Release Day Blitz & Review…Loathe Thy Neighbor by Teagan Hunt

Release Date: September 17

Don’t fall for your enemy…especially when he’s your new roomate.

Dean Evans is the worst.
Not only does the devil in disguise steal my pie on a regular basis, he also lives in the apartment right. Next. Door.
I see him all the time. At the mailboxes. In the elevator.
Every single morning.
It’s exhausting because he’s exhausting.

Now, after setting his apartment on fire, he’s my roommate…and he’s the worst at that too.

I don’t know what possessed me to let him stay with me. Pity, perhaps?
I do know that I won’t be falling for his charm.
Or that panty-dropping smirk.
His quick wit.
That body he works so hard for.

Nope. Not falling for any of it…least of all him.

There might be a fine line between love and hate, but I know exactly where I stand.

Meet Teagan Hunter

I’m a Missouri-raised gal, but currently live in North Carolina with my US Marine husband and 9-year-old dog. I spend my days begging him for a cat, and I survive off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When I’m not writing, you can find me binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I like cold weather, buy more paperbacks than I’ll ever read, and I never say no to brownies.
Writing is my passion, and this is just the beginning of my journey.

Release Day Blitz & Review…My Darling Arrow by Saffron A Keny

Release Date: September 17

Darling Arrow,
I shouldn’t be writing this.
It’s not as if I’m ever going to send you this letter, and there are a million reasons why.
First of all, I was sent to this reform school as a punishment for a petty, totally inconsequential crime. Not to ogle the principal’s hot son around the campus.
Second of all, you’re a giant jerk. You’re arrogant and moody and so cold. Sometimes I think I shouldn’t even like you.
But strangely your coldness sets me on fire.
The way your athletic body moves on the soccer field, and the way your powerful thighs sprawl across that motorcycle of yours, make me go inappropriately breathless.
But that’s not the worst part.
The worst part is that you, Arrow Carlisle, are not only the principal’s hot son.
You also happen to be the love of my sister’s life.
And I really shouldn’t be thinking about my sister’s boyfriend, or rather fiancé (I overheard a conversation about the ring that I shouldn’t have).
Now if I can only stop writing you these meaningless letters that I’ll never send and you’ll never read…
Never yours,
Salem

Where do I start…….

This is only my second read of Kent’s books. She has an extremely unique writing style (only one other author writes similar to this that I read) and I have no issues with it. But I know that not everyone will like a book that reads similar to a poem and has one sentence paragraphs (if you can call them that) and “choppy” thoughts throughout the whole book.

My Darling Arrow is told from two POV’s but mainly from Salem’s POV. This story has a lot of tropes thrown into this genre of NA romance but it’s not that throws this book off for me. I had no issue with that as they all played right into the story well. It is the consistent repetitiveness of the Salem’s thoughts about Arrow that became absolutely annoying and the connection between them.

I enjoyed the story line and felt that the pacing of the story was good. The characters were interesting but nothing to get excited over. They were one-dimensional and I struggled to see anything past the attraction between them. Salem was pretty much obsessed with Arrow the whole book and I wanted to see her develop more in other areas to show her growth their relationship. There were areas highlighted but took a backseat and really should have been more present to show another connection between Arrow and Salem.

This book was really just right down the middle for me. I had no problems with the writing style and I did enjoy that surmise of the book. I just struggled with seeing the romance between Salem and Arrow and how that developed into more. I am intrigued to see what Kent brings in the next book.

Niamh Farren has been burdened by knowledge for most of her life. As one of seven fae children born into the human world with the ability to open the gate to Faerie, Niamh’s mission is to guide her fae brethren to do what’s right. Because Niamh has seen what will happen to the human world if she does not protect the gate. Throughout the years, she’s traveled the world with her brother Ronan, using her psychic visions to find the fae-borne and convince them to stay on the path that will keep the gate from opening. She has sacrificed much … but when she loses her brother to the mission, Niamh begins to lose herself.

For nearly one hundred and fifty years, werewolf Kiyo has wandered the planet as a lost soul. Cursed with immortality, he spends his awful eternity as a mercenary for hire. When the powerful Fionn Mór confides the truth about the existence of Faerie and hires Kiyo to protect one of the fae-borne, he accepts the challenge out of boredom, not heroism. Yet Niamh is unexpected in every way the werewolf can possibly imagine.

Guarding Niamh from her enemies is nowhere near as challenging as protecting the fae woman from herself. If Kiyo is to succeed, he must help Niamh find herself again, and not just for her sake. Ignoring the fierce connection between them may no longer be an option. A new enemy is rising and threatening to rip open the gate between worlds. To remind Niamh of who she really is, Kiyo must make the choice to lower his defenses and give into their bond. Or safeguard his own heart … and in doing so lead the human world to the brink of war.
