He’s bossy, moody, and overprotective.
He’s also a pro athlete who needs to focus on winning games and staying out of the headlines.
I’m fiercely independent and need a man like I need a second period each month.
So when our worlds collide, I never expected him to be the one to jump in and save me. Especially not when my roommate disappears, leaving me with her baby.
I’m clueless about babies—and it shows. Good thing Alexei isn’t. With six nieces and nephews and an apparent hero complex, the dude is both sexy and more than capable. It’s a combination that makes it easy to forget we’re just playing house.

Kendall Ryan has this niche for writing sweet and easy romantic stories. And she nails it on the head again with Finding Alexei.
Finding Alexei is very quick and breezy read, that Kendall can easily make into more, but chose not to, which is ok. It didn’t hurt the story in any way, but for me is what prevented me from loving this book.
We met Alexei (Alex) in Dear, Jane but if you have not read that one, do not worry. He was just a secondary character and not much was revealed about him. The way Alexei and Ryleigh meet, is a definitely a new one and totally not traditional.
Alexei and Ryleigh have chemistry between them and you see it building the more time they are spent around one another. This is an area that I could easily see Kendall expanding upon and making the chemistry even more believable and showing how their relationship was built on more than just their chemistry. But again, it doesn’t deter from how Kendall played everything out.
Even though Alexei and Ryleigh don’t know each other and their running into one another was truly fate intervening, I felt that most of their interactions were normal and nothing felt out character for either of them. I can easily see Alexei’s actions reflect on as how he was raised and later actions explained by hormones and such. Ryleigh definitely keeps herself level headed and tries not to read into anything too much and not truly rely on Alexei.
Overall, the story played out nicely and the relationship felt naturally played out. The way Kendall wrote it, although fast, worked nicely and still came across as believable. Kendall once again write a sweet, sexy and enjoyable story.
