Listen – Kandi is my queen of angst but she brought that and more to this story!
Carter – sweet Carter. Kandi wrote this character with so much heart and soul, it will be impossible to not feel his emotions and his struggles to overcome his past.
Livia – fierce and strong but hiding so much. She has become a strong, controlled woman because showing any sign of vulnerability, came with a price before.
What starts as a contract, quickly unfolds to more. As I said, Kandi knows how to write angsty, emotional stories that will have you in a chokehold. But this story will also have you in chokehold in more ways than one.
Kandi brings the perfect balance and blend of raw emotions and spicy scenes to these pages. I love that these characters are extremely complex and we get to feel their emotions and understand their characteristics. But I also love that they show their weaknesses are also what makes them strong in ways they were not expecting.
By far my favorite book in this series!!!
