Synopsis:

Kitty was not only beautiful but also incredibly intelligent—except when it came to relationships. It seemed if a guy was a loser, corrupt, deadbeat or unavailable, she was completely and utterly attracted to him. Soooo….I have only read one of Tina Gephart’s books in the past. And honestly, I can’t remember anything about that book – I know, not good. Sorry, Tina!!! BUT, with this book, that won’t happen.

Car Crash is the second book in her Collision series but can be read as a standalone. I did not read the first book in this series and was not lost at all. I am going to assume the secondary characters mentioned in this book were from the first one, but again, nothing was confusing or deterred from this book’s story.

While Car Crash did not really “WOW” me, it was a good read. Yes, it took me longer than it should have to read, but that’s because my mind was on other things going on in my life and it was hard to focus on reading. So I took that into consideration as to why it took so long to read, but it also did not hold that appeal that I HAD to see what was going to happen next. SO there’s that too to consider.

Dallas and Kitty are two interesting characters. I love that they own who they are, don’t apologize for it. They know their best qualities and not-so-best qualities but that’s what makes them unique. They don’t allow society to dictate who they should be.

Car Crash is another slow-burn read but it helps shows the build-up between these two and how they are able to go from acquaintances to friends to eventually more. Their interactions are so natural, it’s easy to picture everything playing out.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story. It may have taken me longer than normal to read this one, but the story itself was still entertaining with characters who felt real and honest. I am definitely going to go back and read the first book, which I did purchase after reading this one.
