Jane isn’t entirely sure that Cinderella got such a raw deal. Sure, she had a rough start, but didn’t she eventually land a prince and a happily-ever-after? Meanwhile, Jane is busy waiting on her demanding, entitled sisters, running her cleaning business, and . . . yep, not a prince in sight. Until a party and a broken shoe incident leave Jane wondering if princes—or at least, a certain deliciously hunky billionaire—maybe do exist.
Except Brock Wellington isn’t anyone’s dream guy. Hell, a prince would never agree to be auctioned off in marriage to the highest bidder. Or act like an arrogant jerk—even if it was just a façade. Now, as Brock is waiting for the auction chopping block, he figures it’s karmic retribution that he’s tempted by a sexy, sassy woman he can’t have. But while they can’t have a fairy-tale ending, maybe they can indulge in a little bit of fantasy . .
RVD is always a one-click for me. There isn’t one book by her that I have not read nor I have not loved. And this is just another amazing example of why she’s a go-to author.
The Bachelor Auction is truly a modern-day fairy tale. It’s very Cinderella-like but has so many new twists to it, you can’t help but fall in love with everything.
“She was the only woman who had offered something money couldn’t buy. Her heart.”
Brock is the eldest brother and also the one who takes care of everything. He can’t say no to anything and that’s caused him to forget about living for himself. But there’s a deeper reason behind why he’s the way he is.
Jane took over family’s cleaning business and has been her sisters’ “maid” since they lost their parents. I don’t think Essence or Esmeralda even knew how to function without Jane. But Jane wanted to keep the promise she made to her father before he passed on – to keep the family together. But at what cost?
Rachel wrote a very heart warming story with the perfect touches of humor and sexiness added in. I loved how everything played out – from the ranch house to the ball. The twins, Bentley and Brant were a perfect addition to the story and made me laugh out loud more than once. I truly can’t wait to read about both of their stores in future books.
“A woman like you doesn’t belong in the shadows.”
RVD has once again wrote another amazing and intriguing love story!!
