My Review:

Any Time, Any Place is the newest release in author Jennifer Probst’s Billionaire Builders series; a series I simply adore. I was so excited for this latest installment and it was just as fabulous as I knew it would be.

One of the things I love and admire most about Ms. Probst’s writing is her ability to give her characters such depth and have them feel so real. Each character has little quirks and traits that give them a wonderful dimension. Dalton and his love of wood and star-gazing. Raven and her passion for flavors and mixology. When you’re reading her books, you feel like you’re actually there, watching heir lives unfold. Raven and Dalton’s story was just another prime example of that talent.

I loved watching Raven and Dalton’s relationship evolve and grow. In their own ways, they were both lost and in need of finding their happy ever afters. Both trying to overcome the heartbreaking losses they had suffered. Trying to understand it and accept it. In a million years neither one of them would have expected to find solace in the arms of an enemy of sorts. And yet, that’s exactly what happened. The emotion surrounding their story is touching, heavy, and beautiful. Add to that emotion some serious chemistry, Dalton’s charm, and Raven’s bad ass nature and this book is the total package. Oh, and her signature movie worthy endings? Yep, she’s written another stellar one!

Once again, Ms. Probst knocked it out of the park. I loved this book and can’t wait to see what’s next in store for this group!

My Review:

Good Boy is the newest work from the writing team of Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen. I knew from the cover and synopsis alone I was going to love this book and, oh boy, I was not disappointed!

From the very beginning, Blake stole my heart. His fun witted, sexy banter with Jess was off the charts fun and I loved him. He’s like a big kid in a way an it was beyond endearing to me. He’s quirky and loyal and kind and sexy and I couldn’t get enough. Jess was also a really lovable character with a great head on her shoulders and, even though it takes her some time to find her path in life, is one determined cookie.

Together the fun banter and sexual tension was off the charts hot and I ate it up with a spoon! I knew Jess would be worn down by Blake’s signature brand of flirting (I mean I don’t think anyone could hold out on him!) and when she was, man it was smoking hot.

If you’re looking for a fun, sexy read, this is definitely a must read for you! Thank you Ms. Kennedy and Ms. Bowen for a fab read!

My Review:

Too Wild To Tame is the second book in author Tessa Bailey’s Romancing The Clarksons Series and having fallen in love with this group of dysfunctional siblings back in the first book, I am dying to get to each book and to see how things play out for each of them.

The thing is, with a Tessa Bailey book, the one thing you can always expect is the unexpected. Whether it be the back story to a traumatic childhood incident, or a kind gesture from a relatively unkind person, there are unexpected moments in her books that make the reader fall in love with the story, the moments, the characters. I have to admit, Aaron’s story worried me. I wasn’t sure how I was going to grow to love a guy who hadn’t been the most likable up until now. He was a bit pompous, rude at times, impatient, and just plain douchey. Enter that unexpected thing I was talking about earlier and *WHAM* I was a goner. Suddenly, bit by bit, he won me over. When you read the story, you’ll know the exact moment my perception changed about him *dreamy sigh*.

On the flip side of things, I had an instant love for Grace and her fun and quirky personality. But of course, I was also worried for her because I just knew her history was going to be a doozy and what made her the way she was today was going to be painful to rehash. Indeed, it was and it broke my heart for her.

Together these two are the last people you’d ever think would get together. But again, that unexpected matchup made them so perfect for each other. Both battling their inner demons, not knowing how to win the battle, but knowing deep down it can be done…it was truly something amazing to read and off the charts emotional.

Adding to the emotion to Aaron’s situation was his relationship with his siblings which is in need of some serious repair when the books begins. Now, I won’t ruin anything for you but I will say by the end of this book I was totally drained in the best possible way. I had cried, been angry, laughed, and ended blissfully satisfied….the way only a Tessa Bailey book can do!

Of course, now I am chomping at the bit for Peggy’s story and can’t wait to see where the road takes the remaining Clarkson siblings! Thank you, Tessa, for yet another amazing read!

She jumped. She actually jumped straight up in the air, hands flying to her cheeks. “I love it. Oh, please don’t change anything. I was just so surprised.”

He inclined his head, mentally cursing the way his heart decided to make its presence known at such an inconvenient time, walloping his rib cage with thick booms, courtesy of Grace’s pleasure. How juvenile. “I’m kind of surprised myself,” he admitted, then wished he’d kept his mouth shut.

At least until Grace floated toward him. All shining eyes and rosy excitement, she spurred a lust storm in his stomach. “It’s so much better when you say what you’re thinking, Aaron.”

“You mentioned that.”

And of course, it made him want to say more. Say whatever it would take to get her legs wrapped around his hips. To rock between her thighs until her wetness drenched the fly of his pants. “Get away from me, Grace,” he rasped. “It would be just like me to take advantage of you after having to tell that story.”

He let it pull him down into its depths—her depths—gathering up her taste greedily so he could live with the effect as long as possible, even though surely a man couldn’t withstand this type of arousal for an extended length of time. He’d want to fuck her again as soon as he came. It was a certainty his body was all too eager to confirm. Yet protectiveness held him in a state of limbo. Wanting—needing—to mate with her delicious body while determined to protect her from himself.

Couldn’t she sense the past meaningless encounters he wore like gloves, cheapening everything he touched? Couldn’t she sense his inability to be meaningful to her? God, he couldn’t do it. Not with her face tipped back, lips swollen and shined up, those eyelids halfway fallen. He’d never in his life had trouble resisting sex. It was always a logical decision based on his needs. This? There was nothing cut and dried about it. His attraction to Grace was messy and wild and untapped. Made his chest expand with the effort to contain the expanding of something unfamiliar. Crazy and blinding. His dick needed a good, rough handling from one woman only. Grace. He draped his body over Grace’s slighter one, eager grunts leaving his mouth as he positioned himself over her pussy and bore down with his erection. Their groans were pain-filled, reaching every corner of the cabin, breaking off when Aaron got back to kissing that addictive mouth, yanking the oversized sweater up, up to her belly, so he could rock against her sex with only his pants and her tights as obstructions.

“Aaron.”

My Review:

Under Pressure is the debut in a new spin-off series from Lori Foster, an author I always love reading. Under Pressure kicks off the Body Armor series with a sexy, thrilling, and exciting start. I loved it!

The book opens with Cat (Catalina) on the run and trying to get into hiding in an attempt to save her life. Hired to be the one to protect her, Leese steps in, and immediately the sparks start to fly. Once the mystery start to unfold as to who is after Cat and what exactly they are in for, I was hooked. I mean when you’ve got wealth, power, scandal, and murder, how could I not be? I loved Leese and his loyal, cool under pressure, sexy style. I love Cat’s ability to take a stand for what was right and her non nonsense attitude when it came to speaking her mind. Together the sexual tension was off the charts and I loved the push and pull between them in Cat making no bones about her attraction and Leese trying to keep a professional distance (of course I’m sure you can guess it won’t last the whole book 😉 ) From start to finish this was a great read!

I also have to say how much I loved seeing some of our old friends from Ms. Foster’s Ultimate series. That crew of fighters is still one of my faves!

With developed characters and plot filled with thrilling excitement, I know you’ll love Under Pressure as much as I did!

The door to the interim chief’s office was even narrower than the front so Sophie wadded up the dress again. Squeezed. Turned. Grunted. Until she finally broke through to the other side. She must have looked like a vanilla custard oozing through pie crust.

And there he was.

Clay McKinnon. Or the cute cowboy cop as folks called him.

Even though she didn’t make it back to Wrangler’s Creek very often, Sophie had seen him around, but she’d never seen him quite like this. Sweet heaven. There was blood in his cocoa-brown hair, a cut on his forehead and scrapes and scratches on his knuckles.

“Are you all right?” She used her bouquet to point toward the first aid kit on his desk. Little bits of petals and leaves fluttered through the air and fell to the floor.

He nodded, slid his gaze from her tiara headpiece to her muddy bare feet, before he got back to dabbing his knuckles with some hydrogen peroxide.

“I’m having a bad day,” he confirmed. “But something tells me yours is worse.”

“Possibly.”

He didn’t really look at her, but he lifted an eyebrow. “Possibly?”

“Grading on a curve here, but at least I’m not bleeding.” Sophie wasn’t a fan of tears or mud, but the sight of the blood made her queasier than she already was. “Were you attacked?”

This time he lifted his shoulder. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”

Sophie was sure she’d hear the details of the incident soon enough. Well, maybe. Her situation was likely such a hot topic that folks wouldn’t bother to jabber about a puny altercation where the interim Chief of Police had been injured.

“I need a date,” she said, wiping back more of the blasted tears.

Judging from the look he gave her, he was either about to call the mental hospital or laugh at her attempted joke. Nope, no laugh. She hoped this idea of hers sounded better than it was. Actually, she hoped it not only sounded better, but that it was better. Because it didn’t sound very good in her head.

“Date as in the fruit or a date?” he asked.

“Date.” Which, of course, would require some clarification. Chief McKinnon had moved to town several months ago, but their paths hadn’t crossed enough for an actual introduction. “I’m Sophie Granger. I’m head of marketing for Granger Western.”

“I know who you are. You’re getting married—” he checked his watch “—in about fifteen minutes. But judging from your dress and the fact that you want a date, I’m figuring things didn’t go as planned.”

“No.” And that single-word answer was a huge understatement. It also brought on more crying. “My fiancé, Brantley Barnwell, came by the dressing room at the church and said he couldn’t marry me after all.”
