My review:
Out Rider is the eleventh book in author Lindsay McKenna’s Jackson Hole series and admittedly the first of her work that I’ve read. This was a nice departure from the romances I normally read I enjoyed it a lot.
Dev and Sloan’s romance builds at a slow and sweet pace with lots of patience and respect. I really enjoyed both character’s personalities and watching their attraction grow. It was decidedly slower than a lot of the romances I read and it was a really nice change of pace. It felt like a romance from a simpler time and I loved that aspect. Dev is coming off of a traumatic event and Sloan’s respect of her personal space and feelings was really amazing. He’s a true gentleman with a wonderful outlook on life, even after his own past failed relationship. They are really wondeful together with a lot of similar traits and philosophies.
I also really enjoyed the suspense layer to this story with the return of the man responsible for Dev’s current situation and her reluctance to trust men.
When I started this book, I didn’t realize there were so many books in the series and I was happy to find out there were. I am definitely going to look into the pervious installments!
