common with is her hippy, free-spirited, vivacious Aunt Fiona.
Aunt Fiona surprises Emma Jane with a week-long getaway as a wedding present. It’s there where Emma Jane explores the deeper, darker, dirtier side of sex and submission; with none other than Master Jonathon Gold.
Though meek and nervous once she arrives, Emma Jane quickly finds that it’s easy to give herself up to Jonathon completely. Unfortunately, by doing so, she also gives him her heart. Can Jonathon give Emma Jane his heart in return or does it still belong to someone else?
This book left me wanting more from Jonathon and Emma Jane and I am happy to hear that there is a sequel in the works. I have butterflies knowing that Mr. Crow will be leading me through more dirty, filthy experiences with Jonathon and Emma Jane.
Fair warning, you will never again be able to think of shaving, round rooms, massages, showers, and condiments with out blushing.
