Tie Breaker really peaked my curiosity right from the beginning. It did take me a few chapters to understand the dynamic between Maren and Noah since their love story really began when they were ten and thirteen years old. However, it never bored be to get the back story or first chance at love. Their love story as kids is actually sweet and enduring.
The real fun begins when Maren returns home to handle her grandfathers estate after he has passed away. Not only does Maren have to endure her grandfathers last wishes but she has to do so with Noah. I so enjoyed reading Maren. She is fun, competitive, and really a spit fire. It was actually refreshing to have a female character who was a professional sports player instead of the male.
As for Noah, ummm, you cannot help but love this brutally honest character. As a misfit he has turned his life around and wants to fight for Maren. It is with a little help of her grandfathers ghost that Noah gets his second chance with her. Plus, tattooed, successful, and fights for what he wants- yep, you will love this character ladies. Seriously, not a dull book by any means and I just loved this second chance romance.
Meet P. Dangelico
Dangelico loves romance in all forms, cuddly creatures (four legged and two), really bloody sexy pulp, the NY Jets (although she’s reconsidering after this season), and to while away the day at the barn (apparently she does her best thinking shoveling horse crap). What she’s not enamored with is referring to herself in the third person and social media so don’t expect her to get on Twitter anytime soon. Oh, and although she was born in Italy, she’s been Jersey Strong since she turned six.
