Arranged by Lexi Blake…ARC review

Synopsis:

Kash Kamdar is the king of a peaceful but powerful island nation. As Loa Mali’s sovereign, he is always in control, the final authority. Until his mother uses an ancient law to force her son into marriage. His prospective queen is a buttoned-up intellectual, nothing like Kash’s usual party girl. Still, from the moment of their forced engagement, he can’t stop thinking about her.

Dayita Samar comes from one of Loa Mali’s most respected families. The Oxford-educated scientist has dedicated her life to her country’s future. But under her staid and calm exterior, Day hides a few sexy secrets of her own. She is willing to marry her king, but also agrees that they can circumvent the law. Just because they’re married doesn’t mean they have to change their lives. It certainly doesn’t mean they have to fall in love.

After one wild weekend in Dallas, Kash discovers his bride-to-be is more than she seems. Engulfed in a changing world, Kash finds exciting new possibilities for himself. Could Day help him find respite from the crushing responsibility he’s carried all his life? This fairy tale could have a happy ending, if only they can escape Kash’s past…

My Review:

Arranged is the newest work from author Lexi Blake as well as novella number six in the 2017 1,001 Dark Nights lineup and let me tell you…this story was so freaking good!

One of the things I adore and admire most about Lexi Blake and her writing is that, on top of fantastic story lines, she is always delivering characters that amaze.  Arranged is a prime example of that incredible talent.  Kash is a dynamic hero with so many layers to his personality, one of which takes shape of what he desires in the bedroom.  His desires made him such an endearing and sexy as all get out.  He’s not your average hero and I loved everything about him.  I also loved Dayita just as much.  She is strong and no-nonsense but has a soft side when it comes to Kash and it is positively brilliant.  Their story is one with many hoops to jump through and much to figure out but from the very first page, I knew they would make it all work out.  There was just something about these two that made so much sense, even from the first moment we met them.  Not only did they make things work when it came to the politics of their situation, but they positively SIZZLED in their intimate moments.  Holy moly these two are on fire together! Delicious, I tell you. De-LISH!

I tried so hard to read this novella slowly because I knew I would hate to read that last page!  Unfortunately, when it comes to Lexi Blake books, there is no way I can do anything but devour them *dreamy sigh*

Whether you’re new to Ms. Blake or a long time fan, I know you will love this story as much as I did!
